just beautiful, it could have been sang because there are so many americans with germans descent in the north, keep going, congrats from Elsass
German Descent is all over america. German was close to being the primary language of america back in the day.
@@knightspearhead5718 yes but it's a song of the north
@@joachimknecht1762depends on who you ask. This version is definately yankee, though
@@knightspearhead5718No, it wasn’t. That’s a myth and has been disproven for a long time. But, what is true is that English is a Germanic language and most (especially white) Americans are of Germanic (Anglo-Saxon) descent.
I mean makes sense, since America is made up by the People of England..which was also made up by Germans, and English is a germanic language aswell..we are everywhere.
Good version of this song, I like the cover, how it has America, and Germany, I'd like to see more of the WW1 songs, like Es klappert der Huf am Stege, if that's ok with you, I'll super appreciate it.
German and Japanese version posted with in 2 weeks nice.
Congratulations on 100K btw 🥳
this is amazing, i'd love to see an instrumental version.
Thanks for nice cover for nice song!
Hi Karl, might be nice to hear more polish music in german.
which one`?
@@KarlSternau Thank you for answer, Karl ! There are a lot of polish songs i would like to see in german, but especially:
"Ojczyzno ma" - "My Fatherland"
"Warszawianka 1831" - "Warszawianka 1831"
"Rota" - "Rota"
"Hymn Paktu Warszawskiego" - "Anthem of the Warsaw Pact"
"Marsz Gwardii Ludowej" - "March of the People's Guard"
"Marsz pierwszego korpusu" - "March of the first corps"
"Dzień zwycięstwa" - "Victory day"
"Warszawianka 1905" - best version is from "Peter Schulz" channel.
"Hymn Sybiraków" - "Anthem of poles from Siberia"
All of this songs are good, its not important first or last - just for you to know there are such songs. Choice is your!
I will be glad to see at least one of them!
@@janpepeszaii3660,I see more soviet songs than polish.
I have some alternative list
1. Idą powstańcy
2. Marsz strzelców 1863
3. Marsz Hallera
4. Krakowiak Kościuszki
5. Idą leśni
6. O część wam panowie magnaci
@@romandmowski5079 Well, soviet is acutally Warsaw Pact Anthem and Victory Day, but the rest? Position 6 is good also..
@@janpepeszaii3660position 6 originally came from 1831 after November Uprising, not after WWII when this Communism shit took power in Poland
LG
Dafür reichen meine Englischkenntnisse nicht.
Hey Karl,i recently discovered your work and i think its great. Can you do more romanians songs in the future?
So good
For Freedom!
What is the twangy instrument in the background? I can't quite name it
My great grandfather Richard Diedrich from Hanover was a cavalry sergeant in an Iowa regiment under Grant. I wonder if this was actually what they may have sung, or did you make up words? Jerry Pinkepank Seattle
Took any references to God out.
This is cool watching from India
Классно!
Ausgezeignet!
The music in the background reminded me more of Dixie than the north but anyway Great version as always
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum 100.000❤❤

Hmm this lyrics is not the original one.
🇺🇲🤝🇩🇪
@@onkelwonkel229
This is not the original version lyrics.
Shouldn't that be German and English language version? Last time i checked, Americans spoke English..😂
Its called Denglish but there isnt very much of it in this song.
Americans speak whatever language they please.
Battle Hymn of the Republic is sang with the "American english" version just because they tried to be different from Britain 😂
