If you think about SISTAR legacy, she excelled herself as the other members. Soyou with collaborations, Hyolin with singing competitions, Bora with tons of variety programs and Dasom with her acting/modeling path. However, if you see it, I think at that time Hyolin was the only one who has always been pretty confident about herself. Dasom used to be criticized a lot because of 'her lack of talent compared to the others' and that she was just visuals; something similar happened to Bora who has always been recognized because of her visuals and bubbly personality but a lot of people complained about how she wasn't good nor at singing nor at rapping and then is Soyou, the only one who break herself (and I don't blame her) because seriously, the hate she got because she wasn't as good as Hyolin and she was the 'least pretty of them' was horrible. I really think Soyou didn't take more opportunities to her to shine because she was afraid, but as she said many times already after the SISTAR disbandment, now that she's by herself she doesn't have any other option that works and works and work. I trust her, she's a gem, she just needs to push herself and trust herself more. uwu
@@amy_ambrosio I think that experience she had resulted in one of her best coaching moments on Produce 48 where she told Chaeyeon to have confidence in her talents and not worry about her looks. I think those words came at the perfect time for Chaeyeon as she was beginning to doubt herself after having slipped in the rankings. I think what Soyou said helped her get through that very rough week.

Yep, only some of the top main dancers or maybe a dancer like Chungha can do those choreographies justice. Groups just don't usually have dancers at all their positions that can do their choreo. Sistar was to choreography depth what Mamamoo is to vocal depth.
