And language is a big barriers here and if you want to learn language here so the fee of one level is 800 to 1200 . 1200 lirq for good School fee and you cannot find easily odd jobs even without a language even not in hotels sector even if you are good English speaker and if you luckily you find a job in any restaurant or any place so 12 hour a day and 6 days a week . Turkey is just good for tourism no doubt not so much expensive as other EU countries if you wanna settle here so learn language and think 100 time then come here first otherwise you will have only regret

Okay guys. Here is Turkish speaking. I have to say this firstly turkey is in economic depression. If you have a good deal of money, a house,a bank account, if you dont have to work for living in Turkey. Its good. But you have intention to work, you will be dissapointed. It doesnt matter how you love turkish people, they will not welcomed you as you wish. Unemployment number roughly is 17 million. As a young generation me and my friends,my environment can not find a job and in this year its been impossible for us. 'ın this corona time, more than one million people lost their job and its counting. Turkey highly dependent on tourism sector. Thats the reason why they love foreigners as a tourist.As a cronic unemployment im looking for job opportunities in other countries, as well. If you have a question, you can ask.

Been living in Istanbul for past 3 years and came here from a job transfer. Unlikely for my wife her career is ruined as Turkey gives jobs to one of the spouses only.
Resident permit is easy, work permit is a hassle. Turkish are racist by nature and filled with pride.
Income taxes sum up to 28%
House rents up to 1500 to 2000 minimum.
Inflation is 15%
And for the cherry on the cake, Turkish lira fell by more than 50% in just 3 years, do the maths how purchase power fell for the common people!! Need an example??
If you had 100 k lira in your bank in 2017 by 2020 it comes 50 k lira. This is devaluation of local currency. Think well and practically before settling here in Istanbul but do come for a solid vacation.

You are 100% correct. My brother in law visited Turkey last year and told me that there are no reasonable jobs for outsiders. Moreover, it is compulsory to learn Turkish language to get even a low standard job.

Totally misleading information. I have been here for than 20 years. My wife is Turkish. It is very very difficult to get a work permit here. Almost impossible. Either you have do be a very qualified person with your qualifications approved by the local education department or be a key person for the business. Most companies dont bother applying for work permits for foreigners. People without work permits work at odd jobs for 400-500 dollars which is not enough for an expensive city like Istanbul. Lately I have seen so many Pakistanis and Indians coming to Turkey and getting disappointed.

Before you come, you must learn basic Turkish language for at least 3 months. For your first visit while you plan to come and obtain a red card, try not to bring your family along as it will be expensive, emotionally challenging, and will pose various concerns, especially if you have smaller children accompanying you. You should also know that a RED card in Istanbul is taking between 4-6 months and without a Red Card, one is completely handicapped as everything revolves around the card. Simply owning a property for 5 years and visiting turkey during that period will not guarantee a passport as many people are saying with confidence in their videos. Rather, you will become eligible to apply for one. Like most of the other countries, the Turkish government will consider your residential status, intention, contribution, ties etc., before they decide to give you a passport and make you a citizen. As such, it is the discretion of the government and not you right to get a Turkish Citizenship after 5 years.
On the costs, I am surprised! where do some vloggers get these apartments for 1500-2000 in nice localities/society apartments? how are you guys able to sustain on 1500 TL a month for expenses. Even in a places like Esenyurt (Innovia 1, Prestige park, Hep Istanbul and most of places in Akoza and Chemmuryat Mh, apartment prices for a non-furnished 2+1 and 3+1 are between 2500-4000 TL, unless you are living in the neighborhood slums. How come there is so much difference in the costs that I am incurring compared to yours. Given that we are a family of 4 and living a very average life with almost no tourist trips so far. Monthly grocery and other expenses including transport etc. are at least 3500-4500 a month. Lastly, there are very few chances to get a good apartment in a society without paying 2 deposits, 1 rent and 12% commission or one-month commission. In many cases, people are not giving apartments to foreigners without 6 months’ upfront payments. For monthly expenses, it purely varies from person to person and family to family. There are many of us that are spending 5000 TL for monthly food bills only while there are others that suggest 1500 a month for the same. Some people pay 50 TL Aydat/fee while there are others that pay 1600 a month in Aydaat. So there is no wrong or right information as different people have different situations and financial conditions. One last thing for people coming from Middle east, Europe etc, the education is super expensive unless you want to send your kids to Turkish Public Schools.

He mentioned the same that 1500-2000 liras for monthly rent and bills, 500 for groceries and 1000 more for miscellaneous expenses approximately 5000.

He is not giving exact information about expenses of home you can find unfurnished apartment in 1200 and furnished is more then 1500 in good area and expenses is more then 800 to 900 with you all utility bills I will not recommend you to come turkey to make your carrier because here is nothing no job and nowadays they make so hard rules for foreigner specially those want to open business here and specially in Istanbul they want so much bribery Everytime it's not that much easy how this guy's say in this video .
