I’ve never seen a guy more apt to do what he does. It’s obvious he loves this work, and watching him work is inspiring. I also find it interesting that he’s so energetic and intense, yet so patient with reading the tree and making his cuts. Instant fan here
I've learned sooo much from your videos! I started about 2 years ago, getting my own firewood and taking down bad tree's. Your channel has probally saved me 1000's of dollars by doing it myself! The largest tree was a big, heavy leaning white oak, about 25" base and 75ft that was leaning towards my house! Wedges and with your advice I got it down nice and safe! Thank you!!!!
I have the CS590 and CS501. I had Stihl for 20 plus years, bought the CS 400 for my dad and was BLOWN away!. Great little saw. Bought these two for myself, sold my Stihl's. They were good saws, but these Echo's simply smoke them on cutting speed and ease of starting. The 590 Timber Wolf is simply unstoppable, very hard to bog down.
"And i don't give a flyin hoot what anybody says or thinks, if yer nice to people, honest, and hard workin, then hold yer head high. Be kind..." True words brother, i will not skip a beat. You get what you give, it all comes around
Buckin your channel inspired me to get back in the firewood buisness. sold my first two cords new years eve. Thank you very much and happy new year everyone.
Billy, you are amazing with that chainsaw. The ‘Tree Whisperer ‘ I dub thee... I love the positive attitude and positive comments my brother, you are a good man and you have an amazing family. I am happy for you.

Hey there Buckin' That hot rod Echo runs quite well. I am curious to see what it'll do on a full house grind. Should improve the cutting quite a bit. You and Hogan mentioned Victorious. I haven't seen him lately, I hope he's doing OK. Next time either you or Hogan see him, please tell him I said hello. Good evening to the True Blues and all of my friends in the Buckin' Army. Another awesome falling video. You make it look so easy making under cuts and such. If you felt like making a video of some tips and pointers for the firewood guys it would be appreciated.
Started watching your videos a few weeks ago and have subbed and followed you on Instagram. Thank you for the informative and entertaining content! I also appreciate the kind and motivating words in this video!
I've got a collection of Echos ranging in age from 5 years old to 30. None of them has ever let me down. Keep them sharp, keep the gas fresh, and they will run every time. Not as powerful or fast as a Stihl or Husky, maybe, but they just always run. 👍
The Echo 620P is the next saw on my channel! Gonna put a pro bar on it with the adapter. Guys having good luck with up to 28" bar! Thanks for sharing and for not being brand blind!
Not a pro but i have ran mine hard for 2 years 24" bar runs great still, american made 3-400$ less what more do you want? Not quiet as smooth maybey but neither is a Harley 😎
I bought my first Echo saw in 2008. Been running it since with no problems. Only saw to ever last me this long. It may not be as fast as a Husqvarna, but it is about as fast as a Stihl, and it keeps running without having to fix it. I just replaced the sprocket, she is still going strong...
I've had a 620pw with a 24" bar for last 2.5 years and it's been awesome. I've cut a ton of wood with it and as log as the chain is sharp it rips through everything.
They might be assembled here but they are a Japanese company. They know, very well, how to make a reliable two stroke. Don’t think twice about buying them. I just got a CS620P 24” bar and she will keep up with or cut faster than offers from Sweden, Germany and the USA. USA. I had four Stihl’s and two Husky’s I feel they are good saws. This 620 is great, starts great from -40 to over 100-degrees F. No issues and she is spinning 10-hours a day five and sometimes six days a week. For a homeowner, you will never wear this saw out. Five year warranty, very reasonable price, I don’t think you can beat it.
I e never ran a echo but I'd definitely give it a shot, I've always run old Stihls :).. welcome New subscribers. My opinion there's no better place on RUclips, where else can anyone find love and kindness? I'm proud to be apart of it :) love and kindness too all
Darrell Ashby after having bad luck with stihl, i decided to try their smallers pro saws (501p) and im very satisfied. they make good products for sure!
