0:00 to 4:34 shows the route of the Otaki expressway to the left. Around 4:34 to 4:51 is where the new expressway and local roads tie in to the Kapiti expressway. 16:51 is where Transmission Gully ties in. The remaining road travelled is the current SH1 which won't have any significant changes made to it.
What a difference that is going to be once fully completed but what was the road surface condition like in some areas it seems like it needs re coating.
Hello Geoff, did the government take the opportunity to reroute the railway along this alignment whilst they had all the big machinery out or are they hoping that those people who use the trains will switch to their cars, doing away with the need to sort the railway out along the Kapiti Coast.

This isn't the new motorway. That is a couple of years away and it won't go to Pukerua Bay.
