My brother and I saw "The Marked Ones" in the theater and the audience was laughing for almost the entire movie. I know that sounds kinda bad for a horror movie, but it was such a fun theater experience. When the first old lady runs in and gets blasted off the screen, the audience literally cheered. I know that sounds ridiculous, but they actually cheered.

I recently watched Spiral. It is so nice to see the "villain" of this movie being the actual hero and all deaths they caused being entirely justified - while in the previous ones, Jigsaw and their helpers would kill relatives and friends of the main victim for no good reason.
I think the Child's Play series is pretty underrated, compared to the other slasher series. Chucky gets a lot of grief because "Killer dolls aren't scary or threatening. Just pick them up and smash them or whatever". But, I'm pretty sure most slasher fans don't find the movies scary anymore and are more interested in the personality of the movies. Which Chucky and its reoccurring characters bring a ton of personality. Even the straight to dvd movies have effort and creativity put into them.

Whole last act is fun if not very silly and the handheld approach imo is alot more interactive and eerie than the stationary shots the rest of the movies use.
Good point about the handheld, but the fourth one botched that premise harder than I've ever seen in a "found footage" film. Especially the "chase" scenes.
The marked ones was good. The idea of a demon not allowing you to be harmed because you're it's chosen vessel is creepy. It's like those tarantulas that keep a frog as a pet for a while until eventually eating it.
The tarantulas don't eat the frogs that live with them. If they do, that's an accident but for the most part they dont eat the frog that's there to protect it's eggs.
Paranormal Activity sorta feels like the movie equivalent to what FNAF is to horror games. A small indie project that suddenly becomes highly successful series, and effectively influenced how horror films were produced for the next couple of years.

I’m honestly glad Marked Ones got a lot more recognition lately, since when it was released people claimed it was the worst one so far. It was definitely my favorite when I rewatched the series
I think people disliked it because it’s a little more camp like Meat mentioned; going from a trilogy that was genuinely scary for a lot of people (and the 4th which was kinda ehh but still meant to be scary) to something that makes you laugh at little old ladies getting blasted away by shotguns and a kid learning to fly was a big tonal shift
Growing up Hispanic from a not very well off family really made me relate to the characters and the environment they were in. I felt like I could be family with those guys or friends at school with them. Just the humor and the overall tone of the movie really hit. Like meat said the other movies revolve around people in nice houses nice cars and you think yeah arrogant assholes die to spiritual stuff. But the marked ones had that grandma who didn’t f*ck with that stuff, so realistic I felt bad when anyone died in this movie I never felt like the ignorance of them was their down fall it just felt like they got screwed by circumstance.
I love your art and animations but honestly I gotta say I might like these discussion videos even more. Always find myself cracking up through the whole vids and like your takes on the movies
So happy to hear some love for "The Marked Ones". People were really shitting on it when it first came out, but I guess they were looking for something like the run-of-the-mill sequels. It was fun and entertaining. What more do you need? The time travel twist was so stupid but a funny surprise.
A couple buddies, my brothers, and myself watched the original Paranormal Activity movie in high school at like 3 am all huddled around my laptop. It freaked us the hell out so when you did the “love letter” to the movie part I completely understand what you meant by that.
I think it’s worth a mention that “The Blair Witch Project” was the OG indie horror film that took America by storm. Paranormal Activity owes a lot of its success to the progenitor of found footage films.
Well, they both have a lot in common. Lots of boring crap, with a few lackluster scares. The only thing that makes "Blair Witch" kind of interesting is the MatPat theory that all the supernatural stuff was fake; and the two guys just plotted to murder the girl. And it's still not interesting enough to watch it again.
@@snarkasticdouche3863 What made Blair Witch so interesting and "Scary" was that it was something completely new for the horror genre, aka trying to make it an irl life event...In many ways it was an early version of what later came to be youtube paranormal videos. In the same way that Jackass is an early version of RUclips prank videos. I usually watch this film a little now and then because I love how the film conveys its story. But also because the film has a time capsule vibe.
