      Especially being that the words " this ship is unsinkable " was never claimed by WSL, Cunard or IMMC etc. The media was responsible for those claims

      @@peterduncan5873they made mild hints that nothing anyone could imagine at the time could sink it, but never made any direct unsinkable claims towards the ship.

    The.captain was the last to evacuate...where does this cowardice stuff come from

      Captain Calamai had to be basically dragged off the Andrea Doria by his officers. Even after everyone else had been safely evacuated, he intended to go down with his ship if necessary. It wasn’t until around 5:30 am that his officers finally convinced him to evacuate.
