I'm adding my appreciation for Josh's painting of Mary, what a sweet, beautiful tribute to an amazing woman. Thanks to Alex and the whole team for giving Mary to the world!
Josh! That portrait and the special features of it are amazing. Thanks to Heather for the Potter's House sign, too. So cool that Austin came and brought his brother. This is a bittersweet episode. I do wish I could buy this property. Now to find a tissue to dry my eyes. Watching this was quite emotional for me.
I have been watching the Potter's House series since day one. Amazing how one click of a mouse can lead down a path where you, as the observer, start to welcome certain individuals into your life that you most likely will never meet face to face. Suddenly then they become part of your circle of acquaintances. The Archbold family, Josh and Jakota, Austin and all of the others who kept making repeat appearances in the series are all a part of my circle now. Thought we may never meet, you all have enriched my life a little bit, each and every one of you. Thank you.
quietone748 Have to agree with you. 1 simple click of a mouse and I was transported into sharing your journey of restoring the Potters House. I am sad it’s over now. But you did a great job and you had so much energy! Would like to know how you squared out after all the accounts are tallied up. Good luck for your future
I second your words. I have enjoyed these videos and the work done by Josh and Jakota.....They are artists......turn something ugly into those gorgeous pieces.
I agree whole heartedly. never saw this channel before and somehow it showed up in my feed so I clicked it and what a journey I have taken along with everyone else. u are so right how all the ppl in the video became like family even though we had never met. sad it is over but what a fantastic job they all did on restoring this mess to a gorgeous home. wishing them all the best of luck.
It's so appropriate that you took an abandoned house in the dead of winter and turned it into a place for new life in the spring. Keep making things better wherever you go!
Did anybody else get teary-eyed at the end of today's video. This has been a very interesting and long journey and I appreciate Alex and his family inviting us to come along. Love the painting too Josh.
I did but I wasn't going to say anything lol. Its not everyday you find this quality of entertainment. Glad so many Are enjoying these videos, I even allow the adds to run their course to help support Alex and his work
Josh, your talents are varied & wonderful. Your artwork of Mary reminded me,tho I like yours much better as you see the love in it, of Andy Warhol. Your painting is so warm & vibrant, much like Mary's inspiration in her work. I am so glad it's not being left in the house as I don't believe it would be as loved as it will be with Alex & Melissa. Could you, again,if Alex doesn't mind, give your RUclips & other web site names. Thanks...a fan from California. Plus a HUGE fan of Curiosity Inc. It's been an enjoyable journey following the Inc's adventures!
I literally broke out in tears seeing Josh's painting! OMG! He is so good!! All of the details including the smudging in the background simulating her pottery porcess. I have been watching Josh's videos of tiling his bathroom and he said he had a secret project. WOW! Bravo, Josh; it's amazing!!!
I LOVE the painting Josh did!! So personal!!! I can't believe how attached I feel to that house!! It's emotional. You all did an amazing job on it. Thank you!
Lori Kendrick, I also feel attached to the house, there’s tears in my eyes. I have an attachment to the house and all those that worked on it. Best of luck to everyone.
Wow a million times. Josh did a fantasy job on the painting. Love Heather's sign. Very loving touch. It is kind of sad to see it end but it was worth every watching hour seeing history being restore. Thank you so much Alex for taking us all on a journey of a bit history.
You know, I'm sitting here watching this, and I feel like I'm watching a family reunion. The entire Archbold family, Josh, Jakota, Austin... it's like the family has gotten together again. Seeing this makes me feel really connected to everyone, you know? I didn't realize that I would get as attached as I have.
Me too, and I REALLY hope you will all continue to work on future projects together, because a team this good can make miracles happen. A beautifully completed project, and I hope both that it sells quickly and that whomever buys it cherishes it.
