This is structured to force drivers to take bad orders without actually forcing them to
It is VERY difficult to make money when you are locking out drivers who don’t want to take part in this
Not having a cap on drivers and having programs like this is going to make it harder for drivers to make any sort of money
Go back as little as 2 years ago and it was ALOT easier to make money as a driver but now it’s nearly impossible for most drivers to do so

Something to note, the critera is different per market. Over in Southern California silver is 60 AR while gold&plat is 80. Plat needs 150 in the last 30 days, and the completion rate and customer rating are also stricter across the board. Plat and Gold want 97% completion and 4.8 customer rating, while silver wants 95% and 4.7. I strongly suspect that they are going more aggressive in areas with too many dashers (or too many top dashers?)
Also, the dash now is worded far differently. Platnium says you're the "first in line" to start dashing as opposed to gurenteed anytime.

  • @keegsgokrazy

Guys today is august 23, 2024 & right now as a platinum dasher I haven't been able to schedule because whenever I do now, i'd click save dash & then it'll say "this timeslot is no longer available, pick a different time." I then called the VIP support and I couldn't get help. has any of you guys that are platinum dasher are having these issues right now??
i live in the fresno area & they also moved the 70% ar back to 80%

I had a 68% acceptance rate when they started this program. I didn't make any money, so i ended my dash. Ended up spending 6 hours getting 2 deliveries to get platinum because I couldn't get anything more than 1/2 hour shift. i don't know if it's just my area, but they pretty much shut me out without platinum.

Problem is my area is the size of Russia and China combined! I constantly have to pause my dash after every delivery to minimize the amount of offers going to the moon. Keeping my acceptance rate at 70% every day will not work for me.

My conclusion- if you're willing to do shop and pay you still get priority high orders despite low AR (Los Angeles). Also they stopped hiding the tips for me🤷🏽‍♀

Uber tried to bait us into their tier incentive scheme.. I just stopped doing Uber and Uber Eats in December.
Dash Now isnt always available even if you are Platinum. Honestly, I could migrate between zones in my county and still make money at 80% A/R, 1 dollar plus per mile for 4 hrs a day as a Top Dasher.
If DD aint busy, I dont mind only working (active) for 12 hrs a week. I aint the type to be logged in to jump on any ol' order. My car just isnt avail. to DD or any hustle for less than 23. per hr.

They are moving toward a full on hourly rate for everybody. markets that have customers who regularly tip over 3 dollars per order on majority, hourly rate will be lower. those markets will have better time with per order. if you are in a market that tips under that per order on average, your "hourly rate" will be higher. keep that in mind for your markets hourly rate to judge what you need to do.

It' all BS, I and many of my friends have tried ordering from them and the orders go hell knows where. They don't give a refund and expect to do business that way. The Idea is half baked and we all closed our accounts. Many urban cities have robots running around delivering hot food and they actually let you know when they get to your house and hand you the food. Let's see who wins this round.

If DD continues like this, they will be in the same boat as GH in my area. GH was 35% of the business 2 yrs ago. Today, they are about 5%. They have no drivers because they dont make money. Been doing this for a year or more in my area, combined with stacked orders that have one base pay of $2 and oversaturation of drivers. They also have this thing now where they rate your driving after every shift , telling you if you stopped/started to quickly etc. /sarcasm Good thing I am my own boss. Notice they roll these changes out slowly to different areas at a time so we are not all upset in unison and less likley to revolt. The whole high pay thing is a scam because whats high pay for me might not be for you because we are different distances away. $4 becomes a high pay order once you drive within 2 miles of a restaurant, and they will wait until you do.
