Make sure to check the description for links to sheets docs that have the standard times on them so that you can more easily keep track of which ones you need to improve on the most!
I think I noticed a mistake in the spreadsheet (and by extension, the CSV): Both of the first two tracks (Mario Kart Stadium and Water Park) have a contradictory time compared to those in the video. It seems like a mistake because, when I checked some of the following ones, those ones matched up exactly with the video. Either way, I look forward to using this video (and other ones that are coming up, if I understand the intro correctly) for practice!
@@unsightedmetal6857 Sorry never saw this (better to leave a comment than a reply). In general the times should be the same. If they're not there's either a mistake in the caption at the top (my bad) or there should be a note in the google doc that explains the discrepancy
This is a great resource for anyone who wants to beat the staff ghosts! Also, you are bayesed (get it) for using the mario kart lick version of dolphin shoals. I have no idea why it's not used in-game.
Hyrule Circuit 150cc Bayesic Time: 1:59.1 My Time: 1:58.748 Lap 1: 0:39.795 Lap 2: 0:39.551 Lap 3: 0:39.402 I only took the shroomless cut once and did not vector on the gilder on all three laps. I did implement a SMT on the beginning turns on all three laps instead of a basic MT.
I hope the counterhops were kept to a minimum... I kind of went on autopilot on a few of the courses lol. And I think I sort of delay drift just out of habit at this point so when I make my 200cc video I will definitely point that out. Also thank you for the super thanks!
1) He doesn’t have them for every track 2) His expert staff ghosts are much harder to beat than mine. These runs are more designed to get you up to speed for worldwide races. His are more at the level of preparing for lounge
Just finished being consistent at MKS (pb with these lines 1:47.8, can get 1:49.0 or better consistently). WP is tough though, my PB with these lines are 1:49.6 and I don't know how I'm going to shave off 1.7 seconds with these lines haha 🤣
I’d love it if you did videos that coached me in REAL TIME while time trialing. Like you were guiding me line by line and curve by curve. I’d hit play on the video and start my run. No pauses for explanations. Just start to finish coaching through the track. I try to practice while watching, it’s tough for me.
This is kind of designed to be that; it's really hard to coach in real time because the vast majority of my commentary would be "drift here then drift here, then trick" etc These runs are kind of supposed to be in the vein of "If you know what soft drifting is, and you watch the intro, no other explanation should be required, just copy the lines and GG"
do you know where I can find more advanced staff ghosts to beat? These runs are efficient but just a little too simple and I wanna challenge myself more!
So these times are designed to be like trying to maximize your efficiency on each track without resorting to any advanced strats. If you're able to beat most / all of these shroomless without many issues, then I think you're probably ready to start looking at the shroomless TT leaderboards and actual top level speedruns The shroomless 150 leaderboards are here docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vRBXBdqpurvBmR--bzj9RJmgr7HxAoWVZmlwmhaBK-LYf_BbXn8iAPdH-ogBtXiAwxlTkQgn45PkeRW/pubhtml?gid=406946200&single=true
You seem to talk about your viewers helping you out with the YT algorithm but this video is almost 4 hours long which means most people, because they just don't have the time, will just click off early meaning that your viewer duration is going to really annoy the algorithm. What do you have to say in reply to this??
This video isn’t meant to be watched in its entirety tbh and I’d be surprised if many people watched it early on. It’s more of an evergreen video where I am expecting a slow trickle of views over long period of time
It doesn't say it in the video but the spreadsheet says 1:45.9 for MKS which is probably unrealistic with these lines. Given that Bayesic starts with 5 coins, probably the goal time should be closer to 1:50.2 assuming these lines.
Make sure to check the description for links to sheets docs that have the standard times on them so that you can more easily keep track of which ones you need to improve on the most!
Is it possible to send you a friend request somehow, so to directly play against your ghost?
@@svenwolters9441These weren't in Time Trials anyway
I know, but the title reminded me that it would be cool to have the ghosts from the bayesic training Videos...

Oh wow - I was going to jump on during my lunch hour and watch this real quick lol. Guess I'll save it until after work and treat it like movie night.
Apart from being a great resource, it’s awesome hearing just the music cranking for each track. How good would some in game audio options be?
This video must have taken so much time to make. Thank you so much Bayesic! You're such a valuable resource for getting better at this game

A 200cc version of this would be AMAZING
It's already in the works :-)
omg this looks amazing (only just started the video but your content is always amazing!) so thank you for this!
Finally
Expert Staff Ghosts
it only took 10 years
This is so helpful! Thanks!
You are doing gods work my man! I have gone from bronze 1 to gold 1 this season in lounge in a short month and a half thanks to your vids!
great video! thanks for all your hard work! this is very helpful!
Thank you! Looks you are also using delayed soft drifts and some counter hopes for advanced strats.

I know I should counterhop more but it is nice not to see your ghost hopping every two seconds for a change
Gyrodos already did expert staff ghosts?

I wish dude

I think I’d pay for your personal coaching services. I’m obsessed. Just got my gold tires!
Now I need total completion.

good but can you make one for more advanced players if you even have the time lol
To be honest, the vast majority of my shroomless PBs are just worsely driven versions of what you could find on the shroomless leaderboards

How do you get that timer set up?
It's called livesplit. It's kinda hard to explain in a comment but there are a bunch of tutorials on youtube that should help get you started
Why do you start with 5 coins?
This was done in VS race mode where for your first race you start with 5 coins