This has been an incredible series! I just saw a friend post about it and couldn't stop binge watching over three nights. What an incredible, respectful, and compassionate take on such a project Alex. You also had wonderful people helping. I'm glad I've gotten to "know" Mary through this, what beautiful art she made, and so thankful to see your visit with her. It's sad that she was so close to seeing what you accomplished and how you cared for her home and her things. Well done.
@@CuriosityIncorporated Then the tragedy and disrespect from those tenants. Unbelievable. Right after I posted I saw the two years later and was shocked. You did another incredible job. I like the final look, although I really liked the retro look you first took on to honour Mary. Off to check more of your videos now ... a new fan.
How beautiful to have joy and laughter in Mary's house again. A resounding quiet is no more. Bless you for honoring this special lady in every way possible.
What an amazing adventure and an incredible tribute to Mary! Thank you, Alex and family, for taking us along! Special thank you to Heather for the Potter's House sign and, to Josh, for the amazing painting of Mary, that brought tears to my eyes, what an incredible tribute to the artist, from an artist!
I know this is old now but I felt as if I were there, learning a little about Mary's life and art, and getting to know all of you. Thank you very much for sharing this.
Lovely, all looks great. Josh's painting is beautiful and looks great on the kitchen wall and the fruit looks even nicer on the wall they were moved to. The Potter's house sign looks perfect well done Heather. Also good job on the bird house. New life is back with the green bursting through. So enjoyable. Hope it sells soon. Looking forward to the general store 👍
Love Josh's painting! All the love and thought that went into making that, using her powder pigments for that mask is so great! Way to go Josh!!! Love it :)
Hands down - best RUclips series done by a RUclipsr that I've ever watched, and I'm honored to have witnessed this. It's been a journey, and thank you Alex taking us along. Loved the painting Josh. 😊
Austin is so cute in his behaviors. He's so quiet and barely cracks a smile over anything. So literal. He and Caldwell are very opposite, like my two boys. A pleasure to see them both.
Yay! Josh and Jakota!! You have to include those guys in new shows! They are great guys!! The complement you!! The painting of Mary made me cry. It's been a long day.
It has been difficult to to find the words to express how grateful I am for what you have done. I'll be 73 next month, and I'm sometimes quite cynical, especially about the younger generations. But, as I followed you on this house, you have renewed my faith that the world will continue to get better because you showed me young people with special gifts and talents, who are humble and kind, and are driven to be productive. Additionally, you and everyone you worked with, made efforts to reuse, recycle, and prevented tons of items, some extremely valuable, from being treated like garbage. As the music at the end was playing, I felt my soul relax, knowing that this special part of history, which could have been razed, has instead been preserved. Those who make a difference in the world only do so if they, their talents, and hard work, aren't forgotten. Thanks to you, Mary and many others, will be long remembered.
Who would have thought a request of " would you like to look at some stuff " would lead you on a fantastic journey to discover a Canadian treasure and Artist Mary Borgstrom. Alex / Melissa you and all that have worked on the house, have done yourselfs, the house, Mary`s family and the memory of Mary Borgstrom great credit. All the best from the UK cheers Ken.
This was really emotional, I'm sure. I got teary, due to the fact that I followed every step of the way. Wishing your lovely wife a very Happy Mother's Day from the US.
Absolutely love the painting! You should all be so proud of not just your hard work, but for honoring Mary’s life and legacy. It started out as a hoarder situation and you turned it into a respectful and lovely search and rescue operation! Bravo!❤️
This series touched many hearts and we were all inspired in various ways, from Mary herself and how she was revealed by you in this series, to DIY tips and the people who joined you in that journey. It is an ugly duckling to swan story of a different kind. Who would have thought the "Hoarder's House" would end up the beautiful "Potter's House", with so many hidden gems inside? I am glad I got to purchase just a itsy, bitsy gem from there. And yes, Josh's picture is a wonderful tribute. I am glad you introduced us to his channel. I just bought a partly renovated summer cottage so now it is my turn to start 're-purposing' and learning DIY from scratch. :-) This series has inspired me.
