This isn't the PS2 version. There are multiple visual "errors" that are present which makes me think that this is the HD collection release.
Catbus does an excellent job detailing the visual downgrades that are present within the HD release for DMC3 here: ruclips.net/video/USE6-uwB6gc/видео.html
In fact, it seems most HD releases of PS2 titles suffer some visual downgrade unfortunately and modern audiences, who didn't play the originals, think that it's part the actual game which is a real bummer and a disservice to the original creators. They get blamed for the visual downgrades which is not their fault and their hard work is also presented in a diminished state.
I was hoping to find a playthrough that was actually played on the PS2 so I could see DMC3 in its original, "unblemished" (sorry if that sounds pretentious) format but it seems the uploader was either falsely advertising or simply wasn't aware of the visual downgrade or didn't care.
It's a pity because it's a really pretty game.

The original PS2 dmc3 you also don't have to beat jester at all unless it's the 5th anniversary collection for the PS2 and he's clearly playing the hd collection on the PS3 not PS2 so he is completely misleading and I should know because I have all the games for my ps4
Game is ported direct from Ps2 version for example you can ps4 disc on ps5 but that doesn't make that game ps5 game officially
@@TheLadslade not true because ya there are different discs for each console but it's still not the original PS2 dmc3 I used to have the original PS2 dmc3 game and I'm a huge fan of the dmc series and in the original PS2 dmc3 you can't fight jester you can see Dante's eyes and you don't get to play as Vergil so say what you want but your click biting people and that's just wrong and I don't normally comment on anything on RUclips but that just arct me so bad that I had to say something about it
