Swahili and Xhosa are both Bantu languages. They both stem from a similar proto-Bantu dialect. Most Linguist trace Proto-Bantu to have been spoken in Cameroon.
I find luhya is close to isixhosa. You even call amathumbo, cows intestines, same though u don't put 'h'. Matumbo in swahili. Another word that amazed me is a leopard, ingwe, just like in xhosa.
Wabantu mmepatana 😁 inze ni murogori. IsiXhosa is very easy to learn for us. And our circumsicion cultures are very similar if you have ever looked at it closely. They are strikingly similar
In Luhya dialects in Western Kenya they say "abandu" which means people and "omundu" for a person.

"Abantu" means people and "omumtu" a person in Luganda language here in Uganda. Also "amazi" here means water.
