  • In this video I show you how to tie the King's crown button knot. This knot is a variation of the lanyard knot that has a "crown" like look.
It is fun to tie, but it takes time to learn how to tighten it properly. Keep at it and you will do just fine!
A photo tutorial on the knot is available here:

You are a Knot GOD!!! I have only just found my new hobby a few weeks ago by accident (Randomly clicking YT videos over a cup of coffee to wake me up.) Ordered bulk Paracord & have been following your tutorials & really enjoying my new found hobby.
I like how you explain each step in such an easy to follow way.
Thank you & keep up the great work.

This is a dandy knot! Thanks so much. It looks good right side up or upside down on a necklace near the pendant. And the tightening is tricky!

Me gustan estos tipos de nudos Mark es para mí un desafió hacerlos y aprenderlos de memoria. Gracias amigo por compartir tus conocimientos.

Great! Thank you very much. Could you please show how to make "reverse crown" knot? So that wide part looks down, not up.

The bottom of my knot looks great but the top of my knot is not the same as yours. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Any feedback would be awesome. At the top of my knot I have a couple side-by-side strands like double strands and I don't see that in your knot.

beautiful knot, gonna try it tonight. is there any chance for your tutorial how to do this knot opposite way? I mean - loop under the crown, not on top.

Takes a few tries and in my opinion it looks better from front and back than from sides.

I really like this knot, but it looks a bit unbalanced. Is there a way to tie it so it has four “flutes” on the bottom, and eight “flutes” on the top? I think it would look more symmetrical. I love your work, I’ve been following you for years. Thanks.

    Hi Marc ..
    I have a request :
What about a PARACORD DISHES SPONGE ??!!??
I was just seeking for a paracord lanyard.
I discover your great channel with very easy explanations..
Now I have so many other projects by seeing your videos !
One of them is a kitchen sponge (or else purposes) !!!
Ecolonomic-thinking so I wish a durable, cleanable, recyclable, etc ..
Could you make a tutorial for this ??
    Many thanks (from Belgium)
    Have a nice day,
    -Gk.

Is it possible to use this as a finishing knot at the end of a project or would it use up too much cordage. It looks very beautiful.