That painting is beautiful you do wonderful work👍 Mary would have been so proud she's probably watching over y'all saying great job guys✌👍☺😇 I'm also saying great job guys👍 somebody's going to Love having that home! And also in remembrance of Mary and her accomplishments
I scanned over the comments, and it seems a bit redundant to say, but Josh’s painting of Mary stopped my heart! ......the picture of a world class artist done by another world class artist.
This is A bittersweet goodbye to a wonderful series. You ALL did Mary VERY proud. I love all the touches and That painting is Beautiful Josh. Looking forward to the next wild adventure. Stay safe and many Blessing to you and your lovely family 💗(◠‿◠)💗
She would be so honored of what you all did. God bless you and your family and all that were involved in restoring her home and preserving all the gems she had for the world to enjoy.
I didn't renew Prime due to the 20% increase. First RUclips I watched(ever) & subbed was Curiosity Inc. Before the Potters series I got to explore different avenues with Alex. I started telling everyone, this man is charming and so is his family. The respect you showed for the hoarding situation was very professional. Thank you for honoring Mary's last request. A shout out to all the craftsman who helped on this restoration. Am looking forward to the next adventure.
Heather's sign, Josh's painting, Family, Extended family, Workers now friends, Townsfolk, Visitors and Mary's home. 😁 Another touching and emotional video Alex, so well edited.
@@Tim-57 , that's OK. Rambler here, come by it honestly, it's a genetic thing, lol. A family of storytellers. I get cussed at a lot on social media and told " you must have no life to take the time to comment so much!". ..these comments always amuse me as I scratch my head and think, gosh, you spent the time reading my "long" comment AND even took the time to reply, seems like maybe they have some time on their hands too , ha ha. In this instance you have summed up very well how many of us I think are feeling. I could write an entire novel on this series...perhaps someone should. It's an amazing story and Alex has told it so well in one medium, through video, I bet it would be beautiful to read it as another medium of telling this incredible story.
@@makeuplover6852 Very kind of you. It is very tough to comment on utube, if you do not expand enough someone is bound to say; "what do you mean?" or take it out of context. In my opinion, this story unintentionally turned into a very humanized story. Alex and Crew did it very tastefully and touched a lot of us. 🙂
Makeuplover 68 Tim 57 Rambler here as well!!! Lol!! Makeover, I get the same thing! One guy actually argued with me the other day he wasn't going to respond to my comment why should he since my first three words told him I didn't think...when what I had said was "I don't think they meant it that way"...or something like that! Lol! And even more funny to me was it was only maybe about four lines!! Hahaha!! I put him in his place for being nasty without being nasty myself then he got even more nasty and called me Pavlov's dog and said not to bark bark again! So I then proceeded to lay it all out for him in his mistakes and assumptions and how much of a man they hadn't made of him and if I were him, but thanksfully I wasn't I would be ashamed of myself for treating another person who had done nothing wrong just made a comment he apparently took offense to. He did not respond again! Thank the LORD!! He was hurtful for no reason oh yeah and he tried to play it off as he was just joking words could be funny that way! Before my last comment. I just don't get why...I guess because I wouldn't do something like he was doing unless deliberately provoked! My original comment wasn't in response to him saying anything or the like...go figure! Told you I was a rambler...lmbo!!!!!!! 😁
Josh your painting literally brought tears to my eyes. Absolutely beautiful! Please reconsider prints. We all want to keep a little piece of the Potter series for years to come, especially those that didn't have a winning bid at the auction. Alex and family thank you for sharing this journey with us. Can't wait to join you in your next adventure. Wonderful job with the house. I'm sure Mary would have loved it!
Karebear Vlogs There is going to be another auction for other items he has uncovered. Quite a few I think. Perhaps we both could win the bid for something then.😃
This has been such an amazing journey and I’m so thankful I found you! Alex, you should be so proud of what you’ve accomplished. You’ve brought this amazing house back to life and brought attention back to an incredible woman. The characters (workers) along the journey have been so entertaining and all seem to be wonderful people as well. Bless you all! ❤️
Alex, it's beautiful, you did some wonderful work. And Josh, the painting is great you captured Mary's essence in that piece and it looks great on the kitchen wall. All you guys did a great thing with that house and her legacy. Bless your hearts!
