@@AllThingsLost Back in 2016, the Undertale fandom was booming. There were lots of really popular fanfics coming out around that time. But there was one that really made an impact on the internet. The story that created the Flowerfell AU; one of the most beloved AUs in the Undertale fandom. It was called Overgrowth by SociopathicArchangel. The fic was loved for it's beautifully dark concept and it's not so happy ending. It spawn thousands of pieces of gorgeous flower g0re artwork and even a song still loved to this day called Secret Garden. Unfortunately, with all of it's success and praise, dozens of dumb 12 year olds seeking attention copied and pasted the story from Ao3 and tried to claim it as their own. The original author, SociopathicArchangel, was sick of these dumb kids harrassing them for supposedly stealing their fic. So they deleted it. The only remaining unedited copy of the story is a video by CaitieLou reading it with permission. Another legendary fanfic that went missing was Dear Starboy. It was a notoriously terrible TomTord (ughh) fanfiction. The entire Eddsworld fandom was split on their opinion of it. One side (usually dumb 12 year old girls) was praising it as if it was a god or something. The other side thought it was absolutely disgusting and laughable for how terrible was. I don't quite remember what happens in the fanfic (I try to erase my memories of the awful Eddsworld fandom because they haunt me) but I do know that it was so toxic and unhealthy in it's representation of a relationship. Sometime right before I left the fandom, Dear Starboy randomly disappeared off of wattpad with very little traces. I've heard stories of TF2 fanfics that existed and have now gone missing but most of those.. I cannot share on this good christian platform.

I feel like a cool idea for a video could be "Lost Media that might not even exist." There's tons of examples of stuff like that out there, but I feel like the most interesting on was the apparently "lost" Hannah Montana Anime pilot.
Literally just today somebody from the sewer reviewer discord found the original Bob the Builder pilot episode! Maybe a good video topic for the future.
I remember hearing of some Bob The Builder lost media being found on a Discord server of mine that's for this obscure show that has some lost episodes to it. This show is known as A Little Curious, and it's pretty obscure.
I've just found this channel and I really like this non-creepy, more light-hearted take on lost media. As a fan of Blame It On Jorge's content aswell, it's great to have a more relaxed alternative to it when I'm not in the mood for scary content! I really hope this channel grows more over time.
Good to know I'm part of lost media! I was a MySpace musician. I also had a band on there with some songs back in the day. It was honestly the best place to get your music heard.
Same man had about 5 EPs worth of material on MySpace we were in our 20s we didn't distribute or burn music we just recorded & uploaded, the page was a promo if you dug us come see us and now it's all gone.
Yeah, about that... The guy who made *THE* comment confirmed that it was just a misunderstanding, those red eyes he was talking about were the ones Bonnie shows in the last scene of the trailer ._. that was dissapointing
The first two sites that came to mind while reading your comment are KidsEdge and MaMaMedia. KidsEdge had an online virtual pet game called Dotzworld. It's a game where you raise smiley face/cool-spot-looking characters. These "dotz" would come in various shapes and sizes (I remembered a blue scientist one). I remember playing a couple simple games (like tic-tac-toe) with these "dotz" characters and would just look around the site for more games. As for MaMaMedia, I remember seeing a strange claymation web series with colorful charaters. Both Dotzworld and that claymation web series have very little references throughout the internet. I could barely find any references to KidsEdge outside of some unrelated education site, let alone Dotzworld. I had looked across other lost media videos and could barely see any references to Dotzworld, Kidsedge, and that weird claymation web series. Meanwhile, I could easily find episodes of Princess Natasha (another web series that came around the same time in the early 2000s), albeit in poor quality and with most of the episodes still missing. Sorry for that long post, it's just that I am just really looking for information on the kids websites that I used to go on during my childhood. So many of them have been lost to time.
I remember a game called dinosawus that I played as a kid. (It was like club penguin, but with dinosaurs.) It's gone now, but I think the rights are owned by a company called Custard Square. When I use the way back machine to access the dinosawus site, it redirects me there.
Fun fact: The full toy story 2 movie could of been lost media if it weren't for a pregnant woman. She worked from home during her pregnancy and something happen where literally all of the servers were deleting the files. They went to her house and brought the computer back to the studio with pillows around it in the backseat or something like that and re-uploaded it. Like, that still blows my mind.
Maybe a video about "10 more pieces of lost media that are better off lost"? That was an interesting video that has a lot of potential given there is plenty of lost media that should stay that way
That should never be a video, because that should NEVER be a thing. I personally find that very idea abhorrent and goes against what SHOULD be the ethics of any preservationist. It should NEVER be a preservationist's job to judge what should be lost based on mere personal opinion. If one's goal isn't to preserve ALL media equally, then they need to get out of this community.
@@the-NightStar I think what you're saying is pretentious BS. Everything is subjected to personal opinion, and if you find something so disgusting you think it shouldn't be used even for educational purposes it should probably never be published.
I find the fact that even in the modern World with the Internet been so prevalent media can still go missing to be really disheartening, all the more reason for me archive as many things as I can especially since Dmca makes archiving things harder there was a band I like called Electrasy and some of their songs that where only available on their Myspace page are not longer there lucky i save some of then including a a missing track from their album "In Here We Fall" you know what? a video on lost music from obscure band will be a good topic since the indie muscians often get overlooked

