RESCUE THE BIRDS lovingly cares for some 60 Parrots who need new forever homes!
PLEASE VISIT THEIR WEBSITE:

for more information, to meet their birds and, if you can, to ADOPT A BIRD and MAKE A DONATION!
Like so many other Parrot Rescues, THEY HAD TO BUILD AN ADDITION in 2008 to accommodate their ever increasing population of unwanted Parrots and still need FUNDS TO COVER those EXPENSES!
To find out WHY so many Parrots (especially Cockatoos) wind up in Rescues, visit: www.mytoos.com/ AND

And please remember...'DON'T BUY, DON'T BREED: A-D-O-P-T A PARROT IN NEED!'
Thank you so much for watching and helping!
A saw a blue and gold in a small pet store, I started visiting everyday. One day the owner smacked her. I told my husband, we said we wanted the bird. They had the nerve to charge $900.00 for her. Her cage was so small she couldn’t stretch her wings. We borrowed and got her., she was so happy to get love. It’s 20 years later and we are getting old. She seems young and vibrant. These birds need so much attention, like any child.
i own three cockatoos and they are all adopted
I have 12 parrots 8 cockatoos they are awesome
Cockatoosmom cockatoos are parrots...
Thank you for posting this! Too many birds are bought on a whim at pet shops or breeders...and wind up re-homed over and over. Birds are amazing companions, but they are work...and if you are not up to the task....take a pass.
P.S. I love my 2 'toos and my African Grey..they will be with me til I die!!
He was trying to say “yeah these animals need more attention than any other and aren’t an ideal family pet” and the lady’s just like, “my cocktail used to nibble on my teeth. They’re the best pet” lmao
I have never heard of anything like this in the U.K. Amazing. Perhaps we don't keep parrots to an extent, but I know they can outlive a person. Anyway, well done!
Ditto MissPickletoes! I am with her 100%! Thanks for posting this video. I wish 1000's more people would post videos about RESCUING, DON'T BREED OR BUY! We must work together to get laws passed to protect our birds.
Blessings,
Linda Kershaw (Geronimo's bird mommy)
There are too many bird stores and bird breeders selling birds left and right and they don’t bother to tell the customer the truth about owning a bird .. so most of these birds end up being neglected or turned loose ...
Y E S ! ! ! :(
We have a
For the record, many birds need long term homes. They can bite, they are extremely messy, they can be ill behaved if not socialized properly.. and they are noisy! Few species are good for apartments or homes where noise is not tolerated. Kids generally but not always exasperate these traits in parrots. I don't think that interviewer should have had the Macaw on her shoulder - she clearly was not comfortable with it and that is how bad bites can happen.
I'm with Miss Pickletoes ALL THE WAY!
I’ve tried to adopt a senior amazon but there are none in my area -Alabama , so I miss out and I would be a great owner because I have great experience with birds of all sizes

But you guys are also lucky... You have wild cockatoos everywhere...😍
Tronix212 I thought you can adopt cockatoos from a pet store in Australia can’t bring in one as a pet
God Bless
Cockatiels are tricky, certainly would NOT recommend as a first bird. Budgies are much easier, you need two as they are sociable birds.
As beginners I think Canaria might be more chances to belong famelies
