i still go fishing with my sons and there both in there early twentys, we had some good times when they were young, even my daughter has been a few times,
Just watched this again and its great !!! , then i had a look at the comments ( some of the are a disgrace ) . Lets get it right this is a young child catching fish some of us at his age could only dream of . His farther as far as im concerned is one of the best anglers in the country ! . Andhe was trying his hardest to let his boy play the fish himself and hold the fish himself . If people (ADULTS) are of the frame of mind to slag off children yes CHILDREN this world is bollocksed come on people these kids are our future of angling . That young lad now will no doubt have the bug and fosh for the rest of his life . As for the program its fantastic thanks to Martin, Bernard , hugh and everybody else involved .
happy kid :) good activity for his age. he can mind about clubbing and other things later if he chooses to. Is better to teach him patience and self control. That way in the future he will be more careful. There is no need to keep them on a leash, they will move on from your protection sooner or later anyway .So the least you can do is teach them self control and patience and perseverance like fishing teaches you .They will be one step ahead everyone else later.Good way to grow up.
dont like to be a kill joy . you teach them how to fish . but never the right way to hold a fishing rod . NOT right at the butt end . i see this in all young anglers .
i think u'll find the boy said can you help me pleeease .!!! nothing to do with accent tbh with ya.check your facts before u try to put someone down for making an honest opinion :-) tight lines!!
I hate sensors personally. I mean I embrace technology but using radars and alarms seem so cheesy and you lose the traditional practice of fishing IMHO.
Seriously? A lot of american kids do have manners like that, it is the parents not the kids fault. The kid turns out how the parents teach them. When i was a kid i was a very well manored kid and know that i am a tennager i am still very well manored. Its guys like you who have no manners...

Absoloutly fantastic !!!!! . Fishing at its best .
good on ya, i wish my father had more time to take me fishing
As an Australian i can say that if it was a croc that he hooked it wouldent be swimin away from him, anyy way looks like a good show
wish american kids had manners like the kid in this video
It's called a waggler float. They are attached bottom end only, through a small eye and are long, thin pieces of peacock quill, balsa wood or plastic.
generally 3-4lb mono for float fishing. 6-12lb mono for ledgering (bottom fishing).

Yeah, i thought so too. But some people just like to use it that way...
Is there not a drag system on the reels?
I wish I could show you what Randy caught yesterday.
what lb test line and what type of line do you use for this? mono?
domt think that young lad likes fishing as much as you would like him to
No, no he is looking at me....

better way to play bigger fish,,it allows them to take any line they need but under a controlled manner,,,;)
why didnt they show how they land some fish, like that record breaking perch. makes me wonder if they even do land them..

A few years ago since this was made now

but dont compare to the ways of chris yates in a passion for angling (in my opinion)

doesn't it feel good to pull in a big size fish
dont like to be a kill joy . you teach them how to fish . but never the right way to hold a fishing rod . NOT right at the butt end . i see this in all young anglers .

your really should not hold large fish by the gills if you intend to release and hope it survives
Its fine to hold pike by the gills i think he knows what hes doing its safe for a parties involved

Manners were not even on display, he simply asked for help ... taking the accent as being more well mannered shows your education level ...
