You might find this historical fact interesting but Stalin wasn’t the first Russian leader who did forced labor in Siberia . The monarchy in Russia the tsar had forced labor for hundreds of years . The Soviet forced labor were called Gulags but the imperial ones were differently named. When the communists came to power they greatly expanded it and sent their own prisoners there. The gulag in the original modern warfare 2 where captain price was held was an imperial forced labor prison converted to a gulag . Also my great grandfather had to fight like hell to survive Stalin’s gulag. He survived because he got drafted when Germany invaded the Soviet Union . My great grandfather was a Polish POW.
Also Stalingrad (now known as Volgograd) is still having dozens of bodies on both sides and tons of equipment found each other even after 80 years later. I’ve talked with metal detectors in the region online and bought items from them, they say any bodies or dog tags from both sides they’ve found would be taken to proper authorities to send home to their countries if properly identified. Another excellent video dude, keep it up dude👍.
The fight over Stalingrad was gritty and a genocide of warring ideologies. The amount of pain Russians experienced by Nazi Germany is massive. In fact it was so profound that Russia completely banned public access to Mein Kampf. This is how poisonous Nazism is to Russians. There’s a brilliant German anti-war film, “Stalingrad” (1993), depicting the horror and futility of the Stalingrad campaign. At the end of the film it says that 91,000 Germans were taken prisoner. Only 6,000 returned after the war.

Anyone who sheds light on history and especially the atrocities deserves much praise. Soviet history or just Russian history in general can be depressing. Very little value on human life. Hitler may be considered the archetype of evil for millenia to come but Nazi Germany only had about a ten year reign compared to the Soviets 69 and they were holocausting before the Nazis debut. I highly recommend doing a little Google peep or RUclips search on the Holodomor, Cannibal Island and The Gulag Archipelago. These stories expose the harsh realities of communism.
So here's a thing, even if Hitler told Paulus to retreat, he wouldn't be able to, he would need to give the order for retreat the day Operation Uranus happened, but at that time it wasn't clear that the soviets would be able to achieve as much as they did as fast as they did and giving that order later wouldn't matter since it was too late, plus it was assumed that breaking the encirclement would be a matter of weeks.
At the time of Vendetta Germany is very much still winning the battle with barely a strip on the west side of the river in Soviet hands The problem with Stalingrad was its length more than anything which made holding it difficult and why they of course lost it

After Stalingrad hitler vowed to never promote anyone else to the rank of field marshal again until the war was over. Another thing worth mentioning the Northern spearhead stabbed right into a German Allied Romanian unit. Which held its ground and was wiped out.

Thing with ww2 is there’s too much information to digest, you learn something but it barely covers the entirety of the war, it’s the tiniest bit of info
Yea. And Realistically everything told and heard can’t be 100 percent accurate. I mean let’s be honest we could tell a 100 percent accurate story of something that happened and in a few days it could already be altered by the time another person hears it. Imagine YEARS and decades
When i was a little little kid i used to tell my mum about stuff in ww2 before this game and before school teaching us about it she asked me how did i know but i was saying stuff i knew what happened btw i had no internet access at all when i was little little kid we all thought it was weird that id know about stuff without do any research at all btw i was born in 2001
I guess starting all videos about USSR/Russia without any reminds about “evil (insert your favorite theme) in Russia” is prohibited by FBI and USA senate.
@@theterriblepanda It's always interesting talking about who was history's biggest monster becasue there are a lot of differant things that one has to consider. Like body count, the methods of their cruelty, and of course if your inclined you can also include the legacy the tyrant left. In Mao's case his legacy is still well and alive with the CCP. The same can be argued with Stalin with Putin though I think its to a lesser extent. In any case it's no suprise that while hitler was pure evil, He doesn't deserve the title of history's biggest monster. Though considoring with the whole Ideological subversion Yuri Bezmanov talked about going on in the US it doesn't suprise me hitler ended up as history's biggest monster. Especially since FDR was trying to distance himself from hitler after his infamous quote about hitler's germany being a "marvel of social engineering" and how he was "envious".
It depends how you evaluate a monster Hitler would have been worse if he won! He had a plan to kill 50 million in Russia 🇷🇺 it just didn’t work. He’s worse than Stalin and Stalin is still terrible!

More ww2 battle discussions either in COD or actual history please
Man when I used to play this game fighting the Nazis especially. I felt the actually anger and just hate towards the evil evil crap they did. This was by the far the best Call of Duty they made because man it definitely brought out the vibes of a deadly historical conflict.
This is still the best cod of all time idk what anyone says
Agree.

Love ur vids. Also waw was the best cod game. Nothing else came close the matching the gloomy doomy atmosphere of war. Amazing story, online without a bunch of dumb skins. And ZOMBIES.
Actually a good video and yes I played when I was in second grade and screamed at the last mission this is my history lesson makes me want to grab a ps3 to play again
Lmao, appreciate the support bro 🪖🪖

Thing with ww2 is there’s too much information to digest, you learn something but it barely covers the entirety of the war, it’s the tiniest bit of info
Yea. And Realistically everything told and heard can’t be 100 percent accurate. I mean let’s be honest we could tell a 100 percent accurate story of something that happened and in a few days it could already be altered by the time another person hears it. Imagine YEARS and decades
Great work keep up good work
Appreciate you! 🫡

I guess starting all videos about USSR/Russia without any reminds about “evil (insert your favorite theme) in Russia” is prohibited by FBI and USA senate.

Stalin and hitler where girlscouts compared to Mao.
I know who I gotta look into next
We need a WaW 2.
That would be crazy
Please remaster this game, Treyarch