@@ryy597how are buddy? most of my saw are vintage like my old homelite super xl auto and Stihl o31av ect, I haven't bought a brand new saw since 2001 or so husky 272xp never had one issue with it.
Darrell Ashby i would keep the 031 if i were you, the stihl “0” series saws were great saws. but if you are looking for something newer you should give echo a try! husqvarna did good with their 562 and 572, very great saws. I wish i had vintages saws beside my partners!

Love my 620P. It was between a Stihl 362cm and the Echo for my last upgrade and the Stihl was $360 more. I have been using the 620 for over a year, and have no regrets or buyer's remorse whatsoever. Starts easily every time, runs good all day and cuts everything I need it to. I would buy it again, with no hesitation.
You always brighten the day ☀️, and you and your crew always cheer me up and make me laugh my ass off, all the best to you and your family. Take care, Tim from Ontario.
Man oh man Buckin, you can sure fall those trees right where ya want em! I only wish I could be half that good here in the southern Illinois surrounded by all these hickory, oak Ash and maple! I seem to always hang at least one every time! Then I'm in a real mess!
Sure sign thinning is in order. Nice job on the saw! Best of the New Year to ya! Been digging out of 2ft. of snow while had a cold, bronchitis and the 24hr flu after the others. busy three weeks.
Oh yeah, the CS620 is a nice saw, and its big brother, the 680 can be a real brute when hopped up the right way… I've tried the CS800 P once, and that saw has got some grunt for sure, kinda heavy, but pulls like you know what :) Nice video.. like it a lot! Keep'em comin' buddy… stay safe out there..be KIND :)
I was eyeballing the 800 on their site. Looks like a decent upper-midsized saw. I’d like to see Buckin’ run a ported version next to one of his 372’s or a 576.
Ooo I will buy a shirt that has yer quote starts with "And I dont give a flyin' hoot" got my attention and worth its weight in facts! Ordering merch very soon. This was a good video. @@@intothewild2345 I am familiar where Martinsville is. Made the mistake of trying to go through there over 20 year ago and forgetting it was NASCAR weekend... . . . . LOL. We have a good mix of pine trees and hardwood around with our own unique problems. We don't have allot of root rot like Buckin is dealing with. Our problem is that the water table is so high, that the tree roots don't have to go down very far to find water. So all it takes is a good strong wind to blow healthy trees over. I also have to agree with you, this channel has changed my life. I am so blessed to find the channel and the awesome people that are a part of it. Take care, my friend. Bought myself the 590 for Xmas. Same saw minus the full wrap. I need the full wrap. Strong strong saw....BUT. My dealer admitted they're shipped WAY lean for EPA and told me to never ever remove the red handcuff caps lol.Plug was white after 10 tanks so I gutted the muff and gave her 1.25 on the low side and nearly a full turn on the high. Shipped set at 0.25 on the H needle! Now she pulls 24"LGX buried in Eucalyptus with a sweet burble when I let off. Wonderful saw for a fancy new kind of thing. Love your work man.
My Echo dealer removed the caps, re-tuned the saw, and reinstalled the caps for me, and says he will stand behind the 5 year warranty for me. Says it must have come from the factory like that. Nice guy!!
I remember that video when you high stumped that tree. Crazy good fit. That’s just incredible that those trees are green with root rot. I never would have guessed bc I thought the tree couldn’t transport nutrients or something to keep it green. Hmm a green snag. Very cool
Nice saw. Too bad about all the root rot. But hey, you gotta do what you have to do to be safe and protect the house and property. Good video work Hogan!!
Buddy!...island buddy! Stay safe for gosh sakes! Great vid! The second to last tree of the vid gave me what my mom would call the “Willy’s”! I got the Willy’s watching! Please never lay down beside a stump ever again for frig sakes! Run, move, heads up! Thanks for the watch islands friend That echo saw is nuts!
