I have the same situation as you. I am currently waiting for my study permit extension but I’m finishing school in about two weeks time. I just didn’t get it right, did you work in that period of time when you had your completion letter but still waiting for the extension? Or did you wait until you got the extension and then you applied for the PGWP? Because I have a job now and I don’t want to quit or anything but I don’t know when the extension will arrive :(
Hey! At that time, I did not have a job. However, I believe you can continue working based on your previous study permit conditions pending when a decision is made on your study permit extension
hi madam, you got your study permit extended only for 3 months?? again when you have applied for Post Graduation Work Permit , work permit will be considered again after 4-5 months.. Again your status becomes implied before you receive your open work permit???..normally IRCC considers work permit applications after study at a time span of 4 months. kindly Reply.
Hello! I got my study permit renewed to get my 3months balance as that was what was remaining. I needed to renew my study permit in order to apply for my post graduate work permit and that is why I did that.

But someone advised me to stop working as I cannot work saying - You are NOT authorized to work after you submit your PGWP application while on implied status. Can you please tell me if it is true ans should i stop working?

If you do not have a valid study visa or have not got your permanent residence card - then yes, you’d need a TRV to travel in and out of Canada

I believe you are allowed to work pending a final decision on your application.
