Watched this in cinemas. Was very happy to see the Taiwanese flag in all its glory. Made the brilliant film even better still. Also did you see that the PLA diverted a military satellite to take photos of one of the sets as they made a mock up hyper sonic plane and the PLA clearly were worried.
Why would China worry about the United States? That cognitive dissonance on the part of the CCP is a bit of an indicator that they don't think of themselves as allies. And I don't know why? Considering that the United States has been China's greatest protector and benefactor. All China has to do is just honor their own agreements and follow international laws; but the CCP refuses to do so.
It's not the Taiwanese flag. It's the flag of the Republic of China, which has a history of over 100 years including US ties to the WW2 effort to defeat imperial Japan.
I'm still trying to figure out why the patch shows USS Galveston as the "aircraft Carrier" used in the tour? USS Galveston is/was a cruiser not an aircraft carrier. Perhaps USS Galveston actually did the cruise but why in hell would the patch be on a flier's jacket?
Absolutely true about not compromising for critics that don't really care about your product. Now if only Japan will wake up and reject the woke idiots that want to censor anime and manga...

Interesting thing about the Eastern Block countries during the Soviet Union era was that people wanting freedom would buy black market blue jeans. Blue jeans represented the USA and freedom. American movies was a big thing too. The fall of the Communists in Romania were the result of banned movies. An interesting movie about this is 'Chuck Norris Vs Communism'. One of the best documentary films I've ever seen.
that was back when there's no digital piracy. Now if Chinese people want to watch movies they just go online to watch it for free and because it is so convenient and costs them nothing plus the CCP has no desire to enforce rules against digital piracy for the benefit of the west the Chinese citizens don't feel they are being oppressed, instead it makes them very comfortable with their lifestyle as it is free and have no consequences.
It's alledged that Dallas, used to show the "immoral decadence" of the west, was partially responsible for the fall of the Communist Regime in Romania.
Fabulous Video, and yes Hollywood made a smart decision and that speaks volumes. I can not read the comments when I tap on it it says there was an error,so I tapped on the retry button and says there was an error. .Looking forward to the next one, will see you both on your other channels.
Only 34 foreign movies are launched in China, so the odds of any one movie making it to Chinese theaters, is low. Now since this will not be released in China, they will not see our new DarkStar aircraft. Oops, maybe I should not have said that here due to Chinese monitors watching this program. Really there is no DarkStar aircraft! Just forget that I said anything. It is not real.
It actually makes no sense that Maverick would have the big patch on his jacket. The jacket is ostensibly from his father, who was also a Naval Aviator/fighter pilot. The USS Galveston was a light-Cruiser, converted into a guided missile Cruiser, that no Naval Aviator would have ever served on.
‘The Black or White Enforcement Officer of the Underworld’ does not refer to a particular individual. It is an official position in the underworld. The Black Enforcement Officer of the Underworld monitors and records a person’s wrongdoings that are performed without the knowledge of others in the human realm. The White Enforcement Officer of the Underworld monitors and records a person’s wrongdoings that are known to others in the human realm. Once the Enforcement Officers consolidate their records, the good and bad deeds done by an individual will be verified. If you have done too many evil acts, you will be taken away by them.

Hahaha! They're afraid that Hollywood will invade them!! I think that they have been listening to their own propaganda too much!

I can confirm the Taiwanese flag and Japanese flag are in the new Top Gun movie that I saw.
I’m sure they didn’t change it in post production. The movie was shot with the real jacket and the simply did not apply the fake flags
Great point..thank you guys for pointing this out. You guys are great team

Biggest point - The market isn't worth pandering to them. End of story.
Don't censor movies, and they'll become as boring as North Korea by not showing them and not sharing culture.
Great! I am tired of watching movies that pander to China.

I was glad to see that the patches were historically correct in the movie confirming Taiwan is an independent nation, and Japan is fine.