@@snarkasticdouche3863 No offense, but if that is the theory about BWP that you find interesting then its really not a shock that you didnt enjoy the film. There are other theories about there about the film (time warp) that are a little more interesting. What made it scary was the idea that you could enter an area in this world and not be able to escape due to an unseen entity controlling the woods. Its a feeling of helplessness that anyone watching the movie can relate to. And the acting from the 3 main players is better than anything in the PA universe. Also the advertising behind it is something that no movie will ever be able to accomplish again. Lots of people thought it was real footage when it was in theatres which added to the fright. Maybe that was silly to believe in hindsight, but its also 25 years ago.
Know what also had some really memorable advertisements? Budweiser. Know what also leaves a vague stale urine taste in your mouth? BWP. Also, I saw that "Film Theory" about a year ago, so... No, it had nothing to do with my distaste for weak, pissy tasting beer; or bad acting, and shitty movies. Nothing was good about the acting in either movie. It was "naturalistic dialogue''; mostly ad-libs by completely unskilled, untested actors. Ad-libbing can work, when it's done by a professional with a lifetime of acting experience. When you try it with nobodies; it just comes off as corny, bad acting. Sure, the acting in BWP was better than PA. Just like it's better picking up after my dog when it's a solid log; and not a pile of diarrhea. @@NothingToPointOut24
I still remember watching Paranormal activity 1 as a kid and the found footage format completely blew my mind. My favourite horror movie up to this point was Dead Silence and i forgot all about it after paranormal.
My little bother and sister would watch anything with us, and not get scared in the least. But a sheet in paranormal moved a little bit? Couldn’t sleep for weeks without having nightmares
@@RAAM855 blair witch was a scam 😂😂😂 not even scary… Noroi The Curse came out in 2005, now that one was creepy! Came out after Blair witch and before Paranormal activity. Actually Paranormal activity copied one of the scenes from Noroi The curse and milked for 5 movies 😂😂😂
@@RAAM855 Sorry for correcting, but they did in 1997 (the year they shot the movie) or 1999 (the year the movie got released). 1994 was just a plot detail.
I remember my mother and two sisters went to watch Paranormal Activity 1 in theaters late one night, and had such a profound experience. They came home visibly shaken. I can only compare it to when The Exorcist came out and people were having fainting spells, and flocked to church. My mother and sisters were adamant that I not watch it. So of course I did when it came out on DVD, and found it just okay. However, when Paranormal Activity 2 came out I was dead set on having an experience like them, and went to go watch it opening weekend. Suffice it to say… it was alright. I didn’t get much out of it.
yea am sure going to theaters was a complete different experience for the first movie then it was going for the 2nd one u should have waited to watch the 5th one in theaters and it was honesty such a cool experience with my family watching it being so scared watching it in the movies as kid not just that but the 5th was such a good movie
I remember working at the theater when this came out. Crowd reaction was nuts and word of mouth was explosive. To this day, still the best viral marketing experience ever thought up
I legitimately fell asleep during Paranormal Activity 2 in the theater. I was woken up by an usher and realized that I needed better friends because they just left me there.
if you're a brown dude in PA I got a picture of you with my friends making obscene gestures next to your head, man. Long shot, but his friends also left him in the theater to snooze, can't be that many people falling asleep to PA2 and having shit friends who left them there. If it's not you then you're part of a very exclusive club, grats.
As a massive fan of the Child's Play franchise, I would love to see a video on your take of the franchise. A ranking of the existing films would be great, or even just a video talking about your experience with the movies. Any ongoing franchise with 35 years of films and history and drastic changes in tone and characterization lends itself well to this format I think, and even if you hate them, it'd be fun to hear how you rip on them.
I saw the 1st one in a theater too and it’s kinda impossible to describe how the audience’s reactions made the movie so much scarier. It was an experience, not just a movie. They should have just left it at the first one.
I saw the second movie in theaters and I’ll never forget dying of laughter at the dads neck getting snapped followed by the force blast. I was laughing and the women in front of me is balling her eyes out terrified. Iconic moment 😂
There are two types of people that enjoy horror movies. People that enjoy the tension heightened sense arousal that comes with being scared.. and psychopaths that revel in the chaos. Both of you were having a blast but in different ways. Seeing the first one in theaters was wild. Lots of people just straight up screaming punctuated by bursts of shocked laughter. It was definitely on the level of Blair Witch Project, the film that preceded it culturally less than a decade before. Some good movies like Cloverfield came out of this period in movies, but I’m somewhat glad we’ve largely moved on from it as a trend.
