Here's another video for my REAL BLUES series. One of the reasons I play so much down-home solo instrumental blues, is because I just want to listen to it... and there just isn't a whole lot of solo instrumental blues out there to listen to. I think there is a huge pressure to create bigger and bolder productions, but my soul always craves the simple moments of hearing someone alone with a guitar, just playing for the honest, simple pleasure of it. I decided to start a series called "Real Blues," which will be a collection of these moments. ...sort of like a conversation with a blues guitar.

I have the blues today. My neighbor's dog (which spent more time with me each day than them), was hit by a motorcycle this a.m. She was walking with me on my way to work when she couldn't resist chasing a motorcycle when a beer truck cruised the opposite direction. I had to carry her 1/2 kilometer to the neighbors' house. I have dreaded coming home, as usually we go for a long walk on the beach together after work. Instead I am drinking a beer in a blood stained t-shirt, listening to awesome blues and planning an altar for her grave. Thanks for the soundtrack.

So, I spent most of this vid trying to count the fingers on your left hand. An' nope, there were only 4, not 5 or 6 like I thought. So then, I went down to the creek, and fished out my guitar and climbed back up onto the bridge and hucked it off over the rail again. Rather listen to you.
