I stands up rather well against the 1.63 I must say. I even beat the fuel score last week; best now is 5.3L/100km ! Really happy with this block 😄 Yes it’s a really lovely region, not so far from Ath and Gent (Ronse) and is called the « Flemish Ardennes » due to the hills rather rare in the Flemish region. 😉
I have the 1.3 160hp version, upgrading from a 2012 qashqai with 2.0 dci diesel engine it feels like in roundabouts you either don't move or spin the wheels, it has too much torque at revs, other than that it is FAST
Hello, nice to see someone with a j11 n-tec version, I was lucky to find a j11 n-tec with the 1,3 l - 159 HP engine. Really a great car, love the configuration, but I have about 8,5 l / 100 km when driving in town with some hills. My perception is different from yours, I feel the torque only after 2500-3000 rpm when accellerating in 2nd gear e. g., it doesn't really get fast at the beginning and on the "Autobahn" it's going really quick to higher travelling speed when accelleration over 100 kph in 5th / over 130 in 6th gear.
Hi Mathieu, I still love the N-tec version. It looks great with those black accents. Your experience is exactly what I had on my previous 1.6 DIG-T motor. Only over the 2500-3000 revs and above 100km/h it kicked in. Now it’s the opposite almost. Very nice when driving mostly in the city 😇
yes, my wife owns this one and I'm surprised how the 1.3 is dynamic especially in the city. Unfortunatelly the new qashqai is not that quick, they slowed it down I think due to emission limits
Hello can you tell me how better is noise insulation in the cabin compared to previous 1.6 Dig-t model? I have 1.6 Dig-t (2015 year) and over 130km it is quite noisy in the cabin mostly from road-tyre noise, I am thinking switching to restyling model like yours, but if noise insulation in cabin is the same there is no point doing that. I believe that is a bit less noisy but still the Qashqai isn’t the most silent vehicule I think. The rims size, type of tyres used also will matter of course and I believe that the most of the noise is caused by the side mirrors and is wind noise. That didn’t change. This said, noise is a personal experience I believe so best would be to go for a test drive. Overal the cockpit is just a bit better, small details like lighted window switches from factory for instance, USB ports in the back,… and for the sound I would say yes but not much. 😉
Vorige week heb ik een Qashqai 1.5 DCI van eind 2018 gekocht, omdat ik de 1.3 de kracht vond missen. De 1.3 trekt wel snel op, maar het stopt al zo snel. Ik kom uit een Sportage 1.7 CRDI die getuned is, daar zit zoveel power in. Ik hoop dat ik de 1.5 DCI ook kan chip tunen zodat deze vergelijkbaar wordt met mijn oude Sportage. Hij is in ieder geval veel luxer en stiller dan mijn Sportage en ik vond hem een stuk krachtiger dan de 1.3. Ook bekend met het optimaliseren van het motor management?
Nee. Nu is de 1.3 sowieso makkelijk te boosten want de 140 & 160PK hebben exact dezelfde motor. De beperking is dus louter programmatie. Maar meer is m.i niet per se beter. Ik kom uit de 1.6 DIG-T en vind juist de huidige 1.3 vinniger. Die 1.6 kreeg pas bij veel hogere toeren echt koppel. Ook qua verbruik vind ik wel belangrijk hoe de motor het doet. 😉

Thank you so much 🤗 I never drove the 1.2 dig-t… for normal daily driving they are perfect but for more sportive driving or areas with more hills, climbs etc you maybe want some more power..? I did at least. Otherwise they are good motors only the very first models had some issues with oil loose I think. 😉
Hi! I just fell in love with this n-tec version and the J11b is a bit better finished than the J11a. (Carplay, semi-automatic driving, all LED,…). So the motor wasn’t a reason at all I even doubted if it would be powerful enough. But after 5 sec test driving I discovered that it even was more nervous 😉
Bonjour, c’est vrai qu’il y a un peu d’huile sur le moteur est je l’ai déjà montré à mon garagiste mais il ne pense pas que c’est une fuite mais plutôt un peu de condensation d’huile. D’autant plus que je perds rien comme niveau d’huile. Mais je retourne bientôt donc je lui montrerai à nouveau 😉
Bonjour, merci pour votre réponse. D'accord, car sur mon Qashqai J12 1.3 dig-t j'ai eu de l'huile sur le haut moteur et ça venait du joint silicone du couvre culasse. Il y avait de l'huile en stagnation vers les injecteurs j'ai donc signalé ce problème a Nissan et ça a été pris en garantie.

Manu thank for your life review! In Russia we have only two engines for Qashqai : 1.2DIG-T (115 190 Нм) and 2.0 (144 200 Нм). I have the second one and it`s too slowly :( I don`t understand why Nissan restrict own business in Russia there are so many space for powerfool engines and fuel is rather cheap (0.5 EUR)!

Here in EU it was only in the beginning of the J11b model. Now it is only available in 1.3 and in a 140 and a 160 HP version. And.... 0,50/Liter? WOW! :)

Hi! I would go for the newer 1.3 engine. It performs absolutely fine and I never regretted my old 1.6 so far and that’s 9 months already. The car itself J11b (versus the J11a) is also slightly better on the details. As Carplay integration on the later models (check for the absence of the SD slot), powered windows from the keyfob and all automatic (one press the open completely) free TomTom map data etc.
Ben au contraire. On a plus de couple en bas régime. Donc on le sent justement plus puissant. Surtout en ville et sur les départementales 😉 la consommation est légèrement plus élevée, le moteur doit travailler un peu plus dure mais n’oublions pas qu’il est encore tout neuf...
Plus de couple sur un moteur de plus petite cylindrée qui est moins puissant pas sur et le miens n est plus d origine un peu plus de CV et en mix suis à 7,1
@@ochimusha17 Ben entonnement ce nouveau moteur produit les 240Nm tout comme ton 1.6 d'origine ;) Voici une petite comparaison: 1.2 116 190Nm 1.3 140 240Nm 1.3 160 260Nm 1.6 163 240Nm Pas mal et il faut savoir que le 1.3 DIG-T 160 est le même moteur mais avec seulement un autre cartographie... je pourrais donc le faire tuner pour qu'il devient encore plus puissant mais c'est pas mon truc. Va l'essayer sinon à l’occasion dans une CC. Tu verras qu'il reprend beaucoup plus vite que le 1.6 qui faut d'abord monté dans les revs avant de vraiment bouger. En tout cas c'est comme ça je le sentait. Comme toi je n'y croyais pas jusqu'au moment d'être derrière le volant. Il est beaucoup plus réactif ce qui est assez agréable.
Tu peux atteindre 240nm et 130cv avec le 1,2 😁 un remap/E85 et c'est réglé, sinon je pense que eu as fait le bon choix avec le 130cv car le 160 et sa petite cylindrée sur le long terme j'ai un peu peur de sa fiabilité.... Downsizing inside 😂

Really. My 1.3 140 has a lot of power and does spin sometimes but overall I love it (coming from the 1.6 163hp)

i drove 1.3 158hp... a lot of power for 2tonnes 20'' (235mm) tires beast
I can believe it! It’s the same block as the 1.3 140hp but that one is limited by the bcm. Did the 158hp had also couple on low revs?

I mean, on my 1.6 dig-t 163hp the couple only came at 3000 revs. With this block I have power immediately so it even feels more powerful.
