Animate mistakes! Believable acting needs imperfection

- For good animation, you have to embrace human imperfection. Have your animated characters slip up, steady themselves or re-adjust their grip for more realistic and believable acting.

One beautiful animated mistake which made the character more human that I've seen recently is that one scene in Suzume where she's running to reach for a door while it's raining and the ground is slippery, so she falls side first into the mud in the middle of an urgent situation, so she just has to get up and keep going with literally no time to think about it and whether or not she hurt herself. The camera is at the best place for maximum dynamism an it's breathtaking.
I can't wait for the movie to get a physical release so I can study that scene, everything is absolutely perfect about it.