I'd say the videos that MaxMoeFoe is sitting on, he's mentioned there are videos of him, Franku and Chad that were never edited or released, and now with Joji music, will never be released now.
speaking of max. video already got reuploaded, but his "i am pokémon go" (one of his better collection overviews tbh) was deleted/privatized from his channel could've been lost
One piece of internet lost media that I don't really see many discuss is Forrestfire101s videos. For those who don't know he's a Lego animator best known for his Batman videos and the music video for the Duck Song. Back in the day he'd sometimes delete videos he made, because he wasn't too much a fan of them. Some have been re uploaded but a lot are still missing. A few examples I can think of is Killing Winnie The Pooh, Batman vs Bane, and some old video commentaries on his second channel. He also planned to make a sequel to the Ultimate Lego Race, but ended up shelving it as he didn't think it was that funny. I think there's a tiny piece of the intro that can be found on one of his blogs though.
I remember him doing a video were he fought with a friend to death with fake blood and everything. It had two endings. In one he went to eat McDonald's after killing his friend. I can't find it anymore. Maybe he deleted it?
Mr. Beast's worst intro series is what made me start to watch him, so it makes me super sad that most of it is lost media. That series along with his world record attempts are what made him blow up and be where he is now
As someone who orginally found and watched mrbeast's channel from the worst intros on youtube series, they were far better than his current content where he just gives away money. Wish he didn't delete them just because they were edgy.
It's not because they were "edgy", it's because he was dunking on real people who were little kids. With the size and audience of his channel, there's a 100% chance those people would be harassed. He made the right choice, that should be obvious.
Love your videos.I’ve said this before but you should totally do a video on lost film cuts. The 3 hour cut of Planes Trains and automobiles. The R rated cut of Indiana Jones and the practical cut of the Thing prequel are all good places to start
I’d like to see the deleted scenes from the movie the shining but sadly, that’ll never happen as well as the deleted scenes from the Indiana Jones movies
myspace deletion of their media is a disgrace. i did find some songs from myspace artists on soundcloud and even some on youtube, but not all that were on the playlist. it was an expedition to search for these artists and songs, to find out what happened to them, where they are, why the quit, etc, but these days websurfing is so annoying with all the pop-ups, auto-play trash, or "please buy subscription" blocking the page you are looking at mid-sentence. also lost is 4chan, ytmnd, fads [before memes] funny videos and comps due to "hate-speech", copyright bs claims, and soon youtube will remove channels that havent been logged in in ages. an episode for the future to showcase, all youtube lost media.
Lots of lost media is media that is simply withheld. Take, for example, the Armin Meiwes Tapes. They exist, they're out there. They are held by German authorities and will never be released to the public. They're considered lost because us common folk can't access them. That said, this example is an extreme and deserves to remain lost. Still, it is considered lost media even though it's been found, as it may only be accessed by a few people.
I know of a piece of lost internet media: RUclipsrs "Black Nerd Comedy" and "Lisbug" use to do a weekly RUclips show called "Popaholics" for a channel that they didn't own. I do not remember the name of the channel, I just remember there was multiple shows about pop culture on it. This channel is now deleted, along with all it's content. All video and information about Popaholics has been wiped from the internet. Now when look up the term only pimple popping video come up. I want to know what happened and maybe see a Popaholics video one more time.
The first piece of internet lost media I think of is Cayleigh Elise's videos! I used to watch her a lot and was sad, but understanding, when she decided to stop uploading. I was shocked when I realized a few months later all her videos were deleted. There are still a decent amount of videos that are up because people saved and re-uploaded them, but last I checked there are a lot that are still lost. Don't know the exact numbers. While I'd love to have all of them found and re-uploaded, I think I'd also feel a bit guilty if that did happen. Idk, she just seemed like she didn't want any of this stuff up anymore? But whether or not it should be re-uploaded, it's still lost internet media nonetheless!
She was my favorite source of true crime videos when she was uploading, I didn’t even realize all her stuff had been deleted. Glad at least for the cases that were reuploaded that they can still be remembered, even if she doesn’t want to be associated with any of it anymore
There's lots of this sadly. I sometimes remember something from the 2000s and find out its gone. One I've always wanted to find was an archive of Planet of the Imps, which was a funny Doom webcomic I liked back in the day. I even voiced in a bad newgrounds Flash Cartoon based on one of the strips, which is one of its only online records at this point. Also mentioning lost MySpace music, I actually have one such piece tho it helps that it was made by a friend. I also want to find the Brows Held High episode called "What is it?" It gets taken down because Crispin Glover doesn't want people to see it and has threatend legal action, but it sometimes shows up on RUclips here and there but I wasn't able to save it in time.
Wait, was Planet of The Imps the one where there was a parody of Ren and Stimpy called "Ren and Stimpack"? I couldn't remember the name of that one and I kept looking for it, it sucks if it is gone. :/