Saw sounds real good ! Pulls 2' of wood with a full comp chain. Just fine ! Im in interior. ALASKA so dont have a lot of timber over 24" on the stump Good video
My parents have a small lake lot, and the owners used to space the sites 50 feet or more apart, very tall but think pine trees growing in mossy wet sandy soil. When the land was sold, the new owners came in a doubled the number of sites but placing them maybe 20-30 feet apart. Since that happened 15 or more trees have fallen around and on my parent's trailer. Simple because they cleared too many out. What you said about the trees standing together makes100% sense.
u guys getting busy with storm aftermath work I see. been constant felling on the channel lately. your skills really on display when your doing logging type work. you make it look easy.
Thanks for showing this saw I have been looking at one these for firewood work (60 cords) all maple ,cherry and birch hardwood plus general duty farm stuff ( fence line clearing etc) Have a couple stihls but cut great so hard to start 5 to 25 pulls , not good with a bad back (old 034 and 028 and 036 ) , great video
I'm glad to see good reports on the echo, I've been using two smaller echo chainsaws over the last 5 years and want to go bigger now, I know they aren't quite what a pro husky or Stihl is but they work for me and fit my budget 👍 safe cutting everyone
I've had all brands of pro saws and I have to tell you with a port job these echo run with any brand but the real thing that makes me buy echo now is they can sit and still fire up in a pull or two, no husky or stihl saw I've ever seen or used will do that.
My Husqvarna starts on the second pull, has done for over two years. But, I get your point. My previous Stihl and Husqvarna saws were always slow to start. There’s nothing like spending time outdoors. Stay safe everyone. ✌🏻
I've got a 620PW. I've done a decent bit of falling and bucking with it over the last 9 months and so far it's been a great saw. Keep a sharp chain on it and good gas in it and it eats through everything.
If your a firewood guy or an new tree guy I would totally recommend these echo saws!!!!for the money they r really good saws, they seem to be getting very popular and they make good pro saws and home owner saws!!!!I own many of them new and old,big and small and love the reliability !!!!I don't know why there not as popular as Stihl and huskys???
Steven Blake echo is one of them brands that trys alot of new stuff and there brand has suffered over the years cause of itif im not mistaken they were the first with a fuel injection saw they do seem to be on that upward climb again
HolstonValleyDuke there are good and bad saws in every brand somtimes you get a lemon just like viehicles ive personally owned 6 different brands and i was never disappointed on any saw but i am a 3rd gen stihl guy
I bought a 3510 for a brushing and limbing saw. Absolutely love it. Light as a feather and great on smaller thinning stuff. About to get a 620p to replace a 271 stihl and a husky 460 rancher. Getting a husky 51 from my wonderful dad to fill the mid range thats probably going to be my first modifying project.
Great to see you put that Echo through it's paces - got one myself and love it. Also very cool to hear you talk about the BC falling program (?) changes. You are a font of knowledge Buckin'!
Buckin great drop on thos tree's. That echo 620 saw has been showing up alot It's got my attention. That one sounds nice. Stock chain is not my favorite but I use it for a bit . Till I get my had sharpen on one. Now I'm kinda want to see that saw with your hand file on it. I think I would be really impressed with ur hand file on it. I do understand it seems u like ur 70cc saw and bigger. Did look up echos line up and they do have a professional 70cc saw. Also curious to the cost for a saw to get walker do a saw. Found this older video, and always you impress me and learn more. Great job buckin love your influence and information.
Nice video. I've become a big fan of Echo the last 15 years. Years ago A local farm supply had a Echo CS 670 that didn't sell for over two years so they had it on sale for a bunch off. Picked it up still runs fine and has all the power I need.
