- Hudson's Adventure Island is a side-scrolling platform game produced by Hudson Soft that was released in Japan for the Famicom and MSX on September 12, 1986. Adventure Island was released in North America for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987 and in the PAL region in 1992 under the title of Adventure Island Classic.
Adventure Island is an adaptation of the arcade game Wonder Boy, developed by Escape for Sega. Adventure Island was followed by a series of sequels with no connection to the Wonder Boy series.
The player controls Master Higgins (known as Master Wigins in the United Kingdom and as Takahashi Meijin in Japanese versions), a young man who ventured to Adventure Island in the South Pacific after hearing that the Evil Witch Doctor kidnapped Princess Tina. To rescue her, Higgins must survive a series of 32 stages. There are eight worlds called "areas", which are divided into four stages or "rounds" each, which are further divided into four checkpoints. When the player reaches the fourth round of each area, he must confront a boss at the end to continue to the next area. The game is completed when the player saves the girl after defeating the eighth and final form of the evil lord.

The Hardest Worst mechanics on a debut game but the sequels are so good and fluid.
I been stuck on 8-3 for 15 years
a good game very nice from my childhood, ah really thank you very much it's great. I still play it sometimes thanks to an application or with an emulator

Wow, awesome run. This was always one of my favorite games; something about the way it was constructed and laid out I just found addictive. Though try as I might, the farthest I could ever get was 8-2. Glad these playthroughs exist now so I can see the last two levels.
I see what must have happened at a couple points. I guess you forgot a couple hidden eggs, so you went back over it to uncover them... (I was wondering for a second why the score and the lives jumped and then jumped back.) And there may have been a fruit or two or an "enemy" (boulder) or two passed by... but I suppose maybe it's just not possible to get/hit everything (and survive).
Otherwise, this looks pretty amazing and flawless. Have you tried running it again, seeing if you can beat your final score?
Nice, 700 grand (just finished it)! I was hoping you'd hit that before your score disappeared. You don't get your score tallied or the pot bonus for 8-4, do you? Also, didn't know you could stand on the air where the bridge used to be after the final boss, that's funny.
By the way, if you get 20 points for shooting icicles, would that not make them count as "enemies"?
The idea was to make a 100% walkthrough. I am happy with the score. :)
@@SmokeyTheBear125 I got the pot for 8-4 when i hit the first fire. Depends how you look at the icicles... enemies or natural hazards or both. I only saw them as natural hazards.
