Michael Gene Funny thing is that LeBron’s defence has always been this inconsistent. Fans proclaimed he could “defend five positions” yet he couldn’t even guard his OWN man. Even back in Miami Heat, his defence hasn’t been looking great. Two of his six all-nba first defensive team were gifted to him. In Final, there have been multiple players who legitimately has better game overall when played against LeBron. For example? Kawhi Leonard who is just beginning to be on an uprise, who won FMVP with the highest true shooting percentage. Can you imagine just how bad LeBron’s defence has to be? Kevin Durant lit his ass up in the finals back to back. Jason Terry, a role player but nonetheless great player has improved his statistical numbers in every category against LeBron in his position. Funny fact, in the six years of LeBron’s year as a member of the ALL-NBA first defensive team, the team he is on has never touched top 5 in defence, despite having all the all-stars by himself while Jordan has done it multiple occasions even back in his Wizard’s years, prior to his injury, has lead the Washington Wizard’s defensive efficiency as high as the fifth seed. Context? Wizard has one of the worst regular season prior to the addition of Michael Jordan in history.

He gave everything, every game because he always wanted to prove that he is the best and never ever short changed those who bought tickets to watch him. Same can be said of Kobe as well. Why L.A. needs to trade LeBron.
    1. Slow to defend.
    2. Not a closer.
    3. Cannot hit free throws in the 4th qtr.
    4. Does not listen to his coach.
    5. Calls out players for not playing defense.
The Lakers got suckered into thinking he would play defense like he did in 2015
when he blocked of Andre Iguodala. He was 29 but next year he will be 35.

He was better at perimeter defense too but not by much. LeBron was better at scoring everywhere BUT the freethrow line, rebounding, passing, and post defense/rim protection. Yeah, the "killer instinct shot first" Kobe was worse at scoring than LeBron.