I don't know if this matters but I can think of 2 pieces of internet lost media that's been bugging me for months now. And another was a female cover of "we are number one". I loved both of those vids and it's a shame they're just gone now.
@Darling Vexa Art Blockbuster, gamecube games where super cheap in 2007 so I often played those instead! It's amazing to think that some of those games I got for $2 ended up changing me as a person. I wonder how many other people realize that...
@Darling Vexa Art Check out Urban exploration videos, they often visit abandoned locations like that. Some channels are really good and they tell you all about both the location and the business. As for blockbuster, I think there's still ONE blockbuster somewhere in the USA, so it's not entirely lost.
Hi! I have a bit of feed back for you :). I've only seen 2 or 3 of your videos but something I've noticed is that you have a very watch mojo-esk presenter voice if that makes any sense, and since your audience is interested in lost (typically in some way or another spooky) content, It might be cool to try out some different vibes while you go through the list! Obviously you should have your own unique flair, but toning down the top ten list feel and going with more of an eerie guide through the internet might work more in your favor if you're up for it. More of a "look at this and all the weird stuff associated with it, wonder if we'll ever find it..." then "heres the craziest lost media, sucks we wont see it lol, next :D". None of that's to say you cant have a happier attitude though, you should like the videos you make before we do so try not to worry about it if you end up not liking how the vibe comes out. Trial and error is always key, you'll find a nice balance eventually if you want to switch it up. Another thing, since you do tend to do lists, is that you could also mess with just putting "the internets most saught after lost media" for example in the title and doing smaller lists that allow you to cover fewer topics but do so more in depth. This way we can really understand the hunt and context for each item. Speaking of, I would love to hear more about the hunt for the content then just that the content might exist somewhere. I think "can we find the treasure?" Is a lot more interesting then "this is what the treasure is" if that helps at all. If you want to experiment with your content in the future- those would be my suggestions, and I hope you get to have fun and grow as you continue to make content :D - a new viewer who should probably get back to studying

I cannot tell you how many infamous fanfictions have gone missing and become legendary things in fandoms.
Do you have any examples? I would love to hear them.

Since you’ve done lost internet media now. How about lost websites maybe?
oooooo this sounds like a good one
Homestar Runner boutta get lost
I remember a game called dinosawus that I played as a kid. (It was like club penguin, but with dinosaurs.) It's gone now, but I think the rights are owned by a company called Custard Square. When I use the way back machine to access the dinosawus site, it redirects me there.

He also planned to make a sequel to the Ultimate Lego Race, but ended up shelving it as he didn't think it was that funny. I think there's a tiny piece of the intro that can be found on one of his blogs though.

@Darling Vexa Art Check out Urban exploration videos, they often visit abandoned locations like that. Some channels are really good and they tell you all about both the location and the business.
As for blockbuster, I think there's still ONE blockbuster somewhere in the USA, so it's not entirely lost.
0:51 I see what you did there.
10:34 There Was No Lost FNAF Trailer, It Was Confirmed To Be Just Bad Memory
If you want to experiment with your content in the future- those would be my suggestions, and I hope you get to have fun and grow as you continue to make content :D

i remember one short memory from my 1st birthday at chuckie cheese in 1989: the animatronics faces playing on the stage they had. i just remember seeing the stage, being held by someone while they were talking to someone else and the animatronics starting up and talking about to do w/e it is they did. its not just the faces either, its how they moved. i always hated costumed things, like i never sat on santas lap, id always scream so theres only 1 pic of me with santa where im not crying lmao. also any other costumed mascot,i went to a barney meet up and cried and flipped out even though i loved barney. even when i went to disney when i was 7 i was still creeped out by em but i took pics with tigger and pluto cuz i love em and i was older so i grew out of it eventually.
cameraheads reminds me of this one SCP. i cant remember the name or number of it but it was like british police but robots and they had cameras all around england or w/e that would report people being out or hurt them or something.
I would be interested in a video of things that seemed lost for years upon years, only to suddenly turn up. Like how there seemed to be no change to find the McDonald's Japanese training game for the DS. But it has now been fully released as a rom online due to Nick Robinson
Awesomely enough, the Worst Intros has been completely found!
anybody remember blackarmsstudios? Did fandub parodies of tons of games and some anime, a lot of Sonic. Those were like some of my first viewing experiences on youtube but sadly a lot of its gone. The lead guy is actually still around making horror gaming video as TheAestheticgamer and I tweeted him a few months ago asking what he still had and sadly he dosnt have a ton of it either cus it was all on old computers he no longer has :(
i remember watching a lot of the bad intros series. the only part i really remember was someone taking the watchmojo intro and just slapping a png over the watchmojo face. mr beast made a funny joke meme thing where he said "hey can i borrow your homework?" to himself with a watchmojo logo over his face, and watchmojo mr beast said "yeah, just change it enough so the teacher doesnt notice."
that may or may not make sense at all
The fnaf lost trailer never existed. It was a guy mis-remembering the first game trailer, the one with all the weird demo stuff.
