Hey Everybody!! I just wanna say THANK YOU for all the love and support I've received!! Smash that subscribe to see more content like this in the future!! 😘😘
You legit remind me so much of dilla. This is is my second video of yours, and I thought that from the start. Keeping me super inspired over here cause don't see many producers approaching the dilla style with such finese.
i thought her shit was gonna be wack when she said melba moore sucks then i said she young, gained respect for her when she went back then i knew she takes her craft seriously
Hey Sarah, That was a fantastic Roulette attempt. The first beat was sounding pretty interesting but I love the way you pushed yourself and abandoned the comfort zone of Bob to re explore what is undeniably a pretty bleak territory. That of late 70s disco! And I have to say, you chopped it up nice, halved the tempo and got creative with it. Well done and I very much look forward to seeing another one!
This was cool to see. I like this creative style of making music. I’m glad you went back to the disco album and gave it a chance. You made a dope beat with it. 🙌🏾 definitely gotta find more videos like this one.
I was shaking my head on your initial negativity to the records you picked, specially when you didn’t feel the disco one. BUT you came through with reconsideration, dope video 🔥
LOL..no doubt... my Parent alert went off when I saw it. Love your channel... much success to you with the beats. Check me out also.. I am #TeamMaschine since 2009 :-)
Mad respect for going back and challenging yourself. There were a number of times I was here nodding my head going "there it is" while you were messing around. That disco had some fire too.
Awwww 1979 was my birth year. And yeah that was a post disco time, but it did stay for awhile longer, until like 82 or 83. Good job. I try to chop the shit outta disco records but I still have pretty much bad luck doing it. And I've been doing it since 95. Lol
Go Sarah...... hated that you settled for Bobby at 1st but kept watching and shared your video with my homie I be schooling on how to produce. WWDD is always the best creative plan to keep that man legacy poppin. Shout out to you for that too ;)
As a fellow producer that loves samples disco is the devil. What you found and converted is amazing. I am beyond inspired. Guess i will have to blow the dust off some of my disco collection.
yoooo. WWJDD? I like it. the way the 2nd beat started coming together, I got Gensu Dean vibes. Particularly off the Algorithms beat tape. But then you added drums and it woke up more. this was dope. and you're right, Mass Appeal does not have enough female producers featured. I can only remember Georgia Anne Muldrow on there but was only for an event they had with Sprite. keep doing your thing. 💯🤙
I respect how you challenge yourself and step out of your comfort zone with the disco record...I admire the grind and you motivate me...keep being !ll 👊
Sarah2ill i have the mk2 white i dont consider myself a producer tho its just a hobby. Until im confident enuff in my beatz. I seen u chop that disco sample in like 10 seconds. It takes me about 30 minutes to manualy chop sixteen pads. Was wondering how you did that.
+CuzinBilly is your mk2 software up to date?? Because when you the slice on “manual” it should light up for you to press the button and stop it with the next pad and keep pressing the next pad.
Sarah2ill im on version 1.8.2 that was the last update via the service center for the mk2. I add sample to the first pad then duplicate to next and adjust the chop. I repeat this threw all pads thats what i ment by manual.
+Tampa Redd yeah. I had my home girl shoot me for the first part. It was her first time and I gave her the feedback about the lens and having an external mic for better audio. My usual set up is with a Go Pro session and I use their app to preview myself.
hey loving this flip. i do have a question on your sampling method. at 7:08 how did you set it up to make chops every time you touched a pad to the drum beat?
staright blew my mind!! one my top producers on my top favorite producer shows!! TEN.. ITSA TEN... great job..

Wow!!! That came out nice. Getting that 12" single really makes the rhythm roulette challenge more difficult. Love the end result.
The way you freaked that "Soul Rebel" was crazy.
As a fellow producer that loves samples disco is the devil. What you found and converted is amazing. I am beyond inspired. Guess i will have to blow the dust off some of my disco collection.

Dope! I like that you went back in on the disco record.
yoooo. WWJDD? I like it. the way the 2nd beat started coming together, I got Gensu Dean vibes. Particularly off the Algorithms beat tape. +David Robot it was like $25 lol. I was like. Damnnnnnn usually I spend like $5 on records
Randomly came across this vid... Determination paid off. Beat is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was actually listening to some early Wailers today & thinking about sampling it. So it was extra cool to stumble on this vid for me.

At 7:10 ish she makes like 32 chops in 10 seconds how do u do that? Thats 30 minutes of work i do manually just chopin
+CuzinBilly Maschine is the shit!! People be sleeping on it!! Make a beat in 5 mins. What program do you use?
Sarah2ill i have the mk2 white i dont consider myself a producer tho its just a hobby. Until im confident enuff in my beatz. I seen u chop that disco sample in like 10 seconds. It takes me about 30 minutes to manualy chop sixteen pads. Was wondering how you did that.

+CuzinBilly yeah you have the old version. You may need to update your operating system on your computer to update to the latest Maschine update.
Damn. I live nearby. The best one besides the one in SF and Berkeley
Good job!
Buffalo, Ny?
How can i get on the show with my new Isla s2400 beat machine
Yea, I could hear the lens noise from the first camera. Whats the same set up on the 2nd part of the vid? GoPro w/the iphone as the viewfinder?
+Tampa Redd yeah. I had my home girl shoot me for the first part. It was her first time and I gave her the feedback about the lens and having an external mic for better audio. My usual set up is with a Go Pro session and I use their app to preview myself.
Sarah2ill Nice, looks good! Makes it feel like we're sitting right there next to you lol.
I did not see this coming. Easily in my top 6 of all Rhythm Roulettes
+antwane fort WOW! thanks for watching!!
i dont know whats going on now but your undercut in may of 2017 was flawless and that marley beat was flames tho
hey loving this flip. i do have a question on your sampling method. at 7:08 how did you set it up to make chops every time you touched a pad to the drum beat?
+Nigel Lewis hey!! Maschine has a "manual" setting when your chopping a sample.
+Nigel Lewis it allows users to play the sample on one pad, then chop it up by selecting the next pad. It's dope!
oh shit this is a game changer for me. thank you so much!
what was all the background noise and scratches and did i hear a trumpet sample too?
Sister your DOPE... love it. Peace