Buckin...I'm sure part of Donnie's "Walkerizing" included the removal of those carb limiting tabs. With a port job and muffler mod you really need a tach to set the carb properly. It's not like my old Homelite 360 or your Macs where by ear is the best you are going to get. The older saws are a lot more forgiving as was life in general back then. Echo has weird bar sizes and chain link sizes. On my Echo I went with Oregon bar and Stihl RS chain. If you do your magic with your Silvey I can't wait to see you or Hogan with an Echo Light Saber! Keep the love flowing and congrats on 40K
Great video I’m a Echo guy hands down! I recently purchased a Stihl MS271 and it’s a beast I’m kind of wishing I bought a Echo Timber Wolf after further research. Hey Buckin great to see you finally having a good go with a 620 I’m still loving mine over here in the UK 🇬🇧 that said mine is still bone stock and running an 18” bar but I’m giving some serious thought to a little exhaust mod and a 22” just to see what it’s like but as I mostly cut hard Woods I don’t think I’d go as far as a 28” 😃 All the best and happy new year to you and yours
Mine came bone stock with a 27" bar and the saw doesn't play with its food to say the least. The 20" bar I bought with it competes with almost any saw out there.

Thanks for the watch islands friend
That echo saw is nuts!
That was fun nice job on the echo Bobby Walker 👍
Hey buckin just want to say you're my inspiration and I've just recently became a tree climber
Saw sounds real good ! Pulls 2' of wood with a full comp chain. Just fine ! Im in interior. ALASKA so dont have a lot of timber over 24" on the stump
Good video
I'm usually doing the work and my dads watching . Always finding interesting jobs is the fun part.
Ya helped me to take care of my trees on my own. adrenaline rush cuttin big trees. Thx for what your doin
Echo just straight rippin' ass through that wood and he's like: "Eh, I wouldn't use this saw all day, it's not strong enough."
He is partial to antiques. Hard to get people to change.
It's not heavy enough lol
As Daddy used to say , " it runs like hell after a yearling ".definately high permormance all the way
Been watchin u for few weeks now love vids n ive learned alot from watchin u cut
The army has hit 40,000! Welcome new subscribers! Love that Echo! Be kind!
snowy river lol
Buckin' Billy Ray Smith 91,200 subs!?!? Are you freaking kidding me?!? Love Wins!!!!
Great tips on root rot. Good sales point! Hey, a tree far from the house could "domino" other trees onto the house....yeah, sales point! Get down BB!
Great job saving lives. Happy new year.
Remember, everyday is a gift. Thanks for the video's and advice. Take care.
u guys getting busy with storm aftermath work I see. been constant felling on the channel lately. your skills really on display when your doing logging type work. you make it look easy.
Stock chain though ... but, I'd take a 461 any day over a little 590 or 620 ... but, Walkerised seems to rip pretty good ... great sounding saw.
First time watching. you're the man. Love to watch real men work
SuperDuper Educational Channel. I LuV this site. Thank You, Buckin’!
🐝 kind and ❤️ love it nice job Buckin.
I love the slow motion engine sputtering sound 🌲🌳🌿🌳🌲🌳
I'm glad to see good reports on the echo, I've been using two smaller echo chainsaws over the last 5 years and want to go bigger now, I know they aren't quite what a pro husky or Stihl is but they work for me and fit my budget 👍 safe cutting everyone
I've had all brands of pro saws and I have to tell you with a port job these echo run with any brand but the real thing that makes me buy echo now is they can sit and still fire up in a pull or two, no husky or stihl saw I've ever seen or used will do that.
my stihl fires right up but I always run it fry when I put it away for over a week or two.
My Husqvarna starts on the second pull, has done for over two years. But, I get your point. My previous Stihl and Husqvarna saws were always slow to start. There’s nothing like spending time outdoors. Stay safe everyone. ✌🏻
I love watching these things I love what he stands for I usually don't make comments but I think what he's doing is great
buckin and the army i just wanted to wish you all a very happy new year god bless all of yas
She cuts eh! It ran good being walkerized! Nice job Donnie! Happy new year army 🎊🎉 #bekind
I got cs 590 and Shindaiwa 591 and built them and I'm very happy.
