I can only imagine what a trip this scene would be if someone finished season two and just skipped to this. The elf who killed Harrow is not only flighting as Callum's side, but there also seems to be a degree of care between them. Furthermore, they're fighting Claudia, who was so sweet and cute in the first seasons and would never have hurt Callum.
@@DragonGoddess18idk about that. the first time dark magic made him so violently sick that the only way to survive was to forge a connection. the second time, dark magic had no negative side effects, making the connection was just the only way to save him and his friends

In scientific terms, the use of dark magic severely damages a dark mage’s brain chemistry, often leading to the development of various psychological disorders, such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Narcissistic Personality Disorder. The writers explicitly state that Claudia is the only one who has managed to resist the total corruption of dark magic. This resilience is nothing short of a miracle, attributed to her strong capacity for love. Claudia had many chances to kill her former friends but she did not.
im saying its only a matter to time before the darkness takes hold of her and she goes through with it. she has killed using dark magic before. next time, I cant help but feel she will not hesitate to kill again.
@@michaelfriedman1666 I don't really think she could willingly kill her close friends or family though. I mean in the last episode before she ran away she said to Soren "I could kill you, but I won't. I'm still nice, I'm still me." For her to get to that point I think Aaravos would have to have full control of her body like he controlled Callum in earlier seasons. She wouldn't kill Callum either, she had a legit opportunity to end his life in season 7 but didn't and just fled. She said she didn't want to kill him before their fight. I definitely think she's still good on the inside even if she's been corrupted by darkness. If there was no redemption planned for her, she wouldn't still be refusing to kill her friends.
This is how I think the Darkside of the Force was meant to be in Star Wars. Its not ying yang thing. The Darkside like Dark-Magic is a negative force in their world. Good can possibly come from it but not without the cost of something else. It easy to use but it leaves a deep scar on the soul. The scars build until you forget the reasons you got them in the first place.
Callum put up a good fight as a mage, but Claudia simply had the edge due to dark magic. It's such a shame what happened between them given how close Callum and Claudia were at the start.
I kinda wish this battle lasted a little bit longer, but other than that this was epic. It's good to know Runaan is protecting his in law, and Callum is also looking out for his too
I really wanted this battle to be more longer but I am still satisfied with it,maybe in arc 3(if neflix makes it real)we could see an rematch battle of this 2 with callum now learning all the arcanums of the six primal sources. 🧙🏼💨💨🔥🔥🧙🏻♀️
The showdown between Claudia and Callum really does show Claudia's edge over Callum and its great because it gives him a reason to grow. I love them both its such good writing.
If Claudia really wants Callum on her side, then why is she keep taking his breath away? How is he suppose to respond when she asked him a question? This girl doesn't realise that her actions have gone too far.
That's a great point! Claudia’s actions seem so contradictory-it’s like she’s trying to control Callum rather than genuinely win him over. Maybe she’s too focused on Aaravos’s influence and her own desperation to realize how much she’s pushing him away. What do you think her endgame really is?
1. Why would she know that? He died before Callum and Sarai moved into the castle. 2. And Callum used the "Freezing Blood" spell which he knows from experience is pure torture. Somehow no one bats an eye at that.
Either she forced herself as she knew if she didn't move, she'd lose, or the amulet had some active power even without the full spell as this is Aaravos we're talking about, or both.

I've got so many issues with the season, first that comes to mind is the Claudia and Callum fight. Like, I'm sorry but Venus Frigoris is a one shot type move, unless you can cast the unfreeze spell, you're done for, you're in constant agony and moving hurts like hell. Callum was able to move during it and cast the reverse spell back in season 5 because it's supposed to be the counter spell to it. And you're telling me Claudia just, pulls a corpse out of her bag (she SHOULDN'T be able to move her hands to even get it, let alone have the grip strenght for it) and casts the spell, which somehow stops the effects of Venus Frigoris Like??? No?? Even if you're out of breath the spell has already been cast, it's not like Aspiro where it relies on the user to blow it And then Runaan, instead of shooting her and ending the fight right then and there He threatens her? Just no
Magic, excitement, enchantments, comedy, drama, wonders, imagination, mysteries, action, fantasy, thrills, and adventures. Claudia has gone too far, far too far. She causes so much pain and suffering to the innocent. That armor transforms her with scales and makes her dangerous. Claudia didn’t want to kill Callum, but she’s still angry at him. Callum battles his former friend honorably with primal magic while he has Runaan to aid him. Yes, Callum and Runaan should have some time together, even if it gets a little awkward 🪄🔮🐲🐉🧝♂️🧝🧝♀️🧚🧚♀️🧚♂️
I really don't like that they had Runaan with Callum in this fight. In my opinion that was bad writing. It should have been Ethari or someone else, ANYONE else. Because how does a "senior assassin" not immediately put an arrow through Claudia, the main baddy of the series (who also just murdered another mage), while she is literally suffocating your daughters boyfriend? Granted Claudia has infinite plot armor. I am just saying It just should not have been Runaan in this scene.
Claudia is smarter, stronger and has more battle experience. 1 on 1 she can beat everyone except Aaravos and her dad. But usually she is fighting with her friends, that she doesn't want to kill, and also writers never let her fight 1 on 1. It is always Claudia vs 2 or 3 other characters. And still she almost always wins
Did it look like Callum was holding back against Claudia? Why can't he do a spell that would end her since she's long gone with how much dark magic has consumed her?
I think they were both holding back. She herself didn’t want to kill Callum and Callum didn’t want to kill her. They’re still on opposite sides but it sounds like they might have an even better fight or something down the road if we get season 8-10
It seems like Claudia is planned to eventually have a redemption arc. Because she said it herself in this battle, she doesn't hate Callum and she doesn't want to kill him. Claudia was corrupted by dark magic but she still has good in her. That's why she also held back and just fled instead of killing Callum and her brother in the last episode.