I remember when I saw paranormal activity in theatres... It was my sophomore year in highschool and I had finally been invited to a birthday party with a group of the more popular kids from my grade. We all went to sushi before proceeding onwards to the movie theatre. We all bought our tickets, purchased some snacks from the concession shake down counter and went inside. We were sat in two rows, we numbered in the twenties. I am a tall mf so i sat in the further back row. The movie begins and everything is going just fine. The cute blonde that I had somewhat of a crush on was sitting directly in front of me, this is key. Remember the sushi? Well, the souls of the salmon and tuna fish had sought revenge on me for eating their mortal coils. The movie was in a tense moment of building dissonant sound while nothing happened on screen. I felt the jumpscare coming just as I felt the a large movement in my gut. The music climaxed - I attempted to use the anticipated jumpscare audio hit to mask the sound of the fart. But there was no jumpscare. Just silence. Silence except for my ass. Which was the only sound in the theatre. Everyone around me turned and stared at me. Laughs and chuckles were heard from all direction within the theatre. The girl I had a crush on turned around when she heard my thunder from down under just soon enough to catch the miasma wave of death to the face. The transformation and contortion of her face in the moment haunted me for the remainder of my highschool experience. I look back on it now and laugh, but I can't think of paranormal activity without thinking of that.
Huh? Possibly one of the worst movies I've ever seen 😅 To each their own, though. The first 5 minutes of Outlast were more investing than that entire movie.
Used to only really tune into your channel when you posted animations, but now I realized you are one of the most entertaining people on this platform & I'm glad I gave you a chance.
The thing that works so well about the first movie is just the dread that comes from this scenario. The jokey tone at the beginning perfectly sets you up for the depressing rollercoaster that the characters are about to go on, and it gets so bad that they barely even communicate with each other and it just feels like a hopeless situation by the end
I liked the series as a whole. However, I feel like they didn’t need to even make sequels. In a hypothetical world if they never made a sequel after the first one, I had this theory the girlfriend was just crazy and there was never any ghost.
Does anyone remember the found footage show lost tapes? I think that would be a sick topic to cover. It was the perfect stepping stone form goosebumps to actual “grown up” horror movies as a kid,
One of the things I liked about paranormal activity was how it used footage of something you couldn't see but was implied combined with menacing sound cues.
Dude I forgot how funny the neck snap, force blast, and girl being dragged into the closet were. My sister and I were in tears when those movies came out. Also, the Hellraiser series could be a fun option for the future.
I would love to see you talk about Grave Encounters, because your horror movie reviews give me life. Also. The first Grave Encounters I thought was pretty good for the "Found Footage" genre. Also an Evil Dead series tier list would be cool.
@uglybetty8747 The only, and I mean ONLY, good thing about the second one. Was the scene where they think they leave the asylum, and they take the elevator in the hotel and end up back at the asylum.
That movie experience was epic. My friends and I saw it at midnight when new movies used to premiere at that time. I was only 16, friends were 17 and couldn’t be considered my chaperones. I remember a nice couple pretended I was with them and bought my ticket. Such a great time. Scared the shit out of me.
I'd really recommend the Rec series. It's another found footage series about zombies but it goes places lol. It's a wild ride. The first movie is one of my favorites and it ended up having a few English spinoffs called "Quarantine". Those went a differention than Rec but both are at least fun. The first Rec movie is easily one of my favorite horror movies. I feel it does like... 90% of things right. Simple setting. Relatively grounded premise. Good pacing. Has an air of mystery (as long as the characters are ignorant to what's going on, so are you), and it does do much with basically four rooms. The other movies aren't as good but they are still pretty fun watches. That first one though is an absolute gem. The originals aren't in English but the remakes are. The first Quarantine and first Rec are nearly the same though.
