If you think RJ and Lamelo are going to come here and demolish the league I think you're going to be in for a severe dose of reality. The NBL is a physical league and RJ and Lamelo are both just kids. Expect them to come in for some physical treatment and be forced to earn minutes. Lamelo's going to need to get on the 'roids, or they are going to need to pair him with a Rodman/Draymond type player to look after him.
@Boi the Boi Exactly, don't get me wrong I'm hoping the kids torch the league as I live in Australia and I could easily watch a game but i highly doubt that they will. They will most likely come off the bench maybe start if injuries open up the starting line-up and I'm 100% sure even if they do score a lot it will be inefficient.

Charlie Odeon bogut isn’t the best player in the nbl. Sure he had some big games but many better than him. I’m not sure Ball will do too much in the nbl unless he goes to a crap team

Your comment that Lamelo Ball would "demolish the league" is absurd. Lamelo Ball was in Lithuania one year ago and averaged 4 points on 27% shooting and was benched because he would not play defense and was not coachable. Watch the video when he played L. Rytas, (it is on RUclips) he looked like absolute trash --- 7pts in 23 minutes on 2 for 15 shooting? Lamelo's team got blown out by 33 points? This is against a bunch of slow ass white boyz. What is going to happen when he plays against even better competition in the NBL or China? How has he improved over the last year? He came back to the USA and played against weaker competition and his HS team lost to another HS team ranked 3,000 in the country. Also, there is a HUGE disconnect between the athletic ability of Lamelo and guys like RJ Hampton and Ferguson (guys who have a legitimate shot at making the NBA). Ferguson is jumping from almost the free throw line and dunking also Ferguson is doing 360's off a two foot jump. Watch some of Hampton's clips, he is doing the same, dunking in traffic catching alleys off two feet and dunking. This compares to Lamelo who needs like a 747 Jumbo Jet runway to dunk off a one foot jump at 6'7. I have never seen Lamelo dunk off a two foot jump, what is his vertical leap like 15 inches? My opinion is that Lamelo is not going to play in the NBL or China because no team in their right mind wants to give him any sort of minutes and he will be a bench player. Lamelo's representation (his Daddy) is probably insisting that Lamelo needs to start, which is not going to happen because teams in the NBL and China want to win games. Lamelo did not enhance his team in Lithuania they were last in the league.

I agree he won't play in the NBL or the China league I bet he hides somewhere again for a year avoiding all competition and praying some GM drafts him late in round 2 based on "potential" which won't happen
@@LM-ge4so It is crazy and amazing to me how Lamelo Ball's name is thrown around on these RUclips videos like he is an NBA draft pick and some star in the making. I agree with your point that we may never see Lamelo play in a professional game next year, that is very possible. The only way he plays in the NBL or China is if he comes off the bench. The problem with that, is that it does not fit the Lavar Ball narrative that he is a "one and done". If Lamelo steps one foot on the floor in the NBL and China and does not produce decent numbers, his draft stock will plummet because it factually and statistically demonstrates that he has improved from the TRASH stats that he put up in Lithuania a year ago, whereby he averaged 4 points on 27% shooting, was a negative impact on his team, showed he is not coachable and does not play defense. This is a completely different scenario than this Hampton kid who has never played pro and is much more athletic. I don't agree with these comparison of Lamelo and this Ferguson kid from OKC. Ferguson is a crazy athlete, he is like jumping from the free thrown and dunking. Lamelo Ball does not have even close to that athletic presence and probably never will. Lonzo was a freak athlete in 11th grade, Lamelo don't have that bounce and those twitch muscles.
I agree Ferguson got drafted in the 1st round even tho he scored like 5ppg in the NBL because he fit a role in the NBA of a possible 3 and D guy with great athleticism. lamelo fits no role in the NBA because he can't shoot, can't play D, and isn't very athletic by NBA standards so he better put up great numbers if he wants to get drafted.

Tuff1x I think under nbl rising stars program he qualifies. However a couple of teams that are struggling financially can only afford 2 imports so he could be a cheap third import
It will only happens if the leagues allows it and to have 2 under developed players in the same team is a huge risk to the club because one will have to fill the import spot. These guys arnt gonna come and dominate and will most likely see an avwrage of 10 minutes a game

@@PeachythePicker it all comes down whether NZ are title contenders or not that will determine his minutes im guessing. The league is focus on their development and preparing them for the nba. Melo is a good fit for the hawks but i could see him wanting to go to a big market team such melb, sydney or perth. Most likely if does come the league will assign him the the new club the Pheonix

Easy on the superteam talk!!! In Australia the NBL is full of tough vets and talent and 2 18/19 year old kids wont be a superteam! They maybe fun to watch but will get beat up by tough ass Aussie players who dont flop!

They were in the same class in HS, Kemba just didn't get into the league as quick as Jennings. Kemba played at UCONN for a couple of years before entering the league.
