    At 4:20 what does he add to the bottom of the plane? Beeswax or paraffin or something similar?

      i'd suspect camellia oil.

      @@glenmatthewwilson Really? I thought that was just used for plane irons for rust protection.

      Aburatsubo is camellia oil, but Japanese oil. There are several use for aburatsubo. Using it over the sole of kanna not only to lubricate but to clean dust particles.

      @@michael.knight I'm no expert, but i believe Toshio Odate says camellia oil is used this way. I certainly trust estudio Hayabusa :)
