Great work on the macro and the user screens! About the 360degrees limit of the umbrella; In eding you can choose the type of axis that is used on that output. (In the setup tab, under 'slave mode' have you tried 'rot' or '4th mill'? Allthough the latter is meant to make the 4th axis run in g93-style-like-feed rather than units/time feed. Does my lityle eye spy.... A broken bt30 holder? No worries.. I've broken my share of iso30 forks too...
Yes your eye is right, i broke one when i was loading a tool manually in the pocket by hand, luckily i ordered some spare once. About the axis on Eding, i checked but seems only channel 4 supports 4th mill, channel 6 can only be a slave or a rotating axis, and on that channel i have mounted the tool changer.
Do you have a sensor to check if the draw bar locked the tool correctly? Or is there a chance that a tool can fall down ? Also you can turn off the "stabilization" parameter in your camera settings, the machine will look less wobbly:)
first of all this work is amazing and it's professionally finished the machine is showing high performance and rigidity , i'm thinking of purchasing the eding cnc controller i have read the manual but i didn't find the way to modify the macro.cnc file that is responsible for executing the m6 command in this case running the atc to do the tool changing cycle who did you accomplish this please.
its because of the camera, my phone try's to stable the image but the machine moves to fast so it looks a bit strange. it also looks like my vise is like a puding.

Hello, how do you control the alignment of the tool to make the tool change? Do you use any brakes to block the alignment ?. I congratulate you on your project. It is one of the best I've seen.
Yeah i measured 15 seconds for a toolchange if the tool is like the next tool in line. I bought those toolclamps on aliexpress for the price i cant make then my self.
Nice. You can optimize the tool changing speed a bit. The spindle goes initially all the way up, then down to the tool changer umbreala. Similarly after the tool change is done, it goes again up to the top. I don't think it is necessary, and adds 1-2 seconds of delay each time. Unless it has something to do with some home sensors.
@@Svanitterzon Thats Ok. Yes flood cooling and is best however there may be better suited lubricants for this (just seeing if any one knows) For example we use to use METHO to cool and lubricate aluminium. It worked. But today i would think it could be risky but you do not use much.
I used eding already for a few years, also on my other machines. I know how it works and didnt want to learn a new controller. And it's a Dutch product.
The automatic tool change followed by the manual WD40 spraying, really made me laugh!

You need deffinetly 3+1/2 AXIS being the last one your arm with a WD 40 spray
Not a bad thing really. It keeps the operator from going to sleep.
The automatic robotic hand that sprays the WD40 and makes minor adjustments looks very realistic.

It's a function of the spindle driver, just give it a signal and it will move the spindle to a predefined spot and keeps it there.
