I want to add that the zilla movies were supposed to be a trilogy. But because of the bad reception that the first one got the other two never came out. The plot points of those two movies were used in this series.

It is a robot that constantly gets rebuild. About the "death" issue, I like to use this allegory: if a ship gets constantly repaired and rebuild until not a single part remains that had been on the original, is it still the same ship?
If you answer no, then yes almost every Nigel death is a true death, since he most likely needs complete replacement, making each incarnation a complete new one.

Yep, this is the original's offspring, raised by Nick and more of a protector than a destroyer.
I saw every episode of Godzilla the series and man it was so freaking hilarious how many times N.I.G.E.L. got trashed either from Godzilla or other mutations they dealt with throughout the series run and because of it I lost count on how many times that happened.

one of the biggest arguments i have to prove the 1998 godzilla was a GREAT movie! How else would this thing warrant a freaking animated series to it!
The episode with the mutant spiders reminded me of Kumonga and with that mutated chameleon the way it fell apart after getting hit with that blood coagulant reminded me of what happened to Orga at the end of Godzilla 2000 as like that mutated chameleon Orga fell apart the exact same way and the giant robot from the episode where they were in Japan reminded me of MechaKong and CyberZillla is this series version of MechaGodzilla.
