A little about Fashion and Style Edit
I've worked in fashion for many years, and I love having a good chit chat, so it seemed natutral to join the two passions together:) And with so many outfit ideas and style tips swirling around my head I needed an outlet to share all that information! How to style outfits in a new way that you might not have thought of, or sharing how you can truly interpret the fashion trends in a really wearable way. I guess I have quite a classic style but with an up to date twist. I love neutral outfits, elegant, timeless pieces and sharing how you can really get the most out of your own wardrobe. Essentially, I just love helping people and fashion is what I know, inside out and with my eyes closed! So if you finish one of my videos feeling a little bit inspired with a few outfit ideas you know will make you feel great, well then that makes me very happy indeed:) Thanks so much for being here.

Good morning everyone:) How's your week been? So today I'm talking my travel summer capsule wardrobe. What to pack when you can only fill one very small carry-on suitcase! I'm not usually one for packing light so I did find this a challenge! But hopefully you agree I managed to pack lots of lovely outfits and even managed to edit down that makeup bag too! Is there anything I've missed that you'd have to have with you? As always I'm looking forward to hearing from you all, big hugs ladies and a big happy Sunday to you all:)
Love that "milkmaid" dress. Keep wearing it and don't let the comment put you off, it's a feminine, lovely item!

Just charming Jess to join you at your Ibiza resort. (Sorry about that pool temp! 😯) Despite your reservations, you showed us in a very relaxed way how well this capsule worked for four days away. It could easily stretch to 2 X 4 Days with an extra swimsuit and a little laundry. Thanks for the delightful filmwork - so relaxing to watch. (Kath)

Gorgeous dresses Jess - adore the mustard outfit and also the tan jacket. I think blondes look brilliant in red and that shade of red is glorious x
So glad you like the dresses too Gloria, I was obviously craving pretty Summer dresses for this trip away wasn't i haha! That red is a strange one, I barely have any in my wardrobe but the two that I do have, I feel lovely wearing. I got a new one the other day actually that I shared on my RUclips shorts and it's a slightly pinky red that felt so nice to wear. Haha yes me too! And in fairness on our Summer hols I usually end up 'borrowing' some of the kids allowance but that's getting harder to do every year!

Where is you makeup bag from? Only having one skincare product is absolute genius as I end up having 2 bags 🤣 I don’t really wear a lot of makeup so it’s just my skincare that takes up so much room! Great tip!

The white dress is lovely! And anyway it's so pretty and often how people used to dress and we still can and do naturally, feminine and sweet, plus comfortable and airy in summer !You are right to not mind if others tell otherwise!

Hey Jess, wow you did amazingly with the packing. I've never been able to do carry on due to the liquids. My bare basics would be SPF, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser, serum x 2, mascara, lip gloss, concealer, foundation, brow gel, body lotion and even after decanting them that wouldn't all fit in a tiny little sandwich bag!! I don't know if any of the UK airports have relaxed the rules yet with the new technology but wherever you fly back from has to have it too. Hopefully it'll be a thing of the past in the next couple of years. Have a fab week hun x

I would add a wool pashmina in neutral colour-great on the plane if cold and useful on a breezey evening when dining outdoors. My biggest problem when packing is usually bags. Regarding the rip on your beach dress, try modelling a dart and make it symmetrical, i.e. on both sides. Many thanks
You can stitch it and apply a beautiful silk ribbon in orange or dark red . You can save it.!

Your white dress is lovely! I just bought a black dress almost identical to your first dress. I will be traveling carry on only soon, and that dress will be coming with me. If it's warm enough, I may bring mostly dresses. One and done :)

I really loved the first dress. Give me a dress or skirt with pockets and I am all in. I mixed my delicate pearl necklace with my delicate gold diamond stud necklace and felt the layering really worked with what I wore to dinner this evening. It is 10:15 PM here in Arizona USA. Thanks for the packing ideas for a quick getaway. I need to figure out how I can pack a carry-on for a 9 day trip to England this October. Any tips? By the way, you are a naturally beautiful woman. No need for makeup!
Hello Diane, I hope you're having a lovely evening:) Wow, 9 days in a carry-on, that is a tough one! What I learnt from having to edit down my suitcase for this trip is to start by editing down the easy parts ie: my makeup. There was so much stuffed in my makeup bag that I didn't really need I saved so much space just editing that down to the essentials. Hair too, I only took one pair of straighteners that will curl and or straighten and shoes could be kept really minimal with something warmer I was wearing for the plane (trainers) and just one pair of sandals I knew I could style with everything. Doing all that first I guess gave me a bit more room for clothes and those outfits I was really in the mood for! But thinking about what mixes and matches really easily really helped:) How exciting that you're coming to England, have you been before? I shall keep my fingers crossed for you that the weather is nice in October! Big hugs lovely and hopefully that little waffle helps:) x
@@FashionStyleEdit This will be our first time in England. We are big Beatles fans, so we are going to spend a couple of days in Liverpool. We will also visit Bath and the Cotswolds'/Stonehenge and the majority of our stay will be in London. My husband and I are so excited. Do you recommend raincoats just in case? And yes, your "little waffle" has helped.

If you like the concealer from Erborian, you should try their BB cream! I have used it for nearly a decade.

I love the lipstick & blush you are wearing. I absolutely love the white dress (do not let anyone tell you different) and am planning on purchasing a similar one. I too freeze on airplanes. I always take a cardigan and scarf on board. Perhaps, you could have a pretty floral piece of material added to mend your cover up? Excellent carryon packing job. everything looked great,I hope you were able to get your cover up mended,if the tear was near the waistband I'm sure a dressmaker would be able to pull the waist up a bit to stitch it in, I know it would alter the length a bit but you would get away with it. It's beautiful

Morning lovely, I was them in the machine:) Actually I did this again the other day and they came out perfect. I must admit I did just presume they'd be fine and popped them in without checking but I often think 'dry clean only' can often be over cautious and it's fine a lot of the time:) Hope that helps lovely
How does the Claire blouse from Sézane fit? I’m somewhere between a US6 & 8 (38 and 40 FR) in tops and their website says to size down but I’m worried the 6/38 will be too small!

@moniqueparent2816 Yes, completely agree. That beautiful Hesper Fox (sp?) cover-up, in dreamy sunset shades, was my fave from this capsule. Snagging is sadly the inherent risk with gauzy, floaty garments. Door handles and catches are unforgiving 😧

@karenthompson3947 Holiday hairstyling and accessories can be fun can't they! You don't need to look business/professional, and maybe have less wind and rain to contend with. I got younger Cybil Shepherd vibes from Jess's hairband. I think that's a style Cybil wore regularly.

Hello Sandra, thanks so much for watching and getting in touch:) It really depends when you're coming to London but at the moment I would say a raincoat of some sort would be handy. It's not exactly cold, just very wet right now. For London I'd highly advise trainers too. I'm imagining you want to see all the sights and there's a lot of walking so you may as well be comfortable:) I would have a read of the Michelin guide for some nice restaurants too, we often use that as a guide, even to find a good local pub.
