The Dark and Darker testing realm has finally released multi-classing for players who have bought the Founders Edition of the game can play. I decided to first test the Wizard/Cleric multi-class. Taking Smite and Perseverance from Cleric, ignite bonk wizard is taken to a whole new level. This is definitely broken and could break the game, but overall, VERY fun.

@Red - You use learning tokens to unlock stuff from other classes right? Not reward tokens like you mentioned.
Just started playing again its been a while. But damn im excited
insane bro cant wait to see what you do when its been rebalanced and put out on live servers. hopefully the 1-30 grind is done already lol
Any idea whether smite and corrupted blow work on ranged weapons?
doesnt the poison from the rogue scale with magic aswell?
Do you know if putting something like the crossbow mastery perk on cleric lets them use it or would they need weapon mastery

I wonder how perseverance works with Warlock's health cost for spells.
Also, ignite + smite + BoC sounds busted. Maybe even add bloodstained blade.
this is gonna get op really fast.
In a weird way it feels balanced because every class has something OP about it. Kind of like how the early playtests were people only had a general idea of what worked. Of course once the tryhards find the most meta builds it will become everyone running two or three builds, but until then it's really fun!

Does the ranking transfer from test server to the live server?
Honestly my biggest worry is that when this gose to live server then we will have the "honey mood" where everyone is having fun but then we will make the worse meta ever lol
it already happened on ptr. Noone is playing it anymore, can't event test anything in pvp.
There's no place for multiclassing at live server in the current iteration, like no way.
A balancing nightmare.
Unbalance is what makes DaD fun, we just need a mixup of who is in the spotlight, which this would do

The grind on the main servers is going to be hell. It needs to be less or it will be inaccessible to most players

Smite also doesn't have a headshot multiplier.
instead of spell overload put ice armor and even more survivability

Bard and wiz gonna get left behind when multiclassing drops. Nobody wants to use their perks or skills unfortunately. Also this build looks great until you find a dark plate fighter with iron will and antimagic.
I will play crossbow mastery bard. Or take a break if the game gets bs. I kinda liked the state of the game in solos. Trios are Aids bec of buffed barbs

I don't know if I'd necessarily call it "imbalanced" the game is "imbalanced" in its current state. Right now it seems like you're being given the tools to even out the ground. Is there one build that just beats all the other ones? We have yet to discover that, but I wouldn't say in its current state that's it's just imbalanced.
I like to think thjat this was always a roleplaying game. And that the classes will be looked at as bases.
Though smite on wizard seems fun, I actually really hope they make multiclassing for perks only and not abilities... When abilities are also shared then class identity just goes out the window. Which is also bad for gameplay because you will never know what you are fighting against
tbh Multiclassing looks super fun! Every class has a chance to be "OP", excited to see stuff like

@@MrSSnoMAN so true. It really sucks, and I hope they make the matchmaking NOT gear based. A multi-classed character will almost always out rank a non-multiclassed character. So having only gear-based would screw over new players and players trying to level up.

I’d say tank this idea completely. It will ruin the awful state pvp is already in. There will be maybe 2 playable classes and it’ll be a meta. Ironmaces brain is awful
