This is one of the best anime I watched, Asagiri did really well in constructing each character The anime/manga is not only focus on the main character but to many other characters as well, you'll see so many sides of the story that you can grasp the whole situation Even better is that the characters are based on real life people and they managed to almost capture the personality of the real life counterpart, their abilities being their most famous books was such a good add-ons as well Once you read their actual book, then you'll watch the anime or read the manga, your view on the character would change. I read "No Longer Human" right after I finished watching S1 of BSD and whenever I see Dazai it feels like I know exactly what he's thinking though you can never know what's on his mind, since that man is always 10 steps ahead The characters also have very interesting ideals and characteristics which just make the show sooo much better
