Thank you all for being kind. Dodge is great at this. Sorry for my offensive sweat patches. (maybe they should be interviewed)
Really enjoyed our chat on so many levels Steve. You’re one of life’s good guys 👍🏼👍🏼
you are an absolute credit to your mum, she raised a gentleman. God is looking after her now. lots of love to you . x
@@angiejay3694 ahh... thats so lovely , thank you
Steve i thoroughly enjoyed hearing your story , you are indeed a lovely bloke. Id seen pics of you training on Facebook with the boxing trainer that was on Copycats, and i had wondered what sort of guy was beneath the absolute unit of a physique.
Id like to vote for a part 2, maybe even a 3 and a 4 ! Favourite podcast guest so far Dodge.
What a brave man doing this podcast 3 weeks after losing his Mum, amazing strength and courage, bravo Sir 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻❤️
Thank you so much
RIP to your mum, Steve. My brother and I were brought up by our amazing mum as our dad left us. She passed 5 years ago through dementia and everyday i look out for her.
Thank you so much. Hope youre doing well :)
Dimentia is heartbreaking
I’ve listened to probably 90% of your pods and this is one of my favourites. I’m an actor myself and listening to Murphy talk about his life and chasing his goal brought me to tears and made my laugh alongside it. He’s a pure human. A film about his life would be amazing? RIP to your Mum Murphy! Thanks for the pod!
So kind, thank you
RIP Freda! I hope you are looking down proudly on your son! He's a credit to your parenting.
💛
What a great interview.
You managed to get him to answer very uncomfortable questions in a subtle and kind way that seemed to give him some relief on some level.
What a lovely bloke. God rest his mum's soul and my condolences. Hopefully, he succeeds in the film business.
I can’t tell you enough how much your interviews have helped me and my own mental health issues, self worth and self esteem(and probably many others) They give so much more insight into people’s thinking and emotions than any psychiatrist could do and heal far better than any medication. Its my CBT therapy! Not wishing to sound dramatic but it’s totally changed my thinking, attitude and outlook on my life and life in general, past and present. Thank you Dodge and thank you to all that had the b***s to reveal up their struggles life stories ❤
A great story, Dodge. Sorry for your loss, Steve you’re a good lad.
Thank you so much. Means a lot.
Had the absolute pleasure to work on a couple of Steve's productions, one of the most genuine guys in the business, lot of love for this big guy.

Part 2. Definitely, that hour flew by. What another great interview 👍
I always learn a lot watching Dodge broach difficult topics. I like to think I'm good at connecting with people, but he's such a good communicator. Brilliant host.
Kind words buddy and much appreciated 🙏✌🏼
Yea hes great. I thought I was just talking my plays and films. Caught be off guard a bit, but really enjoyed it. Just was careful not to land anyone else in trouble haha

@@stevenmurphy6479 hey Steve I remember training with you at Bulldog Martial arts for a bit. Always a kind hearted gentleman. Except when you were putting kicks into the pads :-) I never knew anything about the film work you are doing, this is brilliant!

Absolutely the best pod cast I’ve watched so far. Inspirational and honest man 👍dodge is so good at this but you are genuinely a honest proper man . Thanks for putting your story on here. All the best 👍
Thats so kind. I really appreciate it
Been binge watching you recently, loved Alex Reid’s and this too, two of my faves! Worked with Steve on the doors too back in the 90’s & Noughties! Always enjoyed working with him. A great laugh and also great to have him watching your back. Been fortunate to see him work too on set! So diligent with a real eye for detail! Proud to call him a friend and even prouder to see him succeed and grow through adversity! A real fighter in every sense of the word!
Oh hey Butch ! Thank you for your kind words mate. Hope you are well.
Good man Rich 👍🏼👍🏼
Sorry to hear of the loss of his mum ❤. He is very honest with himself and holds his hands up to his lifestyle. Looking for to hearing more from Steve ❤