I’m glad Papa Meat thinks highly of The Marked Ones. It definitely gives the first a run for its money in my book. It tries to emulate Chronicle a lot, a movie which I love, and I think it did a pretty good job at using that to do something different within the confines of the PA universe. And its ending is like the best one, hands down.
The marked ones tbh was my favorite. They did the only jump scare that actually made me feel anxious and wanted to scream at the main character to run. The basement scene when all you hear is running footsteps towards you.
I remember my first time seeing Paranormal Activity 1 when it first came out and the version I saw had Katie become possessed, kill Micah off screen with a knife and then sit by her bed until the next day. Then when police came to the house she snapped back to normal and walked downstairs with the knife in hand still and was gunned down by the police.
Back when I saw the third movie I found myself thinking how they could make an interesting fourth movie without just repeating the same formula. My idea was that they should go back to the dead couple at the end of #2 and show the perspective of the police investigating the murders from their body cams and dash cams and stuff, and as they investigate strange shit happens. That seemed like it would be a fun switch up of the formula. Obviously never happened.
I just want to give praise to your editor. These videos (especially the "Stay Out Of The Basement" Goosebumps video), have me laughing harder than I've laughed in a long long time. Thank you fellas.
Marked ones got a lot of shit but tbh I loved that movie. The main actors portray casual Mexican American culture so perfectly in a way I kinda haven’t really seen before in a movie. It’s been done for sure but those dudes were incredible. Not the scariest movie but having an actual likeable character get possessed is new. Usually it’s just a little girl that you don’t really know anything about. My favorite of the PA franchise, glad to see it get some love and high ranking🤘🏼
I appreciate the chat about the 1st movie being such a fun movie to see in the theatre. I saw it with several friends and was like 2 fourlokos deep... it was a blast.
I remember when Paranormal Activity 1 came out while I was in high school. We had a theatre in town that was selected as one of the limited-release venues before it blew up. A big group from my class went to it and it was honestly an experience you had to witness in that moment. In hindsight, the movie loses a lot upon extra viewings at home or even upon thinking about how cheesy it was.
Paranormal activity 3 fucked. Me. Up. Bad as a kid. I couldn't reach into my room to turn the lightswitch on when it was dark or have my closet door open. I was afraid of putting my feet on the ground when getting out of bed or off the couch cause I thought I would get sucked under it. Didnt help my mom believed our house was haunted either so I thought playing the movie in our living room gave our ghost ideas.
My traumatic story about seeing the first movie was that I confused “paranormal” with “extraterrestrial” and convinced my mom to let me, a 9 year old, to see a creepy alien movie. Crawled into bed with my parents every night for a month 😂😂
I remember liking the Marked Ones. There was one scene where there’s like a running sound stomping towards the camera that gave me chills but I can’t remember anything else. So yeah if my favorite one only has one thing I vaguely remember, it goes to show the quality of these movies
I must confess. The kitchen cabinets in the middle of the day without the "bass warning" in the 2nd movie... It got me. Only memorable thing from this entire list of movies...
The coolest thing i remember from the Paranormal Activity movies was the Marked Ones being based in my town and some locations were being shot at the spots. A good amount of teens and young adults were hyped of course.
I don't know how he does find time to produce and post the cartoons and still etertain us with this more light hearted content, even with help of a team it seems very difficult, thanks papa.
Since we now have confirmation that there is going to be a remake of the Exorcist coming out possibly this year (yikes) you could go through that series of films! Not a super long list, I believe there's only 5 of them. The original Exorcist is one of my favourite horror films that actually scares me and its influence still lives on today. Also there's a lot of crazy behind the scenes stuff you can delve into if need be.
My opinion from the best to the worst: 1-paranormal activity 3 2 paranormal activity 2 3-paranormal activity 1 4-paranormal activity 5 The marked ones 5-paranormal activity 4 6-paranormal activity 6 The ghost dimension 7- paranormal activity 7 Next of kin
I really feel sorry for zoomers not being able to have that level of naïveté when experiencing things that millennials had as kids. We peaked as a species in the 90s but there was something damn magical in 00’s entertainment realm

Honestly brother, this was awesome to hear you and your creative mind analyse these horror films. Especially because (although you might not believe it) plenty of people out there admire your views on cinematography and story development as well as your trippy and disturbing style of horror orientated animation. This was great to take a trip back into memory lane with you and get a lil glimpse of your past. God bless, Papa Meat. Love from NZ.
