You don't need to apologise to us, Emily. Even sharing your illness is an incredibly brave thing for you to do but I hope it's also an empowering thing for you. You have over 13 thousand people (including me) who are subscribed to your channel and are standing with you and wishing you all the best. You must only do what you need to do to look after yourself and get yourself better. Sending love and hope you can overcome your struggles. x
Echoing everyone saying to take care of yourself and we’ll still be here when you’re feeling better. I struggle with ARFID (avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder) on and off myself. It’s basically a fancy title for an adult picky eater. I’ve always had texture issues with food since I have autism, but it got worse after a bad stomach bug a few years ago. It was kinda like I was afraid to eat anything that wasn’t a plain carb. Which really doesn’t work since I’m also diabetic. I’m in an ok place right now, but it does relapse from time to time. So the only advice I will give is to be gentle with yourself and try not to get too discouraged if you find your progress stalls or even goes backwards for a time. Healing is rarely a straight line, and there’s no shame in that. ❤
I am so glad you felt comfortable enough to share. I’ve also struggled with an ed, and have been trying to recover for over a year now. I hope you know that you’re not alone, and taking the steps to try get better is hard, but it is SO worth it. Take care of yourself, you can do this.
Awww I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve struggled with an ED , they really are the worst 😔 I’d give anything to make it go away ! Thank you so much for the lovely words it really means a lot ❤❤❤
I want you to know you are very brave for sharing your life. By even saying those words you have given some of its power away. You have the ability to be whoever you want to be. Your art and videos have given so many the friend they needed in their lives. We are all standing behind you.
Big hugs to you! I will try to keep this short and concise because if I say all the advice I want to give then I worry that I might get in trouble by giving medical advice as a non medical professional but my best tip on what helped me overcome my ED was that when I absolutely couldn't stop myself from body checking I did so by laying flat palms against my ribs and feel with light pressure of my finger tips on my ribs how easily I could feel them, and that healthy goal was "felt not seen". I tried to stop obsessing at all but since I had to self soothe, having a healthier way to body check did help. It was a lightbulb moment that inbetween fat and skinny existed healthy. It was weird that sick brain had somehow forgotten that. You are not alone and you've got this! I am over a decade healthy and it is so rare to be triggered now and when it does happen I have enough long term reinforcements of good habits that rough days are semi easy to handle so know that good days are ahead. 🫂 Your art is so cute!
My heart breaks for you suffering right now. There will always be ups and downs battling ones ED, but it’s so worth it in the end. Sending you a big hug, strength and endless patience with yourself. ❤ Also sending you the energy to create and do what makes you happy and takes your mind of things. ❤❤❤ On another note: I love how you drew the hands, they look great!! Those pentel markers look so juicy and the sound was fun too. Def a good choice of leaving out the music. 👌

I'm so sorry for what you're going through, and your videos are alway amazing, and please don't feel obligated to do more than what is good for you, and I assure you, you don't need to do a type of content for people, we love what you do ❤

Emily, I’m someone who’s been in recovery for quite some time from both anorexia and bulimia I’m aware of how horrible it is and the mind games and tricks that it plays. It is a tough and long journey but is totally worth it. It’s painful I’m not gonna lie to you it’s not easy and it gets worse before it gets better but you will find in life that is the same with anything worth pursuing. Remember that that voice in your head if it is always putting you down that it’s not your friend and it’s not to be trusted. There will come a day where your voice is louder and you can tell it to shut up and soon it will barely have any volume behind it it does happen, but put yourself first, and maybe try some art therapy with a trained professional as well. I found that extremely helpful as an outlet for the frustration and anger. I am counted well in the toughest scrips of the disease.
Awww I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had to battle an ED too! Your lovely words and support really mean a lot and you’ve given me hope that I will beat this ❤❤ I shall definitely have a look at the art therapy !
I'm sorry to hear you're struggling. I completely understand where you're coming from. I had to take therapy after having an episode, and it can be so exhausting and energy draining but I hope it's also helping too. Take you're time with treatment and posting ❤🩷