@@stevenmurphy6479 no sweat fella, be good to have a chat some time
Steve you think your a brave fella and tough on the doors, in reality yes that takes some kind of braveness. ...but i seen how brave you was when you talked a out your mum, how you cared for her and loved her and she knew she had a good 1 with you. And following your dreams now for yourself. You say your lost, and im sure you feel that way at the moment. BUT its abundantly clear heremyou know your blessings , both with your mum and your talent for the arts. Be proud mate , im proud of you and im just a scouse fella who can clearly see your a good human. Your that big hearted big mate that im blessed to have in my life in my best mate. Stay the path mate and back yourself. Dodge well done AGAIN!
Thats sp very kind
Part 2 please. That last question made me cry my eyes out. Ring your mum today and every day.
Yes! Connect with thos around you while you can :)
'those'
Dodge, you are, with genuine respect,a pleasure to listen to ✌️💯
Much appreciated Tom 💪🏼
What a lovely fella. I was my parents carer for years before they both past in 2020 and I know what he means when he says something is missing. You feel like you’ve got nothing to do because everything was for their needs, then it’s just you and all you want is them back. I’d like an episode two. Hopefully you’ll be able to help him get to know some people in the film industry to get a foot in the door 🤞. Also you didn’t mention where we could see the films he has made, are they available on the internet??
Best wishes to you mate. Yea, its like waking up and just being lost in a field at the minute. The loss is quite disorientating . Hope you're well.
Brilliant, as always 👋👋💙💙
Couple mins in i can tell this bloke would knock the socks off 90% of blokes. Hes tried his best and came through being a hard scumbag to be the articulate respectful man he is. Fair play mate
I was brought up my nan after my num died at 8 her name was winyfred strongest woman i know and makes you the man you are ultimate respect brother
@@leeconway2923 aaaahhhhh thanks man!
What a top bloke, get him on again dodge 🤟
Thank you mate
@@stevenmurphy6479 That final story you told of your mum welcoming “barry the armed robber whos just done 20 years” in for a cup of tea was just brilliant!!
We hope to hear more best of luck with everything mate 🤞
Ah mate, you've done Frieda proud mate, she will be looking down on you and im sure she so proud of you bud. Take care lad, great episode, bravo to both of you.
Thats really nice of you.
Part 2 would be brilliant, BTW 😍😍
Wish it went on an hour longer dodge so much more to talk about a was gutted when it ended, please get him back on ASAP! Great show mate
Thank you
Dodge, you're simply the best. I've stopped watching Tuff and Terry stone because they don't let the person speak and prefer listening to their own voice, you don't. You let them talk without interruption and create a far better listening experience,
I’m glad you’re enjoying the podcast mate 👍🏼👍🏼
Seems a genuine good guy
He’s definitely a good soul and he’s certainly had a very Eventful Life 😊
Thank you
Holy crap I know this guy. He used to go to Bulldog Thai Boxing gym. Remember doing pad work with him and the FORCE he used to put legs kicks in was insane. Could barely hold the pad!!! Remember him being a door man on Christchurch road. There was also another bouncer who must have weighed 20 stone, this other guy once grabbed an entire group of young people and threw them out all by himself. And nice memories of Bournemouth around that time. I used to work as a bar man at the Opera House - you had hard house - Tidy boys nights downstairs then used to have the big Drum & Bass DJs playing at the upstairs bar. I was upstairs and I loved it. Great times, shout out to the Opera House bar crew and Bulldog Thai boxing crew! I wasn't 100% sure but as soon as he mentioned Genine I knew. Genine was a total legend and sorry to hear things didn't work out between the two of them.
hahaha thank you :) Its a small world
The Academy/Opera House were crazy times
@@stevenmurphy6479 sure were 🙂
@@stevenmurphy6479 oh Steve do you know what happened to Bulldog? Last time I was in Bournemouth I didn't see it. Did it shut or move somewhere else? That was a great club
Everybody thought we was old bill lol.
Wish you all the best Steve, keep at it!!! You worked with my son on the door at the casino (Joe) and yes your absolutely right the highlander was an absolute den of 💩, good luck with your future plans and your film making, my lad has always spoken very highly of you as a man 👍👍👍👍
ah thank you. So kind. Yes, I really like Joe
A part 2 Defo worth doing 👍🏻
Thank you
What a bloke❤
Definitely need to do another chat… I was giggling then tears in my eyes and then giggling again…. Forget the milk, forget the milk 😂😂… You will get your big break, you totally deserve it… ❤
Those milks are a nightmare to open at the best of times, but not after 18 Es and a load of coke haha
Very well spoken chap 👍
Great episode - funny and insightful- Steve should make a film based on his life - raves/ doors
hahaha, thank you
What a lovely bloke. Very much feels like he has imposter syndrome. Like if he does well he thinks he doesn't deserve it. I think with the right people round him. He'd be very successful. Wish him all the best
Thank you. Yes. Im better these days. But I used to think of myself as a worthless mad piece of poo. All good now though :)
@stevenmurphy6479 you're worth man than you know mate.
God bless frieda ❤ my dad named his cat the same. He passed last year. He also had terrible dementia, i still feel lost now so totally get that part.
Much love 💙
ahhh thats nice. My mum was a perfect mum.
Dimentia is a killer. It broke my heart to see her beg for her mum in her last days. Its cruel. I couldnt do anything or call anyone. I just couldnt help her. I could only hug her. But she was so tormented
hope you're doing ok
This guy is so humble please please part 2
I love that guy , I’m on meds to . He’s my fave guest Dodge
WAHOO!!! MEDS!!!
Another great story, got the privilege to shake hands with dodge on a tui flight back from ibiza only a few days ago and didn't realise Brandon block was on the other side of me
Good to meet you Robert ✈️
Hahaha
Defo needs part 2 MOIPH 👍 💪💖