I'm surprised how emotionally invested I've become! Thank you, thank you for all the hard work you and your family and the craftsmen (and women) did to restore and keep Marys memory and talent alive!
Josh, the painting is wonderful. Art is being able to draw a likeness it is being able to show the heart and soul of the sitter that shows you are an artist.✌
It's kind of sad to see it end... but I'm sure it's a relief to you - you put so much time, effort and money into the house! It's beautiful. And what a great painting from Josh, I loved it. So nice to see him & Jakota again, what good young men they are.
I would love to see a video when the sign is put up on the house and a final walk through, top to bottom, and with the yard in it’s spring bloom. It would be wonderful and a nice ending to the series. Plus, since you are going to be there anyway...see if the museum has Mary’s corner ready and add that also.
I love Josh's painting, it's perfect for the house. I am so sorry to see these episodes end though, how sad. I also can't wait for the next renovations to start on an old general store though, happy travels...
What a bittersweet feeling, who knew so many people could come together over a house that we will never step foot in. Thank you for giving us a little escape and an opportunity to learn about Mary and who she was and what she accomplished. I'm not crying... you're crying!!!!
BRAVO!!! BRAVISSIMO!!! This magnificent series is worthy of an "EMMY AWARD", it defines the loving spirit of humanity in many ways. MARY will always be remembered because of YOU Alexander and she's a guardian angel for you. In addition, because of YOU and the arduous process of renovation, every house in the neighborhood particularly the one right next to the property, has enjoyed free of charge a considerable increase in their property's value. You don't owe 1CENT, to that guy who put up that fence, he should send you a THANK YOU note. Jus sayin... Josh's painting is "Picasso Approved", BRAVO!!!
This was so uplifting, seeing how this woman's life could end up with her house being rescued and her art shared with others, but the best part for me was seeing Josh's art. It was marvelous! What a talent!
Really rather sad this journey is over - it’s been amazing! Love Josh’s painting and the lovely sign - you’ve all done an amazing job Alex. Looking forward to your next adventure 😊
I’ve watched this incredible journey from beginning to end. Laughed, cried, & learned a lot. Met your sweet family, & each wonderful person who had a hand in all of this. *HUGE APPLAUSE* to all, but especially you Alex. Hope you take time for a deep breath, & a little vacation with your precious wife. Lake Louise maybe, or just visit Banff National Park. I’m from California but travelled across Canada 🇨🇦 many years ago. Would love to do it again! Bless you all, & the painting is FABULOUS. Love to you all ☺️💕
Thank you so very much :-) it was an incredible journey I’m glad it’s nearing its end I do definitely need a vacation I am worn right out! But I’ll be back at bigger and different adventures very soon
I’m so glad to hear it, & I’m sure all who watched with me will agree. Set yourself free from Social Media for a bit. We’ll miss you, but will be happy for you!!! If I sound like a mom, it’s because I am. What you did was EPIC, memorable, done with your whole loving heart. Give yourself a rest now, without guilt. Mary would want you too! 🌲🇨🇦🤗
I loved Heather's sign and the red fence as a welcome. Josh's painting was great and a stroke of genius adding incorporating Mary's pigments. Just FYI, don't hang it in a kitchen. You'll damage the painting. Kudos to everyone involved. It truly was an exciting adventure!
what an awesome day !!! josh's painting was a bonus and such a fitting tribute to you all's work and dedication to Mary's life and legacy! BE PROUD !! youve done Mary good !!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the posts it was an exciting ride!!! was always eager to see the next installment !! Much Love from Las Vegas!!! cant wait for the General Store series !!!!!!!!!
