As Usual a fantastic VDO. Best are Engine, Exterior, Interior & adaptive cruise control. 'S o very Proud of India & Mahindra Car. Mahindra Engineering is far superior than Tata Motors. Tata's are yet to develop world class engines. Mahindra Cars are expensive than Tata's. It lacks in affordable base variant with loaded Safety, Functional & Feel Good features from the base Variant.

A great product indeed from M&M. However, as others have pointed out, the announced pricing, the wait period and the final price is where M&M plays a neat game. This is a street smart company, unlike TML, who have a certain set of ethics, which they do not compromise on. Remember the XUV 500 with a plastic guard that was retrofitted to reduce the ground clearance on paper to claim benefits of govt pricing ? The XUV 300 is a SSangyong Tivoli, that has undergone M&M 's world famous chop shop... Measure 4m from the front and slice it like a bread loaf ! Remember the Quanto / Nuovo ? In my opinion, the "new" engines on the Thar and the XUV700 are those that were / are used on the new SSangyong Rexton aka Alturas G4... both petrol and diesel, they are not built by M&M from the ground up. Building engines takes a long time, patirnce and efforts, besides huge R&D costs, which M&M dosen't believe in. Instead of trying to convert / upgrade the XUV500 2.2L diesel to meet BS6 norms, they simply plonked the G4s engine and .. viola ! The very same engine, a Peugeot DW12 derived engine was used by TML in the Storme/Hexa/Aria/Old Safari. A pity TML did not upgrade this to BS6, the Hexa would be on sale today, if yes. Now that M&M have sold off Ssangyong, these products / engines' R&D / upgrade, etc are with M&M, who will milk them till the end. Remember the XDP series of tractor derived engines that M&M used in the MM 540 ? But, I would still praise M&M for trying and putting together a fantastic MADE IN INDIA product. My choice of 7 seater remains the TATA SAFARI, most of these bells and whistles / features serve to market the product better. Do your homework... How many of these features have you actually used in your previous / existing car ? How many times have you used the sunroof, once the initial novelty wears off after clicking a few selfies ? Has one factored in the complexity of repair / recovering such a vehicle when the auto brakes / auto steering control start malfunctioning ? I wish both TML and M&M would provide for a user customized vehicle, with all the features one wants, removing the excess features which serve no purpose, increase the acquisition and future maintenance cost.

I v booked XUV 700 ax7l petrol automatic, with a waiting period till December 2023. Sounds crazy n irritating. Why don't Mahendra stop taking bookings for sometime? (I enquired for skoda kodiaq, straight away they said the bookings have closed for 2022). This i m saying after another dealer from my city Bangalore was forcing us to book from his showroom as well, as per him this is what ppl are doing booking in various dealers.. now it's clear why the number of bookings has gone over a lakh...

There are so many non sense comments here comparing between XUV 700 and KIA Carens. It just like comparison between carnivore and herbivore for simple understanding. Carens is MPV segment and XUV 700 is SUV segment. Completely different Prince points and engine displacement of both the vehicles. XUV 700 rivals are tata safari, hector plus, jeep meridian. Kia Carens rivals are Suzuki xls, ertiga, Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra marazo, somewhat close to Innova if people consider solely for people mover.
Yogi ji, maan lo aapka lane keep assist is ON. All of a sudden some jerk overtakes you from the left and because there is not much space and you get scared all of a sudden and try to steer towards your right... 😀😀😀 what will happen once car steers itself back towards the left .. 😀😀
in first review just see his opinion for 3 rd seat now slightly biased towards mahindra..i literally laughed when he sit in 3rd raw but now he feels comfortable
I didn’t say it’s extremely comfortable even here. I still said it lacks headroom, my head brushes and it lacks thigh support. What I said here is in comparison to some other ‘7-seater’ cars that are being offered in the mid-size SUV space. I am sorry if I couldn’t communicate well, but it still isn’t quite comfortable is what I meant. You either recline the last row seat to get a slightly better backrest angle and compromise on the boot space or do the vice versa. I actually emphasized on that part as well. Hope that clears all the confusion.

NO, its not overpriced.. i have seen it on road. I think Safari looks better.. Xuv is reasonable according to the features it offers..

If you use indicator, then lane keep assist won't prevent you from changing lanes otherwise it will
U have to keep a distance and overtake as I owe it , felt it , ur safe all time it will brake also physics sometimes human make mistakes it wont

There are so many non sense comments here comparing between XUV 700 and KIA Carens. It just like comparison between carnivore and herbivore for simple understanding. Carens is MPV segment and XUV 700 is SUV segment. Completely different Prince points and engine displacement of both the vehicles. XUV 700 rivals are tata safari, hector plus, jeep meridian. Kia Carens rivals are Suzuki xls, ertiga, Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra marazo, somewhat close to Innova if people consider solely for people mover.

Yogi ji, maan lo aapka lane keep assist is ON. All of a sudden some jerk overtakes you from the left and because there is not much space and you get scared all of a sudden and try to steer towards your right... 😀😀😀 what will happen once car steers itself back towards the left .. 😀😀

in first review just see his opinion for 3 rd seat now slightly biased towards mahindra..i literally laughed when he sit in 3rd raw but now he feels comfortable
I didn’t say it’s extremely comfortable even here. I still said it lacks headroom, my head brushes and it lacks thigh support. What I said here is in comparison to some other ‘7-seater’ cars that are being offered in the mid-size SUV space. I am sorry if I couldn’t communicate well, but it still isn’t quite comfortable is what I meant. You either recline the last row seat to get a slightly better backrest angle and compromise on the boot space or do the vice versa. I actually emphasized on that part as well. Hope that clears all the confusion.
In terms of space in 20 lakh price tag is zero, seems like customer is going to have just tight body around themselves
may be this version has problem with reverse cam. however there r no such issue in mine touch wood
