@@Parapsyche You forgot Eggman calling Sonic a rat in 06. He was manipulated by a super-dimensional being that intended to erase him and everything else in existence. And then after Sonic and Elise eliminated Solaris, Eggman lost much of his mettle and malevolence-he became a ghost of his former self.
Gotta love how while Mario finds it a great struggle, Sonic just is chill about the adventure!
Which is weird when somewhere years back. Someone figured out that Mario is A: Faster than Sonic. B: Far more capable. And I mean the video game Sonic. The comicbook version is far superior in every which way.

You know, I once said this in someone else's video but I'll say it here. Bowser and Eggman should have been rivals to different people. Bowser vs Sonic would have been so much more fun. Bowser being a powerhouse that Sonic can't beat with speed alone, and sometimes forcing Sonic to have to think more smartly would have been awesome. And then Eggman vs Mario would have been good too, since it would have made sense for Mario to have to get powerups to take on the robots Eggman has since he's a normal human. It would be fun to see Sega and Nintendo do something akin to Crash Purple and Spyro Orange, but on a new generation console with a better story that could put Sonic against Bowser as a main enemy, and Mario against Eggman as a main enemy.

Curiosity: In Brazil (where I live), in the 90's, there was a report (with people who didn't know anything about games) talking bad about video games and in this report they called Sonic the blue cat. And they also say that Mario is a firefighter who always gets in a bad mood and steps on people's heads.

Depends on what Sonic we are talking about because in later games he does swim an everything. The only reason why he couldn't in older games is because the creators didn't know if a hedgehog could even swim or not so it was something that was able to stop him.

If Sonic were as fast as Sega wants us to think, he'd be from 1-2 to the Warp Zone in half a second and from the warp zone to defeating Bowser in World 8 in the other half.
This animation lines up better with how fast Sonic _actually_ is.
Just because he can move fast doesn't mean his reactions are fast. Ever run into a spike wall at the speed of sound?
