Tongan blood runs through many chiefly family here in Fiji. The "Tui Cakau" Chiefly Family of the province of CAKAUDROVE (The Northen High Chief Rt Golea, He Defeated Maafu in the Battle of the Cross,1860) has strong Tongan connection too since his first born was from a Tongan Princess and another son was married to LAU Province connecting back to Tonga. To this day many of Ratu Goleas Chiefly Descendants has the talent of playing guitars & singing & many have lovely voices.This is surely due to the past connection with the KINGDOM OF TONGA.
