I think next year instead of focus pieces for the year, a monthly focus piece like the WIPs o' Shame would be a good idea for you to make big progress without being tied to one or two!
Could do a focus for full coverage piece and focus for non full coverage so you don’t get burnt out during the month. You can choose which one each day to work on.

I have a half completed blanket also, I started it for my grandson, they were going to do zoo animals and then they changed their mind and went to nautical and didn’t want animals so I stopped. I need to get mine out and finish it also. lol I have a lot of old half done projects.

I got the front lawn mowed in like 30 minutes! Still haven’t done the backyard yet though and it’s turning into a jungle 🤣
