I agree, it’s a tough call. I think your wife’s dirt bike experience is a plus. Her judgment will dictate if this is something she is comfortable with and wants to continue. Being cautious is reasonable, living in fear not so much. My son took the Harley academy course. It was very basic but, he has never ridden before. Back to basics could probably benefit most riders. Have fun !
They have classes opening up near us in January. I’m going to get her in! And then when she’s eligible for a more advanced class I think I’ll take that one with her
I think thats awesome! Shel be able to share the same appreciation for the road and bike as you do. Thats a sick bike too. Also, proud of you brother, for growing and running your business that way that you do. 🤘
You can't be too mad or scared for her if she wants to ride! I understand the fear of it but you put her through the same feelings on the daily lol. What scares my wife is when we're both on the bike! She'll be fine msf courses and riding with people who are responsible.
Absolutely! She has a lot of trust in me while she’s on the back. I’ve put us in a couple sketchy situations lol. But we both understand what she needs to succeed. And it’ll definitely be up to me to make sure she doesn’t feel like she has to keep up with anybody
@@GilstrapGarage my wife is confident with my riding while she's on back it just would suck if anything happened with both of us on back. That's why she gets so nervous being on bike same time I am. She's giving me shit about getting my 5 year old a Simpson helmet for Xmas.. lol. She scared of him getting on too! But at the end of the day do what makes you feel comfortable I'm glad your wife is take an interest.
Let her take classes and see how she takes to it,she might not like it or start her on a dirt bike to get the fundamentals, hurts less in the dirt than asphalt. 😮
I know this is a year old but I would let her try it if she doesn't feel it's for her then at least she had the experience to try it. Maybe you should both get dirt bikes, then both of you could enjoy the ride together, instead of her always on the back of your bike, not saying that she doesn't enjoy the back seat, but from your newer vids I think she would be happier on her own bike weather it's a street bike or a dirt bike.
Great video man, what’s wrong with a 05 88ci with 45k miles huh? lol jk. But on a side note I know exactly how your feeling about all of it and you are just like me. Get her some classes and see how far she goes with it who knows she might be pulling wheelies better then us haha. And to be honest I have been thinking of doing those courses my self, all my fam who has ridden for years always say do it, doesn’t matter how long you have been riding you will always learn something and benefit from it.
Yeah man, i definitely want to take a class too. After she gets her license she will be eligible for a more advanced class, and I think I’ll do that with her. But there’s nothin wrong with an 05 with higher miles! Your bike is proof of that haha. I’d almost rather have an older bike with higher miles because that means it didn’t sit it’s whole life
@@GilstrapGarage let us know what it finaly was. In my case it was the rod ( and rubber o ring and baering) conecting the clutch basket. Its notorius that the rubber o ring start leaking. In my case the inner primary case has to be removed to replace the o ring. Hope its not so in your situation.
Give your wife the shot at riding. That's all you can do. If she doesn't like it, at least you tried. I tried with my wife. She didn't like it. She likes riding with me.
Love you babe ! So excited!
Love you too! You’ll do great
Congrats on your new bike!

Thanks man! Hopefully I’ll be able to pack this all up and take it out closer to you guys 😬
Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching! Much appreciated
I'm excited and nervous at the same time.
Me too 😬

She should DEFINITELY have some MSF courses
I agree 100%. They have some coming up I. January local to us, I’ll going to reserve her a spot

That was probably someone's Stunt bike.
Nahh this thing is way too mint to have been a stunt bike. It’s sat for a while. The tires have full tread on them and are dated from 2016.
Could be the rod what goes in the clutchbox ?
( rubber seal?)
Whole primary have to cone of.
@@donaldduck2801 you talkin’ about the leak my man? I think it might be the o-ring for the drain plug or possibly the primary seal. It’s not bad

Thats exactly how I’m going in to it. We’ve done so many miles together on my bike, I’m not scared to go back to that lol
