Little tip here: If you want to decode something, you can do it without the key The most common letter/character is most likely e, so write that down If you find a common three letter/character word that ends with e, it is most likely the. Write down what t and h are. You can then use those three letters to figure out other words, and continue going Of course, you could be wrong about what e is, and have to start over, and that is ok. You could be wrong what the is, and that is ok. It is mostly trial and error I learned all of this from Edgar Allen Poe. If you know what story I learned this from, you will know it did not age well, and was pretty racist. Just saying that I am not racist, I just like that story... except for the character who is literally a black stereotype.
That’s super interesting!! I hadn’t thought about that. I bet you’re right! Thanks for sharing! What was the story Edgar wrote that you learned this from?
That's pretty much how a simple substitution cypher can be solved. If the words are spaced out, look for the short words first. A, I, AND, I'M, YOU, ME, Etc. That should get you at least a few of the vowels. After that, use that to fill in some of the words. If things start to fall into place, keep going. If it's nonsense, go back and change something, then try again. Of course, this is only for simple cyphers, and assumes that it'll translate directly into English (or whatever region the attraction is in). Even if it translates into nonsense, there might be another puzzle involved, or it might not mean anything at all.

I went to Omega mart last night in Vegas for my b-day and its the most amazing experience I've ever had. It is beyond genius. Its triumphant. I'm into all the weird dark humor performance art stuff so this place was right up my ally. The amount of detail put into each AND EVERY thing you came across is overwhelmingly awesome. Just a weird beautiful tripped out adventure that you can tell a lot of people put there hearts into. I'll come back to Vegas just for this
I've seen a few Omega Mart "ads" and just thought they were just some cute surreal videos that were reminiscent of Welcome to Nightvale. So happy I was recommended this video and discovered it was a massive art project facility. THIS is the sort of unfiction that I adore.
I first heard about Omega Mart from the lemon recall video. At the end I was really confused why it said "Come buy tickets!" because I thought Omega Mart was just another normal looking supermarket. Boy was I wrong. After some digging I found this video and I finally realized that Omega Mart is like an attraction. I know you probably didn't come to listen to my ted talk but whatever, you were the one who read my comment anyways!
I am so very proud of You! This was a wonderful dive into Omega Mart. As you well know, this can be a very deep dive, but you made several deep scratches on the surface and I am very impressed. There may still be some unresolved or misdirected issues regarding some of the main characters in the story, but I am sure all will be revealed in time. :eye:
Thank you so so much!!! Yeah I’m sure I got something wrong haha its such a detailed and in-depth experience! I can’t wait to discover more with time! 👁
Thank you for making this video! I have no way to get to Vegas to see this awesome exhibit but have searching high and low to find out the story and lore. I’m so happy you do such a thorough dive. Great work man!

