Could be an internal malfunction, I would return it for another one. I had no issues with it exploding so must be defective. You could also make sure the batteries are new, used ones could hinder the performance. Best, TC

Our creeper won’t explode. He moves forward and backwards but won’t explode at all. Any idea why?

How did you get the creeper body open? I cannot get it open