Paranormal activity next of kin was going over the next demon in line, the last one got out and freed so this was the "next of kin" I believe. Cant say for 100% but thats how I interpreted it
I remember going to see the original paranormal activity with some friends thinking we wouldn’t react or that it was going to be stinker. It was a great experience in the theatre, the value of an audience audibly reacting to a movie is really gratifying and a memorable experience everyone should enjoy. It’s moments like those when everyone loses their shit during a horror movie that really stick with you. That is one thing about going to see a movie at the theatre that streaming will never be able to match.

The first one was good because of how it was marketed. Found footage, you had to request it to come to your theater, and it reminded people of the way Blair Witch was marketed. It was definitely a “you had to be there” type of phenomenon. I didn’t realize there was more than three movies 😅
You should do final destination, shit messed me up as a kid also ngl. Another great franchise you should watch is VHS. Those movies are great and keeps it interesting because they are like a bunch of short films of different "found footage ". the marked ones i watched it like 5 times when i was in middle school it was that good i had to watch it with all my friends (im 20)
A couple buddies, my brothers, and myself watched the original Paranormal Activity movie in high school at like 3 am all huddled around my laptop. It freaked us the hell out so when you did the “love letter” to the movie part I completely understand what you meant by that.
'The Marked Ones' is my favorite Paranormal Activity so I agree that it should be seen first.
When the ouija scene came on, I was high as a kite and was like "What the fuuuuuuuuuuuuck"
@@snarkasticdouche3863
What made Blair Witch so interesting and "Scary" was that it was something completely new for the horror genre, aka trying to make it an irl life event...In many ways it was an early version of what later came to be youtube paranormal videos.
Meh Blair Witch did it better and they did it in 1994
@@RAAM855 blair witch was a scam 😂😂😂 not even scary… Noroi The Curse came out in 2005, now that one was creepy! Came out after Blair witch and before Paranormal activity. Actually Paranormal activity copied one of the scenes from Noroi The curse and milked for 5 movies 😂😂😂
@@trollingboy9729 😂
To this day, still the best viral marketing experience ever thought up
I’d say Blair Witch would of been a competitor
Just wait til you find out what Blair witch did
@@BigLewi nah blair witch was was way cooler. Lol.
I legitimately fell asleep during Paranormal Activity 2 in the theater. I was woken up by an usher and realized that I needed better friends because they just left me there.
wow
man was usher with you watching paranormal activity too? That’s awesome!
Did he wake you up by popping ya collar....
Usher.....dunt matter
if you're a brown dude in PA I got a picture of you with my friends making obscene gestures next to your head, man. Long shot, but his friends also left him in the theater to snooze, can't be that many people falling asleep to PA2 and having shit friends who left them there. If it's not you then you're part of a very exclusive club, grats.
I did the same during multiverse of madness.
Making a found footage movie 3D has to be one of the choices of cinema.
RUclipsr called In Praise of Shadows has made a video about Child's Play franchise. He's one of my favourite youtubers, definitely check him out 😊
@@maumau8229 I will do that, thanks for the rec!
Me too. Nothing beats child's play 1988 for me. Just how it's shot and my god the music in that movie is great. Joe Renzetti did that movie justice.
If he does this he has to include the Chucky TV series as its a direct continuation
0:05 wheres this sample from ?
I saw the 1st one in a theater too and it’s kinda impossible to describe how the audience’s reactions made the movie so much scarier. It was an experience, not just a movie. They should have just left it at the first one.
Coming back to this in 2025 and I really miss the tentacle wiggle. BRING BACK THE TENTACLE
I can’t look away
@@folieadeux147 Big agree love found footage in small doses. Cloverfield one of my all time favorites. PA not so much lol.