I've got a 620PW. I've done a decent bit of falling and bucking with it over the last 9 months and so far it's been a great saw. Keep a sharp chain on it and good gas in it and it eats through everything.
YOU SIR ARE A MASTER WOODSMAN!!
nice job with those trees. I like your videoes they are good inspiration :)
I have a cs620 Pw that I run for my firewood business runs awesome stock
have the exact saw pullin a 30 inch sugi lightweight with a full skip chisel. love the saw
How's your saw do with a 30? Probably no difference than a 28.
Carl...whats the part number on that bar!!??!!
Shouldn’t these 60 cc saws be limited to 24 inch bars, max? I love my CS-590.
@@rndm4642 echo equips the 620 with a 28" bar from factory.
Nice job.. like the Echo.. sounds great...
Plus, fanboys gonna fanboy!
I just bought a cs590 for my firewood warrioring.
After my last Stihl experience I’ll never go back.
HolstonValleyDuke there are good and bad saws in every brand somtimes you get a lemon just like viehicles ive personally owned 6 different brands and i was never disappointed on any saw but i am a 3rd gen stihl guy
Joseph Warren true, true. I say to each their own. My last Stihl experience wasn’t that great so i went bang for buck this time.
Not hating on anyone.
yes, good point, I looked at two, that one and the Dolmar 6100. I went with the Dolmar in the end, because I am from Germany ;-)
You are a font of knowledge Buckin'!
glad you are here
Buckin great drop on thos tree's.
That echo 620 saw has been showing up alot
It's got my attention.
I have the shindaiwa version the 600sx and absolutely love it!! Great saw!!
Nate Cox I loved the shindaiwas I used to work with
Is it a shindaiwa in orange colors or a true echo desing ? Love shindys :).
40k. Congratulations Buckin 👍. The leadburn logger Scotland.
logger how are ya friend
Nice video. I've become a big fan of Echo the last 15 years. Years ago A local farm supply had a Echo CS 670 that didn't sell for over two years so they had it on sale for a bunch off. Picked it up still runs fine and has all the power I need.
Holy hand grenade you do own sleeves lol love the videos very helpful in my infancy in tree work
to bad about all the dead trees seems like trees are dying everywhere, love those cutting videos. nice job filming Hogan
Always got such excellent skill and control over the situation. Love to spend a cpl days cutting up firewood w billy
I have samecho saw and love it!!seems like they r getting really popular
But anyway you can’t go wrong with either brand! I subscribed to your channel as soon as I saw “Be Kind” the world needs more ppl like you!💪🏽
Hey Buckin great to see you finally having a good go with a 620 I’m still loving mine over here in the UK 🇬🇧 that said mine is still bone stock and running an 18” bar but I’m giving some serious thought to a little exhaust mod and a 22” just to see what it’s like but as I mostly cut hard Woods I don’t think I’d go as far as a 28” 😃
All the best and happy new year to you and yours
Mine came bone stock with a 27" bar and the saw doesn't play with its food to say the least. The 20" bar I bought with it competes with almost any saw out there.
I've run several 620s with 24 in bars pulls like nobody's business got a video of one I ran with a 24 in a couple 32plus inch poplars wasn't my saw tho a d the thing had a bad airleak too but boss wouldn't fix it so I ran it
Mine still stock..I run a 24" last 3 years... looking to Mod mine Soon..
MAC 10/10 HE RUNS ARE BAD @$$!!! LUV YUR VIDEOS Billy!!.Enjoy FREINDS
great work and perfect control of fall Bill. fantastic the performance of the echo620. They are good machines and of great quality. I have Japanese and 17 years old and fight better than the first day. a big hug
The Echo saw sounds great to me. Its rappin out fast cutting good.
Happy new year from Holland.
