I heard someone say Swahili belongs to no one, it is predominantly from east Africa you could speak the language yes but don’t act like the culture doesn’t belong to anyone it is East African culture way before anything else!!!!
🤣🤣if these swahili native speakers are truly genuine then let Africa adopt 4 regional languages for east, west, south and north ... Where each region teaches all 4 regional dominant languages for example west African countries teach Arabic, Hausa, Zulu and swahili in schools, similarly in east africa... So that if a man from the east travels to West Africa he can speak the regional lingua and vice versa... I bet they won't agree to this... But yet the whole continent must implement costly programs to learn their language, very archaic mindset they have

I cannot speak Swahili while i have 6 languages to learn and since South Africa has agreed on Swahili, before they agreed we want Khoi San language official than we can start to negotiate about Swahili

OK, first of all, Kiswahili is NOT a "Bantu" language. There is no current or ancestral language in Africa called "Bantu" that you might say birthed the so-called "Bantu languages". Secondly, Swahili should not be forced on anyone in Africa (ya'll starting to push it way too hard). I am a Swahili speaker and I'd prefer it to be a language of the willing, not a language by law in various countries.