I did exactly the same, I got so many dirty looks but I didn't care 🤣😂
I cracked up at the part where the dad is lecturing the family and says “I’ve had enough of this haunted house crap!” 😂
The scene with the baby getting dragged got giggles up until the part it's getting pushed against the bars. Then it was full-on laughter
Yo I have been laughing so hard for like 5 minutes now. 10/10 thank you for sharing your high school trauma
F
LOOOOL my man's got ass demon PTSD
I’ve showed 5 people this comment and I can’t stop laughing still lol
Whoever directed Paranormal Activity Next of Kin, should direct an Outlast live action movie! I feel like they nailed that visual style so well!
Super underrated movie hon3stly
hard agree, that one actually ranks at number two for me! I had so much fun watching that one, I love a good practical effect ghoul
Huh? Possibly one of the worst movies I've ever seen 😅
To each their own, though. The first 5 minutes of Outlast were more investing than that entire movie.
It was basically Outlast 2, so yeah makes sense you would think of that
Used to only really tune into your channel when you posted animations, but now I realized you are one of the most entertaining people on this platform & I'm glad I gave you a chance.
Lmao yeah, this channel randomly got suggested to me and after a while I was like.... wait a minute.... Meatcanyon!
The things I always liked about these movies was how accurately they portrayed suburban family life and how real it all felt
The demonology was accurate too
Wouldn't know. That's why I related to Candyman more 😅
I've been bingewatching these videos since finding this channel and it's been my main source of entertainment for the last few days. Very nice
It was the perfect stepping stone form goosebumps to actual “grown up” horror movies as a kid,
I was obsessed with that show as a kid. First episode I saw was the jersey devil.
Dude that show was goated man. I’m glad I’m not the only who liked that show. I love the Dover demon episode and also the jersey devil episode.
He could at least talk about those Silent Hill movies
Used to love that show as a kid, always creeped me out
i cannot stop watching the tentacle wiggle
Same! The way none of the top comments mention the giant dildo in the corner had me surprised. Lol
It's a Dildo 😂
One of the things I liked about paranormal activity was how it used footage of something you couldn't see but was implied combined with menacing sound cues.
Dude I forgot how funny the neck snap, force blast, and girl being dragged into the closet were. My sister and I were in tears when those movies came out.
Also, the Hellraiser series could be a fun option for the future.
Totally off topic but i appreciate the Escape the Fate call back, especially old ETF. Love your videos
I would love to see you talk about Grave Encounters, because your horror movie reviews give me life. Also. The first Grave Encounters I thought was pretty good for the "Found Footage" genre. Also an Evil Dead series tier list would be cool.
Grave encounters was awesome the second one was like so unnecessary they should’ve just left it the way it was
@uglybetty8747 The only, and I mean ONLY, good thing about the second one. Was the scene where they think they leave the asylum, and they take the elevator in the hotel and end up back at the asylum.
Still my favorite horror movie til this day, very disappointed more horror fans don’t talk about it tbh
Took me 8 mins to spot the bad dragon on the desk. Nice.
And its ending is like the best one, hands down.
our attention span was different back then...hard to believe someone sat through one of these movies in a movie theater and watched the whole thing
The marked ones tbh was my favorite. They did the only jump scare that actually made me feel anxious and wanted to scream at the main character to run. The basement scene when all you hear is running footsteps towards you.
Yeah it was gud honestly nd the Tokyo night is another gud one
the way the tenticle wiggles when hunter moved
Absolutely do the FD series. I have fond memories of more than one, and I think they handled the "lore" really well by the end
I'd love to see you talk about other franchises! You're a real horror fan so your opinions are always spot on
Listen to all of Buckethead’s discography in one sitting.
The first one was an INSANE theater experience. I had a guy light a blunt, couple people walked out, and almost everyone was talking to the screen!!
The amount of serotonin I get when Papa Meat uploads is alarming
I just want to give praise to your editor. These videos (especially the "Stay Out Of The Basement" Goosebumps video), have me laughing harder than I've laughed in a long long time. Thank you fellas.
I love these ranking videos. Keep them coming
My favorite of the PA franchise, glad to see it get some love and high ranking🤘🏼
yknow I saw this channel and didn't think it'd be as good as your other channel, but honestly the commentary and editing is so good! Love your work!
Dude, I love the way you're doing you're channel!
I appreciate the chat about the 1st movie being such a fun movie to see in the theatre. I saw it with several friends and was like 2 fourlokos deep... it was a blast.
