Today i when to visit the zoo which is located in Phnom Penh City Cambodia and one of my favorite part is to watch an Orangutan Boxing show. I felt so funny to watch it. So that’s why I recorded the show and want you guys to watch.

If you only knew what the trainers do to these poor creatures to get them to do shit like this. There is a reason they stopped using apes in Hollywood movies like MVP. The trainer of the star ape from that movie kicked the shit out of the ape for stealing a donut and the ape ended up dying from his injuries.

It's funny until you realise the anguish these innocent creatures have to endure to make humans laugh.
You do realize they aren't in anguish? If you notice, they are not malnourished and they really aren't doing any professional boxing, being the usual brutal match. None of these orangutans are having the Mike Tyson experience. It is mostly just simple hijinks where the trainers simply train the primates to do specific and gentle moves. (Notice how weak the punches are and how the trainer gives a specific hand phrase to commence a "kick or punch" thus meaning it is scripted/acted.) but I guess you are right, it is tough for people like you to suffer because of "animal rights activists" and in turn become a laughingstock to other humans. I pray that you can learn from this and become better.

They are Cambodian trainers.
With food, of course. Watch closely and you will notice him slip then a treat for their successful completion of tasks. Food rewards is pretty much how you train most animals. Humans included.

What is behind these boxing events is heart-breaking. The orangutans are usually taken from the wild when they are just babies after their mothers have been killed. Caged, beaten and starved, the orangutans are then bullied into performing.
The orangutans are forced to take part in these appalling mock boxing matches day after day, throwing pretend punches and kicks at each other for about 30 minutes each time. Sadly all the tourists see are orangutans at play, not understanding the pain involved.
As part of our work to help animals used in the entertainment industry, we are supporting our partner the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOSF) to create a sanctuary for rescued orangutans who have endured this type of cruelty.
BOSF has rescued over 2,000 orangutans and currently provide care and rehabilitations for approximately 700. Sadly, many of the orangutans are too damaged from abuse that they will never be able to return to the wild.

I live in Phnom Penh and for people who are wondering, this zoo is the best zoo in Cambodia. It treats its animals very nicely, their enclosures and clean and perfect for every species of animal. If the animals do feel stressed or angry, they will stop the show immediately. They would never harm their animals.
We love you, I salute you to make such videos without fearless and openly talking on any topic. Thank you so much