Dodge this is awesome! Steve seems like a proper genuine bloke, definitely had an eventful life too.
But also I love how you are willing to help people. I’ve said it before but you’re an inspiration. 👏🏼👏🏼
Nice one Coxy 🙏
Awesome 🙌🏾
Thank you
Good geezer !! Thank you both !! 👏🏼
Thanks mate
Thank you
Grew up in bourenmouth trying to get in the opera house from 15 years old
I know exactly how you feel about not caring and punishing yourself. I've have been taking copious amounts of strong pain killers which I know are harming me to punish myself for the things I have done to the people I love. I had a perforated stomach ulcer as a result of taking them yet that's so not enough to stop me taking them. I desperately want to change it's making me hate myself even more hourly one day I'll get the help I need.keep strong brother. Great podcast
Come to meditation mate. Its really good!
A been there bud drop is a line if u want some help bro
Get yourself into a gym lad!!
You really can change. I go to meditation now. If you'd have asked me about meditation 3 years ago, I would have laughed in your face. Change is always possible at any age.
Great guest Dodge,
I wish more people were honest & would admit their mistakes and learn from them.
Steve seems a really decent guy (wouldn’t wanna upset him though 😂), I wish him all the success for the future.
He’s been on a real life journey
Thats really kind. I feel like Im just getting started in life at 50.
@@stevenmurphy6479 I like the trailer to your film. When will it be released?
Brave man to go on a 3 day bender when the Mrs was a world kickboxing champ, says all you need to know about him 😅
hahahaha
It's tough being tough.
Im as tough as a skin of rice pudding haha
Awesome ❤
Thank you
Lovely bloke ❤
Thank you.
Aw, that’s so sad that he knew what he wanted to do but didn’t know how to tackle it
Yea, its part of why I self destructed I think. I was so frustrated in life. It was all l wanted to do, just didnt know how to go about it.
We went to opera house in 2000 we had a had in weekend in Bournemouth and ended up in the club, We was wearing shirt trousers and shoes, everybody everybody everyone
I was probably working in a bin bag. I did that once for a bet
Where can we watch his films to watch?

did the cechynian literally kill the man ?
No, I didnt mean that. But he went beyond. It was insane.
500 street fights in 30 years ! Well it’s good to know a security guy kept violence to a minimum. 🤷🙄
Clearly don't understand what security work was like in the 90s

I do mate, I was just trying to sound offbeat, but either way it’s still crazy, but overall I do think he’s a blagger to be honest.
@@technomickdocumentalist2495 Nah, he's 100% genuine mate!
@@GuestInMyOwnCountry
Exactly. 💯
@@GuestInMyOwnCountry
Nah, I’m not doubting that he’s had a ridiculous amount of fights in 30 odd years, but as soon as I hear a bloke say stuff like “ I cracked him on the jaw, turned round and slammed the other guy, smashed a bottle over another “. .. blah blah, 3 bags full shyte .. he’s head is still in the school playground, life’s cowboys and Indians to him the way he’s going on.
Mad because he doesn’t look like ya typical doorman
😂😂😂
