It's tragically beautiful the very acceptance of the loss of oneself is nothing short of true strength to know that even if you survive physically your mind shall not exist in the same way visaro has demonstrated great strength and shown that though he is now Poorer intellectually he is morally richer for the experience he has shared with red hood and Artemis.

Why would Artemis want Bizarro to stop taking the kryptonite? Because it's "not natural"? It didn't seem to have any negative side effects other than making him so smart he'd lose some empathy. But that could be tempered. But so what if he inhales kyrptonite everyday? It's like saying we're "addicted" to food!
Brendan Wipf I think it's because it's supposed to be a Fool's errand addiction. Because the degradation of his intelligence is still happening and just being artificially slow by the Kryptonite and the fact to maintain his intelligence he's going to need more & more as time goes by.
DC is too committed to their own status quo. They could've made him smart, and let him continue to be that character until a new writer took over, but instead they used his intelligence as a major plot point (plots need to be finished) and hinted from day 1 that he was going to lose it all. I know they're doing a lot of cool new things with rebirth, but honestly they're still kind of cowards when it comes to change
trevon hood what you call the status quo is actual decent writing and basic as well. The reason why it was hinted that he will lose his super intelligence is because if they didn't he would be a marble gray Gary Sue.
Doctor Odin if they hadn't made his intelligence a focal point with literally zero limits (lex is pretty smart, but you don't see him constructing floating cities) they could've kept it. You only see it as good writing because they began this event with the intention of returning to the status quo, but they didn't have to go about it that way at all. They intentionally wrote themselves into a corner where this was the only option.

But I and alot of other people prefer dumb Bizarro, it's better to just stick with what people prefer. Look at the state Marvel is in after replacing alot of their heroes and changing characters (they turned Blade into a damn DELIVERY GUY...) Also, didn't DC kill off Barry Allen & have Wally West be the Flash for 20 YEARS? Some people read/watched the Flash not even knowing who Barry Allen is...