Love Heather’s Sign and Sweet portrait by Josh. My family had a panel van like that. Love the bird house and nest. We are very happy for your family that you can move on and for the family that eventually moves in.

Another touching and emotional video Alex, so well edited.
Tim 57 You seem to get the point across with such few words. I started crying and rambling but I totally agree with you.

I thank you.
Usually I ramble very much.
🙂

Very kind of you.
It is very tough to comment on utube, if you do not expand enough someone is bound to say; "what do you mean?" or take it out of context.
In my opinion, this story unintentionally turned into a very humanized story. Alex and Crew did it very tastefully and touched a lot of us. 🙂

Rambler here as well!!!
Wow, Josh that painting is just perfect, how you did it with her pigments and everything about it.
Perhaps we both could win the bid for something then.😃
Watching from Australia in January 2021 🇦🇺 sending blessings to you all 💕🙏🏼
Josh is so talented!!! The painting is absolutely gorgeous!!! What a gifted artist!!! Mary would be honored.
You guys are so adorable. It's great how you've adopted Josh and Jakota. When you said "it's just extended family here now" and then moved to them. =D
Didn't he nicked named them the plaid brothers or was that someone else?
Fabulous job Alex. You have much to be proud of. What a wonderful tribute to Mary.
Josh's painting is stunning. It exudes spirit...
Josh, that painting is wonderful! You really captured Mary's essence.
Love the Potter's House sign, and love the painting of Mary both so perfect!
Alex, it's beautiful, you did some wonderful work. And Josh, the painting is great you captured Mary's essence in that piece and it looks great on the kitchen wall. All you guys did a great thing with that house and her legacy. Bless your hearts!
House looks fantastic but the painting is absolutely brilliant 💕
Thanks painting is Fabulous! I believe, Mary would have been ecstatic!!! I have absolutely loved every minute of these videos!!! Thanks million!
Brilliant painting by Josh and I pray you get a buyer for the house you took us on a great journey with Mary's house 👍👍👍
I'm surprised how emotionally invested I've become! Thank you, thank you for all the hard work you and your family and the craftsmen (and women) did to restore and keep Marys memory and talent alive!
Heather, you did an AWESOME job on the sign. Love how it LOOKS like it belongs with the house.
Exactly! I LOVE that sign with that house! She did an incredible job!
The picture of Mary does too :) both beautiful
Josh, the painting is wonderful. Art is being able to draw a likeness it is being able to show the heart and soul of the sitter that shows you are an artist.✌
Josh’s painting made me tear up. Stunning and so thoughtful. ❤️
Your sister's Potter's House sign looks perfect!
You all did such a great job. I'm sure Mary is looking down on you smiling. Thanks for letting us be a part of the journey.
Wow !!!!
That railing on the stairs going upstairs is incredible !!!!
Its a beautiful house now !!!!!
Wow !!!!
Great video. Canada should use his painting as a postage stamp, and the sign was wonderful too.
Fantastic idea! Put this message on Josh's channel so he can see the idea. All the best from Cyprus.
I love how you say "my sister" with so much pride
I agree. The neighbors have to be elated that this home has been restored...Indeed boosting property values for the neighborhood.
Thanks for your love and care for Mary's house.
Josh you outdid yourself on the Mary painting!
It was lovely of Josh to create the wonderful painting if Mary. Simply lovely.
The whole thing is magnificent ❣❣❣❣The painting made me cry for some reason. Well done.
Also I ... 😢
awesome job mary would be so proud of all the job everyone has done
Hate to see it end. Thank you for sharing. I feel like I know the cast of characters that glorified Mary’s story. Well done all and bless each of you.
You had the vision and you accomplished it. Well done. 👏
I just LOVE all the layers of meaning that went into that painting! Nice work Josh!! And i love that Alex claimed it... lol
The house is now a home. I loved watching this journey. Love the painting Josh did.
Josh's painting made me cry! That's beautiful no matter how you look at it.
