Such a talented and criminally underrated band.
One of may fave bands ever. Went to kerala with my guitar25 years ago and taught the locals Govinda. The next year I go back, I’m welcomed not with my name but “GOVINDA JAYA JAYA”..happy days
They certainly gave it a bit of wellie ... cheers
An all-time great cover of any song. Might be the best one of them all.
There are so many versions of this song, but yours is the best by far!
Best cover EVER!!!🥳😎🏴
cover?
@@Martyboy_Glasgow yeah, the original is by Deep Purple I'm sure
Yes it is a Deep Purple song, but Kula Shaker's version was more popular
@@andyfulton9603 Billy Joe Royal is the original, Deep Purple covered it. Kula Shaker's is my favourite version though.
@@adiohead every day's a school day as they say 👍
Amazing band!!!
I fell in love with their music when it was released..
Kula shaker were awesome..and they still are..🤟..my favourite performance was on TFI friday..with arthur brown..f#@kin head on fire 👏👏👏😈🤣🤣
I was so into them when I was an art student. Oh gosh, they still sound so good!
Great guitar work Krispin. K 🙏✌️🤘🇦🇺
great performance; only wish they'd remembered to turn up the backing mics
I can't believe I'll finally gonna see you live guys!!! Has been a long long wait, but the love is intact!!! REC Concepción November I'll be in the front fucking line! Kula god damn shaker!! Unbelievable band of all times!
Can not wait till the Old Fruitmarket gig on 5th July 👍
Wow original line up 👏🏻👏🏻
Everyone except Harry Broadbent on keys. Not sure what Jay Darlington is up to these days.
@@sunmahsheneI saw them yesterday, Harry wasn’t there but jay was on keys! So maybe they swap round sometimes who knows 🤷♂️
Saw them.last night. Amazing performance. The whole sound was epic. Their prodigy cover was an unexpected treat. Possible favourite gig so far.
That song isn't even a cover, it was actually co-written by Crispian Mills and Liam Howlett of The Prodigy! Prodigy used it on "The Fat of the Land", Kula Shaker's version appeared years later on "Strangefolk".
@@al1976-v7m didnt know that 👍
@@al1976-v7m I’d still call it a cover, given it is instrumental a different arrangement that doesn’t quite raise the hairs like your typical prodigy track intended to
@@ARyan-nf5my but the music was probably written by Crispian in the first place
@@al1976-v7m maybe ..
Love that Rickenbacker!
I still love them
Forever young
Sounds great 👍
I like them for the music
All i have is all i need, Enough for love But not for Greed.
LOVE LOVE LOVE
Love it! Great band.
Classic 🎊 🎉🏴
Brilliant band.
Brilliant the best
I think most people know the earlier Deep Purple version, not the one from 1997!
Amooooooooo
Wow Ommmm
😍😍😍😍😍
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I feel sorry for whoever has to lug that fkin organ around 🤣
Can you give me a hand mate?
Yeah sure where to?
Erm, Central London right at the top of a tower.
*&^%!
Not actually a real Hammond B3 - it's a couple of 'clonewheel' keyboards mounted in a B3-style cabinet - so probably not all that heavy. Still bulky though!
I think Kula Shaker fell victim to an anti middle class phase in English music. I did not like them at the time as they seemed posh. However, that was very unfair as they were very talented. My loss.
Same here. It’s what personal opinion swamped by politically driven social media can do. They were a very talented band.
Excellent observation
I just liked who I liked in high school, and so glad I did. I remember making a K clock in woodwork, took a wee slagging for it cause it wasn’t Oasis (who I also liked). It wasn’t a posh school 😂 just loved guitar music.
Kulashaker and Reef, along with Gomez, they were the best bands of the 90s for me 👍
They didn't fall victim to anything. After peasants they didn't produce any music for 8 years and peasants didn't move the bar from k ...that's the reality not some weird narrative you've all invented. People weren't obsessed with every little detail before social media.
@@dagnutThey got absolutely eviscerated in the NME and some other publications. Based on some quasi-mystical claptrap about swastikas and yes, being Sir John Mills’ grandson and a bit posh. That’s why they stopped when they did. Not because the second album tanked. It went top ten.
bad filming, is the cameraman guitarophobic or what mate
Shit live!
Fake Hammond B3. Even Kula Shaker have fallen victim to the culture of comfort over style, what a shame..