You seem like a upbeat and down to earth kind of guy, that talk on how though you may not have creativity you can still take part in helping creativity grow in others by supporting their envisions was a nice touch on an already great video that you took your own time and resources into making. You aren’t afraid to be real with your reasonings, which adds a sense of humanity to you as a narrator, while also expanding upon them in a way that helps transition towards the deeper aspects. Its sad to see these underrated channels hide away in their own enclaves, as so-called “creators” who have everything handed to them and have since started pumping out drastically low quality content as a result have more popularity. Hope this video helps you develop an audience seeing how it’s your most popular video, you truly have shown that you deserve one.
Thank you so much for this video, I needed this to remember why I do what I do. Thank you so much!!! Yeah I saw all the other videos and how they just focused on the visuals and had nothing to do with the story. Thank you so so much for the comment!!!
I haven't been here yet and might not ever go but it's so cool to see these. At first it just seems like "oo trippy weird interactive thing" but it goes so much deeper. There's a story and a reason behind it. It's wild It's so simple but even the people working at the attraction act like they're working in the story it's based off of
Might I make a suggestion? Omega Mart: Abridged. Basically a video like this, explaining the story an lore. The twist/joke is to explain it in the perspective of a Resistance member or conspiracy nuttrying, to a rookie/newbie with so, *so* many questions
This video was so convenient! I just got back a day after you posted this video from the experience without any knowledge of Meow Wolf. I was exposed to so many mysteries and questions without answers. It left me stressed out. Thank you for this video!!
I watch weird stuff on RUclips all the time. Eventually the algorithm took me to omega mart commercials. Was beside myself when I found out it was an actual place in Las Vegas. Lost it when I realized we were gonna go to Las Vegas the following month. Went and I was so impressed. It took us a good 3 hours to see MOST of it. The story was amazing
Thanks for this video! I just recently went to Omega Mart and didn't think it was going to be THIS DEEP. I spent about 3-4 hours with my boyfriend trying to figure it all out. But it's definitely got me thinking that there's no way someone would get this whole thing the first time they go! Either way, I was in awe at how beautiful everything was and how it contributed to the story!
Coming into this video I thought oh man it's just gonna be a higher oversight and not be good but man I really loved this video it explains so much and clears so much up and I was surprised by your sub count you deserve way more man.
Man they need to build one in Grand Junction Colorado or Denver. I live on this crazy mountain/ canyon range that is just miles and miles of uranium ore. That’s perfect for an alien story
IM SO GLAD THIS EXISTS BECAUSE MY BRAIN ABSOLUTELY MELTED AT THE NOT KNOWING. I’m still going to want to go and experience it for myself no doubt about it. I want to visit Area 15 anyway.
Can we talk about how amazing the actors are who play the employees because that man just stayed in character and explained what he would know without spoilers or breaking character? That stuff is so epic to me.
Small correction to your explanation: "Augmented reality game" is not ARG. ARG is "ALTERNATE Reality Game". Augmented Reality games are just video games that use the real world as a setting via 'enhanced/augmented reality glasses/visors' or mobile phone screens. Alternate Reality Games, or ARGs, are what Omega Mart (and the Jejune Institute and New Noology Network, among others but those are the most similar ones I can think of, before it) are interactive stories played *actually in* real life, sometimes by interacting online and sometimes by interacting in person. Sometimes the two overlap, but they're not interchangeable terms by any stretch.
Im actually wondering if this is inspired by someone with ASD's real world experience of supermarkets in general, to a lot of people with this condition going to a regular supermarket, in a sensory way is very similar to the way omega mart is depicted to 'nerotypical' people. Sounds , light, everything sensory is overwhelming and products are nonsense. But it is depicted in a very positive, artistic way that most people regardless of neurodiversity can appreciate.
@Sweet “What in the Goddamn?” Tea Ah, so dont experience the sensory issues some people do? If you do with the lights, smells, sounds that are everywhere through this exhibit you would know what i was referring to. It is very similar going into any regular supermarket with the noise, overwhelming visual clutter of advertising and smell. The artist seems to have added this experience in a more whimsical and delightful way.
as an also very autistic person, this comment feels. kinda gross? like, yeah supermarkets are weird and all and feel different, but that doesnt really have anything to do with this exhibit, which is really typical surrealism coupled with cultural critique, not a fetishism of my neurodivergence. there's an actual underlying story and everything, it's not. Not everything has to be like that Sia movie.
@@SethHisoka I said nothing about this being what the creator themself was representing, only that it is similar to what i experience myself but in a more positive way. not sure how you can interpret that as a bad thing or representative of everyone, fetishistic or representative of an idiot pop icon misrepresenting people for her own gain. Nerodivergence varies from person to person significantly, and Im not trying to represent anyone but my own opinion and experience.
Hi, I'm a year late, but as a severely autistic person this comment literally put into words something that I've thought ever since I first learned what Omega Mart even is. You hit the nail directly on the head- this place, for me at least, is a heavily exaggerated but extremely accurate version of what regular stores are like. The lights, the noise, all of it. However as you mentioned, they've put a positive spin on it. I've always had a special place in my heart for the strange and unusual, so if real grocery stores were more like Omega Mart maybe I would actually be able to have a good time there
Seeing this three years later as I just visited Omega Mart myself and had the BEST time. I felt I got most of the story but had to leave sooner than I wanted due to dinner plans but I figured I’d find a video online detailing anything I missed!! So thank you for posting this! Edit: there are things in this video I never saw while at Omega Mart and some aspects that I feel like they changed and added over time, at least based on what I experienced and what was shown in the video, so this is super cool that you recorded all of this from when it opened awhile back.
Thank you for this video! I visited Omega Mart its second week and went through the whole Boop story and explored as much material as possible, but this video helped tie everything together for me (I even saw that employee with radish people plushies walking around with them and you managed to explain that for me too). Would definitely love to see you do a video on House of Eternal Return!

