    If you have time. I think vacuum a room with the shark. Then the work horse to see what happens. Then redo with the shark to see what still might come up.

      I feel like the shark vacuum is a scam. Like they made a vacuum that picks up some of the dry soil each time. I vacuumed our dining room filled the canister. Then vacuumed it again and the canister was half full...Like why am getting more and more dry soil? I just vacuumed! haha

    I watched another company do a cleaning, and they didn't even vacuum before they used the CRB. You could see debris on the carpet while they were doing the cleaning. It was ridiculous. Folks need to watch you clean before they hire anybody, and if their company doesn't match up, they need to look elsewhere. I have no carpet, and live as far away from you as you can get in the US, but I wish you could come to Seattle and clean my linoleum.

    The Workhorse started out in the 80s as the Amway CMS-1000, it was later revised, they changed the tool selector thing and added the height adjustment, and called it the ClearTrak. In the last few years they changed the name to Workhorse. You can still see the Amway logo on top of the cyclone housing. That oval globe like logo on that circular piece of plastic where the handle meets the upper body.

    There ok in a pinch, but in order to get deep down dirt and dandruff out of the carpet not just on top , which you can’t see with your naked eyes you need a very heavy industrial vacuum like the Kirby ... if you don’t believe me do a test ... take a living room carpet and vacuum with the Workhorse then empty the Canister .. then vacuum again with the Workhorse to make sure you got all the dirt , hair and dandruff out ... now vacuum with the Kirby remember to move the vacuum slowly across the carpet to get All of the dirt the Workhorse left behind and remember to start with a clean new Kirby vacuum bag , then Rip that bag open and see what you left behind... you won’t believe your eyes...
    Trust Me !!!

    When the workhorses dies, check out Miele or Riccar. Bagless vacuums are bad for the home, the dust goes airborne and once you dump it into the rubbish, the dirt you picked up just goes back into the air. I have a Miele S7 and I love it, 3 layer cloth bags for $20 a year. Bagless vacuum filters ate supposed to be replaced every 3 months, so a bagged is cheaper in the long run.

    How quickly do the filters clog on these vacuums and what’s the suction on the hose end like. When Dyson launched the DC01 here in the uk people complained that hose suction was poor compared to a bagged clean air upright and the pre motor filter used to clog quite quickly. No change with Dyson really ( I despise Dyson )

    I know you say you don't like bag vacuums. However, you should give the Kirby a try. It has a bell head and actually sucks the carpet up and lifts dirt from the bottom layers. They are pricey, but come with a lifetime warranty. If you need a new one, you give them the old one and they will upgrade a new one for free. They are the best vacuum on the market.

      The Sharks perform great, however they've got a short life span and lack of parts. In comparison there are people that have had the predecessor to the Workhorse called the ClearTrak for 30 years. Depends on if you want to spend less money on the Shark and plan on replacing it, or spend more on the Workhorse and have it forever with some simple upkeep. The Workhorse is also made in the US compared to the Shark being made in China.

    • @nicholaswilliams1197
      @nicholaswilliams1197 5 лет назад

      I have one, and a few other vacuums too. They are very good indeed. The heavy agitation and very high airflow make a good deep cleaner. It lifts the carpet off of the floor and pulls air through the back of it. The current series (starting in 1990) have a transmission built in because otherwise they are nearly impossible to push. They are a bit heavy, but the "problem" is that they suck down onto the carpet so strongly. With the transmission, they are super easy to push. If you want a louder, less refined, but cheaper Kirby, look at the Royal Metal Upright (or look for a used Kirby).