Damn that was back when 4Lokos were still 4Lokos too!!
Marked Ones is a guilt pleasure movie. Honestly the most fun to have out of them all.
Marked ones has always been my favorite of the series, for sure the most fun one out of em.
I love the bad dragon tentacle wobbling on the desk through the whole video.
Love the movie reviews, keep ‘em coming!!
Bro I've been looking for a channel like this for ages, please keep up the great work you do.
Found this series from the Saw rankings, the end made me crack up having already seen him put himself through it lolol
for me it was Sinister. I was in a theater in one of the places that the film goes to and people actually screamed. It was great.
My Dad went to it, and hates horror movies. He almost threw up from one of the cheaper scares.😅
The editing on these videos are getting better and better 💀. I’m enjoying his movie reviews more than his cartoons
Not gonna lie, the first one freaked me out when I saw it in theaters. Classic film that spawned a whole genre.
That big ass bad dragon tentacle is making me giggle
The coolest thing i remember from the Paranormal Activity movies was the Marked Ones being based in my town and some locations were being shot at the spots. A good amount of teens and young adults were hyped of course.
I cannot get enough of these reviews, keep it up, pops!
Thank u for putting The Marked Ones at number 2! It was definitely the most interesting and fun one since the original!
My opinion from the best to the worst:
1-paranormal activity 3
2 paranormal activity 2
3-paranormal activity 1
4-paranormal activity 5 The marked ones
5-paranormal activity 4
6-paranormal activity 6 The ghost dimension
7- paranormal activity 7 Next of kin
totally right! i agree
I really feel sorry for zoomers not being able to have that level of naïveté when experiencing things that millennials had as kids. We peaked as a species in the 90s but there was something damn magical in 00’s entertainment realm
Just leaving a comment to say that I've been loving these Horror Movies Themed videos. The editing and your personality are a perfect match and everey time I see new upload I get excited
Big hugs, hope you are doing great and Lots of love!
the bad dragon tentacle took center stage with this video
Honestly brother, this was awesome to hear you and your creative mind analyse these horror films. Especially because (although you might not believe it) plenty of people out there admire your views on cinematography and story development as well as your trippy and disturbing style of horror orientated animation. This was great to take a trip back into memory lane with you and get a lil glimpse of your past.
God bless, Papa Meat.
Love from NZ.
I wish he did a list of his favorite horrors in general!
Paranormal activity next of kin was going over the next demon in line, the last one got out and freed so this was the "next of kin" I believe. Cant say for 100% but thats how I interpreted it
I like that no one seems to notice the bad dragon tentacle 💀
I remember going to see the original paranormal activity with some friends thinking we wouldn’t react or that it was going to be stinker. It was a great experience in the theatre, the value of an audience audibly reacting to a movie is really gratifying and a memorable experience everyone should enjoy. It’s moments like those when everyone loses their shit during a horror movie that really stick with you. That is one thing about going to see a movie at the theatre that streaming will never be able to match.

When my SO and I went to watch the first one some dudes jumped down into the seats next to us from the row behind ours because we "hadn't screamed yet," and they "needed support" lmao. The movies are definitely better in theaters.
I hate going to the theatre. I don't want to just listen to someone cough and breathe behind me. I genuinely don't care about the experiences of "the group fun" of concerts or other cult things like that
I did not even notice the tentacle till halfway through😭
The first one was good because of how it was marketed. Found footage, you had to request it to come to your theater, and it reminded people of the way Blair Witch was marketed.
It was definitely a “you had to be there” type of phenomenon.
I didn’t realize there was more than three movies 😅
Papa Meat honestly never disappoints with his videos

You should do final destination, shit messed me up as a kid also ngl. Another great franchise you should watch is VHS. Those movies are great and keeps it interesting because they are like a bunch of short films of different "found footage ". My favorite one was the guy who turned into a zombie and you saw it happen in first person the whole time. Shit was a trip.

I was pretty desensitized to horror movies by that point even though I was young but as someone who grew up watching horror movies and had my parents explain to me how they do things, the first movie I could have fallen asleep to.
