It's frustrating and kind of ridiculous that you can't get a Spotify as an app for the watch. I mean like... C'moon. It's 2020?! Who downloads mp3-files anymore. *sighs* 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒

Very useful video. Thank you. Regretfully I use an iPhone and that transfer music feature is not available, unlike with my Galaxy Watch which allows music transfer from an iPhone.

Can you download the Spotify app to the watch and use the app independently without a phone? I would like to go running only with the watch and earbuds and play the music from Spotify in the watch.

@Zhenyu Liao, I have personally tested samsung active 2 with music streaming from music player to wireless ear buds for half an hour while running with gps off drains about 5-8% of battery, this can go up to 10-13% if gps is on but if this were to be done on fossil gen 5 it will be crazy 50-60% with gps on. I've tried using your method and it worked, however, it says the file format error and I'm unable to play it on watch. Please Advice.
Thanks for watching & comment. I am glad it helped. The file format error comes for two reasons 1) If the song you transfer is not .mp3 or .aac file format. You must make sure you only transfer .mp3 or .aac file format. 2) If the Bluetooth connection was interrupted during the transfer & the file was not completely transferred, in that case you have to just delete the file with error & re-transfer it. I used the Huawei music app to download music on my phone and transfer it to my watch gt2. However, when i press on the music it says file format error. I've read about this and it says the it should only be MP3 or aac but i don't know how to check that on the app and it is the Huawei app so i thought they would adjust it automatically. i am just really frustrated, thank you and great video

You cannot rename a file from the watch and when you rename a file from your phone you are just changing the file name but you need a software and a laptop to change additional details like album name, artist name, track name etc. I get it when you download MP3 files they have weird names with web links. Hi I have a Gt2e and when I run I want to skip the music if I don't like a particular song but I have to go into music and then press skip. I would like the music selection to stay on the watch when I'm running. Is this possible??

On a work out screen when you swipe left or right you should get music control option you can skip an entire track forward or backward but you can skip a segment of the song with the watch. Can you see music lists without opening music in menu? I mean when i swipe right and music player doesnt show the up arrow at bottom.

Playing the music installed on the GT2 via bluetooth results in horrible quality sound IMO. Which is too bad because I purchased it for this very reason. Playing music from my phone via bluetooth and controlled by the GT2 is much much better sound but defeats the purpose in my situation. I wish the BT sound quality was better for music on this watch.

how is the quality and loudness listening from the watch?

hi, i went on youtube and dowloaded a song as an mp3 file, then i open the healrh app and go on add songs but there is nothing there to add, please help

Okay I think you need to change the downloaded song location via a file manager as the song you downloaded is in a folder that huawei mobile app is not able to access so move it to adifferent folder and see if it helps. Hi, please help me, I just bought a huawei Fit, and the music option is not there... I have in general settings to not use it as a remote control.. but that's it... it doest have the option to transfer any songs into huawei health and all... I am so upset :(

I am thinking about getting this, or the Fitbit versa 3. Same price, best money for smart watches right now. The fact that the watch can't open spotify automatically when you click the play button, or the play button cannot be mapped to the native music player app on your phone either...sucks balls. Same with fitbit versa 3 i think though. just doing research before i buy either, so far deffo thinking this is better and has more features/looks better.

So you habe GT2e now GT2e does not have a speaker so you need to have bluetooth headphones connected to the watch to answer a bluetooth audio calls and microphone is for that and may be for future updates and softwares that huawei may add. Bro this is the reason why I prefer GT 2 vs the GT2e because GT2 has a loud speaker. Very good review! I've just bought the huawei gt2. unfortunately, the maximum volume with the paired jabra 75t is very low. with the smartphone, the maximum volume is much louder! do you or the community have an idea how i can solve this problem?

Huawei watch GT 2 runs on Huawei Lite OS vs watch 2 runs on android so I am sorry bro what ever you see in this video will not be available on your watch. Hope this helps. Why could you not change songs on the Samsung Music App through the watch?
Could you confirm if the GT2 watch can control the music from the Samsung Music Application (I.e. skipping songs and playing the next song or going back to the previous song through the Watch Controls)

People ask for Spotify to make and verify an app specific for a non smart custom os watch, wear os watches and apple watch have only 2 days of battery life because of all the apps and services running on the background, you can't have it all unfortunately

This is an awesome watch does not lag, processor is fast can store music and has a speaker you can take audio calls directly from the watch without phone, screen is good, has Spo2, fitness tracking is good and amazing 2 week of battery life. The only proble which is a major one is there is no app store so no third party apps, games or watchfaces.
