So pretty. I love the crackly, textured look putting a topcoat does over foils. The metallic payoff is amazing on foils, I wish nail polish was that metallic!

I did an application yesterday on natural nails so I will let you know in 3 weeks when she returns. I have to say Shellac in general soaks off really well anyway. I only bought the Express5 because its LED cure and the same price as the regular top coat anyway.
I love the design. But why do you and other nail artists wipe off the back of the nail foils with rubbing alcohol? Does it really help the foil stay on longer ?
Annette Soto I use the foil adhesive by ebay seller Shardee-Nail-Shimmers. Her store is temporarily closed until the 15th July 2015. Just make sure you allow a good 4 minutes for it to dry, I find this fail-proof everytime I use it. Also apply a double gel top coat, so apply once then cure and then apply again and cure. This helps to stop it from lifting.

update.... these nails have been on for close to 3 weeks now and none of the striping tape or foil has lifted. I put this down to the double top coat.

Thank you. I find that applying 2 layers of tops coat works best for longevity of foils.

Shellac has a tacky layer. I remove this by using IPA on a lint free wipe. My nails are sheer pink acrylic over tips.