I found out about OmegaMart while at a business conference in the area last July. I understood it as an artistic surrealist experience and begging my coworkers to go with me to check it out. 2 mistakes: we went late at night and didn’t have time to play out the whole story (the story that I was unaware existed until arrival), and my coworkers were all drunk. I will definitely be going back this summer to complete the tasks and finish my exploration! 😎 Thanks so much for this video! I have family friends who live in Las Vegas who I’ve been dying to see since they moved there from over here the East Coast! Obviously we have been planning that when we do come we visit tourist attractions all throughout Las Vegas and spend a lot of time together as a family. The only reason why I haven’t traveled to Nevada right now is because of college, finances, and obviously the COVID-19 pandemic getting worse over here. By the time I visit Las Vegas, Omega Mart will probably be closed down :( but videos like this have been helping me experience it without actually being able to be there! The Old Testament is also where the "Biblically accurate Angels" come from! You know, countless wings attached to a wheel of eyes, etc. There's a reason why Angels say "Be not Afraid" whenever they interact with someone...

Little tip here:
If you want to decode something, you can do it without the key
The most common letter/character is most likely e, so write that down
If you find a common three letter/character word that ends with e, it is most likely the. Write down what t and h are. You can then use those three letters to figure out other words, and continue going
Of course, you could be wrong about what e is, and have to start over, and that is ok. You could be wrong what the is, and that is ok. It is mostly trial and error
I learned all of this from Edgar Allen Poe.
@@ThirdEyePsychology The Gold-Bug
That's pretty much how a simple substitution cypher can be solved. If the words are spaced out, look for the short words first. A, I, AND, I'M, YOU, ME, Etc. That should get you at least a few of the vowels. After that, use that to fill in some of the words. If things start to fall into place, keep going. If it's nonsense, go back and change something, then try again.
Of course, this is only for simple cyphers, and assumes that it'll translate directly into English (or whatever region the attraction is in). Even if it translates into nonsense, there might be another puzzle involved, or it might not mean anything at all.
What about other languages?
@@agrihonoberjorn1612 to understand other languages you need to know other languages. You could probably figure out what someone is saying if you know latin, since it’s a root language

They have another installation in New Mexico called "The House of Eternal Return" and are building something un Denver as we speak. So they're expanding all over the US. Pretty sure at one point they'll go to other countries if they're popular enough.

:eye:

This is the nicest comment I have ever read. Thank you so so much for this. ❤️

I haven't been here yet and might not ever go but it's so cool to see these. At first it just seems like "oo trippy weird interactive thing" but it goes so much deeper. There's a story and a reason behind it. It's wild
It's so simple but even the people working at the attraction act like they're working in the story it's based off of

"you have no idea what's in store for you!"

The rest of my crew wandered around, grew tired, and left after an hour. I stayed and completed many of the tasks and saw most of the rooms before they closed for the night. I will definitely be going back this summer to complete the tasks and finish my exploration! 😎

Obviously we have been planning that when we do come we visit tourist attractions all throughout Las Vegas and spend a lot of time together as a family. The only reason why I haven’t traveled to Nevada right now is because of college, finances, and obviously the COVID-19 pandemic getting worse over here.
