My childhood memories being unlocked. My school was a small district but we did have one of these in the fleet. Was always exciting to ride in it as the spare bus filling in.
I used to ride a Gillig with the 671 and this sound brought back memories! We had a tandem Crown a long time ago too, and several single axle Crowns with a 4 stroke diesel I6 of some kind, maybe a Cat.
I used to ride the 40 foot Crowns to school with the 6-71 Detroits back in the early 90's! What awesome memories those were! I'd love to relive them some day!

We are bus experts. We get help from anyone who will hold a camera. A street person showed up at the right moment or we wouldn’t have this video. To me, every Crown video is perfect

The 4 strokes were likely a Cummins laid over on its side.
The memories of riding these great buses never leave us. There are so few left now. It’s such fun to take them out and let them run hard!!

The sound of that is music to the ear, just as bike riders feel of the sound of a Harley with straight pipe exhaust
sounds best when driver goes thru all 10 gears - no skipping in lower range
